I really like this bronzer makes my face glow and gives that nice balanced tone to it. As long as you don’t over apply the bronzer you should be good. It’s perfect for any occasion really whether it be daily makeup or going out.

The Nars Laguna Bronzer is a holy grail in the online beauty community, so I'm not sure why it took me so long to purchase. What really sold me was the constant promises of it suiting fair complexions without looking orange. On a work trip to Wellington I popped into Mecca and was helped by a lovely sales assistant. It is a high end brand, with a price tag to match, although it could be purchased cheaper online (e.g: Nordstrom.com). The packaging is, well, Nars. Black with NARS written in white. It is sturdy and sleek which makes it great for travel and it clicks open and closed easily, but not too easily. It also contains a mirror the size of the packaging. The packaging is great, although it does get grubby easily and if I purchased further Nars bronzers they would look the same.
The bronzer is matte with tiny gold flecks that aren't noticeable on the skin. It is pigmented, reasonably easy to blend and refuses to go orange, even when I am not fake tanned. It isn't powdery in the slightest which is great as this ensures even coverage on the brush and no wastage or mess. I use this as both a contour and an all over bronzer.
I used the Nars Laguna Bronzer the first night that I purchased it and the difference between the Nars Laguna Bronzer, and my previous Clarins bronzer, was astounding. It made a significant difference to my overall look, was clean and fresh looking and gave me some killer cheekbones. It has been 3 months since my purchase, and I haven't even glanced at any other bronzers. I will continue to use Nars Laguna for a long, long time.
Tips: Use this as a crease shade when traveling or in a rush.
I was sad when my bronzer was deleted.... but my sorrow was short lived. In walked Nars and my life was never the same.
You need a bronzer. No really you do. Contouring is your friend, sun kissed without the damage, yummy tones and people asking you what you are doing to look so good. Seriously.
If you are a fan of the blusher Nars Orgasm this is it's bronzer sister. They pair up together beautifully. Or are perfect alone by themselves.
Nars has great casing. Simple, black and has a great mirror (great for those on the go).
The reason I like this bronzer is that it has a gradual build up. I am very pale (like a ghost) so I am always worried if a bronzer is too dark. But this has a gorgeous brown shimmer that applys wonderfully and blends with your natural colour. So if you want it to be darker you just add more.
It wears well - usually I apply before I go to work and then I might add a bit more if I am heading out after (I prefer my bronzer slightly darker for night wear)
I know this has a bigger price tag but it really is worth the $$ and it lasts a long time. I mean I get great wear out of mine and I use this everyday. I will even sometimes only use bronzer and mascara (if I do not want a make up day) just to give my face a little colour. I can not recommend this enough.
As a beauty lover I just had to purchase this cult favourite to see what all the fuss was about! The hype is true...this is a lovely product!
The packaging is the standard gorgeous and very classic Nars packaging which I love the look off, but, hate how everything possible seems to cling to it making it grubby looking most of the time. It is a sturdy, sleek and secure case with a decent mirror inside making it a great travel companion.
The bronzer itself is a matte perfect shade of brown, neither too orange or grey making it perfect for both contouring and an all over colour. It does have a fine gold shimmer through it, but, this is more visible in the pan than on the skin and translates on the face as more of a healthy glow which is why I describe it as matte (there are no visible glitters on the face, unless you got a magnifying glass out). The tone of this bronzer really is fantastic for my cool fair skin and I find it is perfectly pigmented. It is not so pigmented that I easily apply too much (I'm fair so this isn't hard), but, not lacking pigment to the degree that it needs a lot of building up. I find it wears well lasting throughout the day without wearing off or becoming patchy
The texture is smooth and silky and not at all powder which makes it look super natural on the skin and easy to evenly apply and blend into the skin. Nars is a high end brand so the price is a little steep, but, it is a fail proof gorgeous product that I will repurchase because I think it is worth it.
Tips: Use with a big fluffy brush for all over bronzing and with a contour brush under the cheek bones for amazing cheekbone definition.
Use in the crease when travelling instead of eyeshadow to give definition and depth to the eye whilst saving on suitcase space :)
I purchased mine at a much more reasonable price off Sephora using youshop to ship it to New Zealand
I broke my Nars virginity recently purchasing the Sephora favorites summerstash. There were 10 items in the pack deluxe sizes & this was one of the 10 included. This wee packaged cutie is just that. A matte black compact with the infamous Nars written on the cover flip top opening with a mirror on the inside. I own Too faced bronzers & this seemed to be similar to that of chocolate soliel. Just the scent is missing. It seemed to have tiny reflects in it however one applied there is no glistening just a matte bronzer. Pigmented so a little goes along way however if you have trouble & go in heavy handed it's easily fixed by blending out. I used as a contouring base & was happy with the performance. I reccomend this to any bronzer enthusiasts... You won't be disappointed the pay off isn't a slick muddy look it's a glow that just gives your face the look of glowing angel. Well not quite but you get what I mean.
Let me preface this review by saying that I am a major fan of the NARS brand. I probably repurchase more Nars products than any other brand in my makeup collection. Laguna, however, is not one of them.
I received this for my birthday one year in the "Laguna Jumbo Tiare Bronzer" variety (i.e. a large cake of Nars Laguna paired with the mini Nars Kabuki Ita brush).
It's buttery, it's pigmented, it's blendable. Beautiful. BUT! The thing that stops me from wearing it, meaning I haven't used enough of it to warrant repurchasing, is the tone. I have quite fair skin, and I find Laguna just too warm and orangey on me.
Tips: If you're super pale, try it out in store, and/or purchase in a small size initially.
Purchased one of these afew years back as I had heard it was a cult classic and unfortunately mine didn’t seem to have much colour pay off it was like it had a film or layer over the top so not too sure if I got a dud or I just need to work into it more with my brush
Dear NARS Laguna Bronzer, I thought I could live without you but it appears I cannot. You give me such a healthy glow and you're just the right depth for my skin. Sometimes I get a bit heavy handed with you and you buff off easily enough. I'm sorry I've hit your pan. I will repurchase you soon. Then we can contour until I get some real sun.
I've been on a forever quest to find that one bronzer that wouldn't make my porcelain near see through skin look as if I have just sat in a mud puddle and splattered it onto my face! Which is why I avoid contouring my face and really dislike. In my love of NARS I thought I would give Laguna a go and well...hello!
Packaging is in keep with all NARS blushes, a simple, flat, black, matte effect compact with NARS wrote in white letters on the lid. Flip it open and inside you are greeted with a large mirror that fits the whole lid space and the slab of milk chocolate coloured bronzer that is Laguna.
It has a softness about it that is rare in powdered products, it has no chalk feeling or harshness. The colour is a warm tone brown that makes even my fair skin look perfectly sun kissed without going over to the mud plastering affair. I personally use a rounded top kabuki to apply Laguna, as I find that is the perfect brush to just blend the bronzer out beautifully without leaving massive splodges of it on your face.
I have had a quick go at contouring with it, but alas I just can't get the effect right on my round fat face, but used as a face framer, blush topper it is gorgeous. A swirl and swish from the back of the blush line up over the forehead and in the shadows of the neck and nose gives a nice summery definition that makes my skin glow.
A beautiful neutral toned bronzer. The colour is lovely on the skin, not too cool toned or to warm toned making it a great product to both contour and bronze the skin.
Very buildable formula and layers well with other cheek products.
Easy to use formula but I do find if you are accidently a little to heavy handed or distracted while applying it can on occasion look a little "muddy" on paler skin tones and takes a while to blend back to normal.
Tips: A beautiful colour to use on the eyes to create natural definition as well as using on the cheeks!
