I love that this product can be used as a leave in conditioner or rinsed out. Really useful after swimming and shampooing to help prevent the dryness of hair. It was so easy to apply to my towel dried hair and once my hair had air dried it didn't feel or look greasy which is a real bonus with this product. Again a lovely fresh fragrance. Not sure if it will protect from split ends only use over time will tell. But with the nourishment it provides here's hoping.

I was excited to give this a go as I currently use a similar product from Redken.
How to describe my hair.... Well its a tad destroyed. It's been every colour under the sun in the last few years with plenty of bleach in between. I have plenty of hair but each individual strand is on the fine side. This means I always have split ends, that leaves my hair frizzy and damaged.
This product is packaged in a cute pump bottle and with 150ml it is going to last awhile.
I learnt quickly less is more when using it as a leave-in treatment. Too much and your hair ends up a strange bitsy texture. I also tried it as a rinse off but to be honest I felt like I was rinsing off all the goodness.
It's a slightly heavier consistency than my Redken product. This left me feeling like I could see that something was in my hair rather than it being absorbed fully.
I haven't used it long enough to know if it does help with split ends but it does help tame the frizz.
Tips: A little goes a long way. Comb it through with your fingers to get maximum coverage.
I have loved being a part of this trial, thanks BR! The Nature Box secret repair cream comes in a beautiful green bottle with a pump which is 25% recycled plastic. The packaging looks very appealing and upmarket to me. There is 150ml of cream and it is free from silicones and parabens.
The cream is slightly runny and has a very subtle fresh fragrance. It says it leaves hair feeling renewed and protects from split ends. It is too early to comment on the split ends but this made my hair feel so incredibly soft with much less frizz and a beautiful shine. I like to put a small amount through towel dried hair then blowdry. A little definitely goes a long way with this, start small so you don't turn into a greasy mess.
I love that it is 100% cold pressed avocado oil as it makes me feel like I am putting something great on my hair. This is a lovely repair cream which I would definitely purchase. I would love to try the coconut oil in this range.
Thanks BR for the opportunity to review this range. I have long, coloured and lightened hair so my lengths need some loving. I was keen to try the avocado range because it promised to nourish and repair - perfect for my dry, damaged locks!
The secret repair cream is the crowning glory to the haircare range of Nature Box. The packaging fits in beautifully with the rest of the range - the green, black and gold all looks quite striking together, and really highlights the key ingredient - avocado oil. The cream comes in a pump and dispenses the perfect amount of product.
I really, really disliked the scent of this range, however the cream is by far the nicest version of it. It's quite light and fresh, and while still not a scent I'd choose, it is something that I can see other people will love. The product is a thick white cream that smooths through the hair beautifully. I only need 2 pumps to cover the lengths, and it leaves my hair feeling soft and nourished. Definitely a keeper for me, and something I will be using regularly.
Tips: The best results by far, were applying the cream to towel dried hair and leaving in.
I have mixed feelings about this product. On the positive side it is free from sulfates, which I like. It also improved the appearance of my split ends and left my hair feeling really clean and refreshed. On the other hand it left my hair looking flat. I personally have never been one to straighten my hair or put products in it (besides shampoo and conditioner) as I have naturally straight blonde hair. I feel this product left my hair looking a bit darker and flat, which I don't think suits the shape of my face. I prefer my hair to have a bit more body and volume to it, especially now as I'm losing so much of it after having a baby towards the end of last year. On the other hand it did wonders to my husband's thick hair and left his looking and feeling soft for days.
Overall I think it depends on your hair, for some it may do wonders but for me I didn't like the end result and don't think I will use it again.
I was lucky enough to be part of the trial team for this range. I like that this product is free from parabens and also that it comes in a pump bottle, which is so convenient. This repair cream has made the ends of my hair feel softer, although I am always a little sceptical of these sorts of products because it is not as though you can actually repair split ends and it is difficult to know whether the product is even preventing them either, especially if you haven't been using it for long. However I am sure I will continue to use the Nature Box Secret Repair Cream until it runs out, as it does make the ends of my hair feel nice. It doesn't leave an unfortunate greasy residue like many similar products do, which is an added benefit. I have tried it as a rinse-off product for 30 seconds as the label suggests, however it didn't make my hair feel any different. I prefer to use it as a leave-in product after washing my hair with the matching shampoo and condition in the range, and I notice more of a difference then.
It made my hair very silky without making it greasy or feeling like there was product weighing my hair down. I'm excited to see if there are long term benefits of using this product.
Tips: The instructions aren't very clear but I believe you can use on wet hair and rinse off or leave it in on towel dried hair. I used it on damp hair and left it in.
I used this Avocado Secret Repair Cream in my damp hair after using the matching shampoo and conditioner, I prefer to use as a leave in rather than washing it out so I could see better results. I found it softened my hair a bit more than just using the shampoo and conditioner alone but I didn't see any repair, I'm guessing it would take a bit longer for those results and to reduce split ends aswell. What I really like about this range is the smell, its so fresh and clean and I love the smell of it in my hair during the day. The repair cream comes in a small 150ml pump bottle that's a metallic green colour with a black label and the eye catching Nature Box brand in gold. What I love about this range is it is also great for the whole family I have used this repair cream in my 2 daughters hair and its makes their hair feel softer. I have quite dry hair normally so I would love to continue using this product to see how well it works for me.
I received this secret repair cream along with the Nature Box Avocado Oil system and out of all of the products I think this is my fave!
Great packaging and colour scheme on this bottle, nice avocado green and looks natural. The pump is nice and works well, I didn't have any issues with it clogging etc. I tried this first on my 6 year old daughters hair which can get really tangly after washing, even with conditioner.
It worked a real treat, she was a bit funny about the smell at first, as it's not the normal sweet, yummy smelling smell. It's more of a botanical, natural smell and partly why I like it so much.
I washed, conditioned and towel dried her hair then applied about 2 pumps to my hand, spread it around my hands then combed it through mainly mid lengths to ends of her hair. You can wash out or leave, I left it in and it really helped with the tangles! Made it easier to brush when it was dry and made her hair really soft and luscious!
I really love that it's 100% cold pressed avocado oil and free from parabens and silicone plus its Vegan certified!!
A great little product that packs nice wee punch! Would definitely purchase this again.
Tips: I applied to towel dried hair and left it in, however you can apply and leave for 5 mins then rinse out, will try next time!!
I'm not one to usually put a hair repair cream in but always say I'm going to so this was a perfect opportunity to give it a go. I'm really enjoying the scent of this range as it smells so fresh. In terms of whether this cream repaired my hair is an unsure result. I will keep using it to see if it improves the more I use it. I appreciate that this product is safe to put in my hair however and appreciate the vitamins its putting in. Also at $14.99 for 150ml worth of product it is affordable for a decent product from schwarzkopf and Henkel.
