Nature Box Shampoo Avocado Reviews

I really like the colour and style of the bottle, the green colour yells avocado! The pump is great and worked well with no issues. The smell was, I thought, a bit "outdoorsy" when I first smelt it, but it definitely grew on me and now I really like it.

I tried this on my 6 year old daughter and myself over the course of around a week and found it to lather well, you didn't need too much to get a really good lather which is good. Rinsed out easily and didn't leave the hair too tangly.

I like the fact they use 100% cold pressed avocado oil with no sulfates, silicones or parabens and is also Vegan certified!

I would buy this product again for sure :)

This is product comes in a funky green plastic container that is made of 25% recycled plastic which compliments their product composition being free from silicone and parabens- I really like how earth-friendly everything about their product is. The colour scheme is green/black/gold and I like it, I think its nice and simple and sleek. The shampoo has a more see-through container compared to the moisturizer. It has a pump lid and is easy to use and control how much product comes out. You can also twist to close it to stop leakage, especially good if you are taking it away with you which I thought was thoughtful and not a lot of pump lids have. The only thing about a pump lid for a hair product is having a shelf to put it on. I found the consistency runnier than I would have thought but this didn’t really bother me. I found that it was really easy to use, it lathered well and made my hair feel nice and clean. All the products in this range smell the same- quite fresh and subtle with an ever so slight hint of nature. I really like the smell, it’s so fresh and not too overwhelming. My hair felt so soft and smooth afterwards and had a healthy shine. I really like this product- I think it is too early to tell whether it is helping to repair my hair at this stage, but I will be able to see over time. Overall, I would happily reuse this product.

I love products with avocado in them, so I was very happy to be given the opportunity to trial the Nature Box avocado range.The range is free from silicones, parabens and sulfates, and is vegan. It is made from 100% cold-pressed avocado oil.

The shampoo comes in a 385ml clear, green-tinted plastic bottle with a black pump lid. The label is black with Nature Box written in gold upon it. The shampoo itself is clear, and the pump is easy to use to dispense it. I found I had to use more of the product than I was expecting to in order to work up a good lather, but it was very gentle on my hair and left it feeling very soft, smooth and with a yummy citrus scent. The shampoo was non-irritating to my scalp.

I think this is great value for money, and I will continue to use it after the trial is over.

The shampoo is quite a thin texture. It lathered and spread through my hair really easily. The shampoo also washed out with ease.

My hair felt very soft and manageable - even before conditioning (which doesn't normally happen with my long fine hair - though I didn't skip the conditioner).

The smell was really inviting which was great as I was expecting to come out of the shower smelling like an avocado (which I didn't).

The green/gold/black packaging looks great in my bathroom!

The shampoo lathers up well, the pump measure is generous so I think it would be a lot for shorter hair. The scent isn't as potent as the other products, thank goodness. My hair felt clean and soft. This shampoo definitely compliments the conditioner and although I didn't use it with other products, I don't think I would.

I loved trialling this range, this shampoo was great - wasn’t anything amazing or insanely better than what I normally use (sun silk) but I still really enjoyed it. It made my hair feel soft and silky, I didn’t have to use too much product to get great results and my hair doesn’t get as greasy as often. I enjoy the packaging and how it’s enviro friendly and vegan. Scent wise it’s is okay, I’m not a lover of avocados but it smells fresh and clean. It’s a nice sized bottle and loved trying something new with the avocado oil.

I was very excited to try this shampoo as it is free from sulfates and parabens etc. The shampoo had a light subtle scent that wasn't overpowering, which was good if you are using it in conjunction with the body wash and conditioner. I liked the fact that it came in a pump bottle so you could get the exact amount you needed without wasting any (I found two pumps was the right amount for my hair). I found that it didn't lather as much as the other shampoos but this was probably because it was free from sulfate surfactants, so this wasn't necessarily a bad thing. When I blow dried my hair after my shower the bathroom smelt just like a hair salon, which made me feel like I had given my hair a treat. It did improve the appearance of split ends and it felt very clean but I also found it made my hair look a bit flat and darker than usual (I'm naturally very blonde) and by the next day my hair looked like it needed to be washed again. Overall I'm on the fence with this one. I really wanted to like it as I like the body wash and body lotion and I like the fact that it's natural and free from nasties but I'm not sure if I will use it again. It did however do wonders on my husband's thick hair - making it feel very soft and clean so I think it all depends on your hair type.

I love that this vegan product is free from sufates, parabens and silicones altho don't think it lathered up quite as well as other shampoos but I guess thats due to being sulphate free and the fact that we expect super lather from shampoos that isn't really necessary. It comes in a pump container which controls the amount which I found for my shoulder length hair was 2 pumps to feel cleansed properly. I wasn't overly fussed on the 'industrial' type scent the shampoo had but found that it wasn't overpoweringly scented like a lot of shampoos and I got used to it. My hair felt clean after using it and not dry/strawlike and stripped of moisture like other shampoos.

I had high hopes for this product, but for me the smell is holding it back, to me it almost smells like beer, it certainly isn't a pleasant smell in the shower, thankfully it doesn't seem to linger in your hair at all.

I liked that you could see through the bottle so you could easily see how much you have left, however I really disliked the pump bottle top, I found it was quite hard to press, locked itself when you didn't want it to and didnt give enough product in 1 pump to wash your hair with, infact I needed about 6-8 pumps for my hair

I also found this shampoo very drying, without using the leave in conditioner treatment after using the shampoo and regular conditioner my hair was a dry knotty mess. However when using it as a range it felt incredible, this may be down to solely the leave in treatment, I am not sure.

On the whole I will continue to use this shampoo until it has run out, but don't think I will repurchase.

I was super excited to be chosen to be part of the Nature Box trial, thanks BR. I chose the Avocado range because it sounded like exactly what my hair needed. I have long hair that has been all sorts of different colours, and is currently lightened - so basically it's dry and needs all the love it can get, and I was sold on the promise of deep hair repair!

I really love the idea of harnessing nature to add to beauty products, so this ticked a lot of boxes for me. The packaging is beautiful - the green, gold and black flows well with the avocado oil. The bottle has a pump top which I do like; it dispenses the right amount of product, I only needed 2 pumps to fully shampoo my hair, which considering how long and thick it is, is quite amazing. The pump is a twist to lock/unlock, which works well if it stays in the bathroom, but isn't so great if you want to travel with it.

The product itself is clear, which felt odd to me as I normally associate that with a clarifying shampoo, rather than a nourishing one. It lathers up beautifully, and 2 washes took care of a really rough hairspray, exercise and cooking day - super impressed!

I didn't really notice the shampoo being any more nourishing or repairing than my other run of the mill shampoos. While it was fairly middle of the road for me, the one thing that really put me off was the scent. I just don't like it. It's sort of fresh and light, but it also smells a little chemical and cheap.

Overall this was just middle of the road for me, nothing fantastic but an ok product overall.
