Nature Box Avocado Oil Range Review

Overall, I think this is a really lovely range of products. Some of the biggest highlights for me is that they're natural based, vegan, and cruelty free. The scent of each of the products is subtle, it smells quite natural/botanical, and while the base scents don't linger it leaves behind a gentle, clean smell.

I love that nearly all of the bottles have pump dispensers, sadly the shower gel doesn't which is a little odd but not the end of the world. All of the products felt very gentle on my skin and hair, didn't strip or dry out my skin and left me feeling clean, but balanced and moisturised.

The conditioner was a favourite of mine - It made my hair feel fantastic and knowing that it made my hair so soft and shiny without containing any silicones is so great. Less frizz and more shine - what more could you really ask for in a conditioner?!

I think it's fantastic that a more natural product that is vegan, cruelty free and actually do a great job as individual products is so affordable. I would definitely repurchase/recommend this range and will be having a look at the other products Nature Box do!

I love products with avocado in them, so I was very happy to be given the opportunity to trial the Nature Box avocado range. The range is free from silicones, parabens and sulfates, and is vegan. It is made from 100% cold-pressed avocado oil.

I found everything in the range to be easy to use, and to be very moisturizing. Everything except the secret repair cream is 385ml, so is great value for money. The secret repair cream is 150ml, so it is still a decent size.

The shower gel and shampoo come in green-tinted, clear plastic bottles, while the lotion, conditioner and secret repair cream come in opaque green bottles. All have black labels with Nature Box written in gold, and black pump lids, except the shower gel, which has a flip-top lid. The products are either white or clear, and all have a yummy, citrus scent. I found all the products to be gentle, and non-irritating to my skin.

Altogether I really enjoyed trialling this range. Of the range, I liked the hair products best, especially the shampoo and secret repair cream. If you are looking for a gentle, non-irritating, and affordable range, then I definitely suggest checking out Nature Box.

The Avocado range left me with a mixture of results...

I loved the shampoo the most and the conditioner just didn't cut the mustard.

I never used all products in the same morning as I was concerned that the aroma would be overpowering - though it probably wouldn't have been.

The products are well designed and would make a great gift pack.

They matched my bathroom beautifully (though I am one for the product than the look!).

I would definitely recommend these products to others - just because the conditioner didn't work for me, doesn't mean it won't work for others. Again, as the shampoo worked great for me - will it work great for others?

I really enjoyed using this range and learning more about Oils in products, I liked most products and there was nothing that I wouldn't happily use again. Loved the packaging and how it's vegan. The scent I didn't love, but didn't dislike either. I found most products worked well or at least did their job. I really liked the body lotion the most out of this range. Looking forward to hearing others thoughts on this range and trying what else this brand has to offer.

I really love the concept of no Parabens, SLES, Silicones or artificial colourants but am confused why an SLES would be added to a shower gel when it’s not included in thr shampoo.

The packaging shows that Schwazkof are trying to be more environmentally conscious by using 25% recycled plastic in their bottles while also creating a recyclable bottle.

There are some great products in the Avocado Range but I think if I were to continue using this brand then I’d mix and match between ranges to suit my needs better. Overall I liked the fragrance, the concept and the delivery. It’s refreshing to see big companies being willing to try something new to meet market demand for healthier more sustainable personal goods.

For my this range was somewhat inconsistent for me. The starts of it were the shampoo and conditioner - both of which I would buy again as they left my hair feeling refreshed but not oily as I have found a lot of products do with my oil prone hair. It was also a bonus having the conditioner work well with diluting the pink hair dye I used.

I wouldn't reach for the hair treatment again purely because I have other products that hydrate my hair to a point that doesn't look like it is coated in conditioner.

The shower gel smelled off to me and didn't lather up as much as I would like and the body lotion was a very temporary moisturizing feeling (which is why I feel like it didn't stick to my hands much).

I would say definitely use the shampoo and conditioner in conjunction with each other as they provided a great result on my hair. After consistent use of these products I could tell my hair loved it. I ended up washing it less because it kept my hair fresher for longer.

