Neutrogena Deep Clean Gentle Scrub Review

I have lost count of how many of these I've been through over the years - there always seems to be 2-3 of them floating around my travel bag - and they're always awesome. I believe my most recent ones were courtesy of BR, as it happens - BRBB and BV!

The slightly gritty cream that emerges from the tube is far softer and more gentle than you'd think. As it lathers up it retains it's creaminess and that feeling transfers to your face. The scent is also creamy and soft, which is soothing.

I don't find this to be at all stripping, drying or acne-aggravating. It's probably a little harsh for 2x a day every day, but for a few times a week, or a few days in a row on holiday, it's great.

I don't particularly like the packaging - I find it a bit clinical and serious - but it's the product that really matters, and that is great.

I got a freebie sample of this with my BR Vault goodies and ended up purchasing the full sized product after I had used this up so I guess that speaks for itself in what I thought of it !  .

I have quite dry and sensitive skin so I’m always weary when it comes to scrubs and anything that could be a bit harsh on my face. I use this at night as part of my nightly routine (wash off makeup, cleanse, gentle scrub and followed by rosehip oil and moisturiser).

I only used a small amount (only like a small spot of product) and massaged into my face and chest area (which is a current problem area of acne thanks to hormones). A little does go a long way with this product. The microbeads are a small to medium size and very gentle on the skin. It left my skin feel soft and smooth and very fresh without any irritation or drying out which I do find with some scrubs. It does have a slight fragrance but it’s not overbearing at all ( I really don’t like products with much fragrance).

It says not to use this around the eye area but I actually did (not eyelids) but the underneath and I didn’t have any problems with this which was fantastic.

Overall I was really happy with this daily scrub and for a very reasonable price I will continue to include this in my daily skincare routine.

I would recommend to those who like me can’t tolerate some of the stronger scrubs that dry out and irritate your skin. You don’t need a lot so this product will last you a long time a good staple to have in your skincare arsenal

This Exfoliator has earnt itself a permanent spot in our shower - my partner loves it.

Recently my 30yo partner decided he was ready to do more than just wash his face with soap (cringe!) and after quite a bit of research I thought I would start him off slowly.

This exfoliator is what I chose for him, something that'll give his skin a deep clean but is not too harsh, being a Mechanic he gets all sorts in his skin during the day and he would break out weekly due to not getting all of that residue off properly.

He now uses this every night, has told all his friends about it and I am forever buying new bottles for him in our fortnightly shopping.

Perfect start to a skincare regime for men, and I often use it myself - simple, effective and cheap!

When I saw this scrub in the market, the packaging was seriously so boring that I got no hopes from it t all. But since it said the word "Gentle" on the tube I decided to give it a go and it did not let me down.

It has very small orange colored beads which don't feel harsh on my skin. It has beta hydroxy which has been proved to clean pores deeply. Even though it contains Beta hydroxy and is an exfoliating scrub, it does not dry out my skin. The scrub has a pleasant orange smell and after its use my skin feels really soft and smooth. I felt my pores are less visible after using it and my skin didn't break out at all (I have normal skin but sometimes I do get breakouts if I use products with harsh ingredients). I can't comment on removing the blackheads part as I never had any.

The only negative thing that I can point about this scrub is that it is hard to take out the scrub when the tube gets half empty, maybe because the air fills inside. No other negative points about it. I love the scrub.

I have normal to combination skin, my skin is relatively great other than a week before getting my monthly. I have small blackheads on the tip of my nose and I knew this would be a chance to get rid of them.

After you wet your face, you apply a coin size amount to your finger tips and work it in to the problem areas. It has a very light scent and it has small beads that help exfoliate your skin. Once your done you rinse the scrub off, pat your face dry and moisturize. I found if I used this every day it made my skin dry around my cheeks, chin and forehead. So I use it every 3-4 days, it leaves my skin clear and smooth while removing the gunk from my nose.

I enjoy applying makeup after using this scrub as it makes my skin so flat.

I will be repurchasing again and would like to try the rest of their Deep clean range.

I think this has to be one or the better supermarket bought facial scrubs that I've tried. It is pleasant in smell and most importantly it is gentle, as stated on the front of the tube. I really like the 'refreshed' feeling it gives my skin after each use. It buffs really well without being too harsh, and leaves my face extra smooth. I think the 'gentle' statement on the front also refers to the fact that the product doesn't irritate sensitive skin. I react to many products but this one was fine for me. The fact that this is oil free is good for me as my skin can be quite oily at times.

To begin I should tell you my skin type: I am oily - dehydrated, slightly enlarged pores through cheeks, nose and forehead. I have some redness and old acne scarring (though not too bad). My skin's texture is very rough and dull.

I used this product all through my mid-late teens and it was a heaven send for my hormonal, greasy, pimple prone skin. The scrub is very gentle and actually quite mild, so much so that I could get away with using this every second day. The product itself is very creamy and smells fine, not offensive at all. You don't need a huge amount to cleanse your entire face/neck and it really does leave your skin feeling nice and smooth. I did find that this helped any active pimples go down and it helped to fight off any potential invaders. I think that as a whole the product is great, I really like Neutrogena as an overall skincare brand and have used a lot of their products over the years - this is one I have repurchased several times though. It's great as it's very pocket friendly which is appealing to teens, who I think would really benefit from this scrub. Will I repurchase? No, not because I don't like it but because I feel like I wouldn't really benefit form it any more as I look for more 'complicated' products that will deal to more of my skin's issues - this is just a nice basic product that I don't have any use for though it is fantastic!

This face wash is so nice to use! I love face scrubs (scrubs in general!) and this one is rough enough to clean your pores but gentle enough for every day use. Regarding my blackheads, I don't notice a major difference, so it only works mildly well.

The formula is very creamy and contains little orange chunks which work all the magic on your skin. The only thing I'm not really keen on is the smell - I hate Vitamin C tablets and this smells like the ones sitting in the bathroom cabinet. I usually run away when I'm told to have them, but I can't run from myself in the shower.

This formula of this on my face is so good, I really feel like it gets into every nook and cranny on my face, and my face is left dirt free and feeling very well looked after. I wouldn't repurchase this, only because I want to try different things!

Facial and body scrubs are my favourite beauty things to use so I was keen to try this scrub.

I usually use a scrub a couple of times a week and this one states it is gentle enough to use every day. I took this as a challenge and tried it. I used it in the shower in the mornings. The first 3 mornings went really well. My skin felt amazing and it sort of woke it up and readied it for my make up of the day. My skin is not usually sensitive but I found I could not use it on the 4th day as my skin was starting to look a bit sort of worn. A bit dry really.

I did like the results but I will only use this maybe every other day to see how that goes.