The smells of the products varied from product to product, and the amount of product you get per bottle was actually a generous amount. The idea of it being vegan was also a great initiative and I think they nailed some of it.

Thanks so very much BR for the opportunity to review this entire range. I was super excited to receive the full Avocado Nature Box range. What appealed to me most about the avocado was the promise to nourish and repair. I really enjoy products that harness the power of nature, so was excited to see the benefits of avocado oil - it's great to eat, so much be amazing topically right?

The packaging of the entire range is really striking. The green, black and gold stands out and looks really nice on my bathroom shelf. The instructions on each product were clear and easy to follow. The shower gel has a flip top lid, while the rest have twist lock pumps. I personally prefer the 'unscrew to release' style pumps because I do a lot of travelling and it keeps the product safe inside the bottles, but if you don't travel, the twist system is a lot easier to use.

Unfortunately the biggest put-off for me, was the scent - I hated it! I love my products to be nicely scented and something to compliment my perfume. This scent reminded me of cheap hotel toiletries with the slightest whiff of cat-pee - yuck!

The shower gel and lotion for me, were nothing special at all. While they worked, I didn't feel the gel was particularly nourishing when cleansing, and the lotion felt quite thin and just not a pleasant sensation.

The hair-care was overall pretty good, while the secret repair cream was the saving grace! I used the trio all 3 ways (shampoo and conditioner; shampoo, conditioner and cream as a conditioner; and shampoo, conditioner and cream as a leave in treatment). By far the best results were using the cream as a leave in treatment. It left my hair feeling soft and nourished without feeling greasy or lank.

Overall it seems like a decent range, and has convinced me to try the Coconut one

I was very excited to be picked for this trial team as I'm always on the look out for natural products that are free from parabens and other nasties.

After trying all five products I am on this fence with this range. I absolutely loved the body lotion and shower gel. The scent was light and refreshing and not too overpowering if you were using several products at once. Both of these products left my dry skin feeling nourished and thoroughly mosturised. On the other hand I found that while the hair care products left my hair feeling clean and soft and improved the appearance of my split ends, they also left my hair looking flat, lank and slightly darker than usual. They did wonders for my husband's thick hair however, so it all depends on your hair type. Sadly I just don't think they were right for me.

Overall I will definitely buy the body lotion and shower gel again but will give the shampoo, conditioner and hair treatment a miss.

Being called Nature Box I was expecting this to be a completely natural range, however on looking at the ingredients lists on the bottle and comparing them to my other products in my bathroom they were quite similar, so although they have natural ingredients added they arent 100% natural.

I liked the haircare range better than the skin care. However for me the smell is what is holding this product back. I dont know how to describe it, but it is not plesant. At times I thought it smelt like beer, and others like rubbing avocado directly on your skin.

The bottles are also not designed the best. The shower gel has a normal top and all the rest have pump bottles. However you need to pump quite hard to get the shampoo and conditioner out of the bottles and I needed about 8 pumps of each for my long hair, I suppose its one way to get a workout while you shower ;)

On a good note, my hair felt amazing, clean and hydrated without being greasy. I felt the body lotion worked well also but left my skin feeling a little greasy afterwards.

I will continue to use all the products until they are finished, but am unsure at this point if I would purchase it again

Firstly, the bottles were pretty and fairly easy to apply all the products, most had pump applicators. Conditioner - had to use a lot of pumps and left my hair quite dry Shampoo - clear and clean and made my hair shiny Hair treatment - helped with frizz and was great after towel drying to improve my hair. The bottle was too small though. Body lotion - easy to apply, melted into my skin and was very moisturising. Shower gel - made me feel clean and moisturised

There was good points for the range, love the packaging, the ease of application and the fact that it was made with avocado oil and vegan certified. It also, mostly did what it said but, I found the product cost a bit over the top and the smell, not overly pleasant. It's a nice range but not worth it, in my opinion.
