Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover Review

Alrighty I've tried quite a few eye make up removers and basically all of them, no matter what they claim, made my eyes sting and go red and itch and all the rest of it. But not only does this product NOT sting my eyes, it also WORKS. It's so incredibly easy for me to take off my eyeshadow (including cream eyeshadows), my waterproof liquid eyeliner, my pencil eyeliner that's super hard to take off and best of all, my mascara. Why is my mascara best of all? Because, ladies, I use They're Real mascara. That's right. The only claim it doesn't fulfill is the fact that it DOES leave an oily residue behind.

Update: It is now March and the last couple of days I have used this it has stung/made my eyes itchy. I'm thinking it's probably just gone bad? I'm almost to the bottom. If you've had this kind of trouble please let me know.

This is perfect for those with sensitive skin. I use 1 cotton pad per eye and yes you have to be gentle but it really does remove all the make up without any residue. Unlike some you may use this one I didn't need to scrub to get the make up off. Love it. It does leave a light film which I actually quite like as I felt my eyes are getting moisturizers without me having to add more.

I'm a big fan of the fact that this product removes all eye makeup i.e waterproof mascara, eyeliner etc but doesn't irritate your eyes. It's SO gentle! It does require a couple of swipes to get it off (what makeup remover doesn't?!), but you don't have to rub hard at all.

The only drawback is that i find I have to use quite a bit for each use, but I mean I use it daily and it still lasts about 1-2 months so it's not really an issue, especially if you can buy it on special.

I'm glad other people have found success with this product but I gave up on it a while back. Maybe they've updated their formula since then? I bought it a few times but was never satisfied with its removal power. It makes claims that it can't keep, it would barely smudge my waterproof mascara, and gel liner? Forget about it!

Removes waterproof mascara and even stubborn so nicely and leave my face makeup free! Is definitely the best makeup remover i have ever used and have repurchased about 10 times and i don't think i will ever find another makeup remover as good as this one.

This has been my staple eye makeup remover for a couple of years now. The only time I don't buy this is when I've been irresponsible enough to run out completely when my local shop is out of stock.

I wear pretty heavy dark eye makeup daily and this does a great job at getting it all off without having to go to too much effort. That's the biggest plus for me for two reasons:

a) I'm lazy as hell and don't want to be messing around with anything too difficult or time consuming at bedtime.

b) I hate having to scrub around my delicate eye area.

It's a reasonable sized bottle that normally lasts me 1-2 months. I like the simple packaging with the screw top lid too. It makes it easy to get every last drop out of the bottle.

Another thing I like is that the dual phase formula stays mixed together for the duration of the time it takes me to cdlean both eyes. I find it infuriating with some other brands when the formula separates before you go to put some more on a cotton ball to do the other eye. Then you have to muck around putting the lid back on and shaking it up again to do the other eye.

This is my clear favourite of the supermarket brands. I will definitely carry on buying it for years to come unless someone shows me a better performer in the same price category.

I've used this in the past and recently re-purchased it as it has been very difficult to find the usual eye makeup remover I use.

I wear eyeliner and the occasional mascara and all I do is shake the bottle, dip a cotton tip into the bottle and clean off my makeup, Everything comes off without much effort at all!

This eye makeup remover is great, it contains a bi-phase formula that removes my eye makeup including waterproof mascara with ease.

Consistency - This product has a water like consistency, it is very liquidy and seems to have a oil like substance mixed within although it states it is oil free.

Application - To use this product I shake the bottle until the two layers of liquid are completely combined and then dampen a couple of cotton rounds, I typically use one cotton round per eye. I then hold the cotton round over my closed eye for a few seconds then wipe away, I do this a couple of times until no trace of makeup remains. This product works well and there is no need for any harsh rubbing or dragging on skin. This product also does not leave any residue on my skin.

Fragrance - I didn't notice much of a fragrance with this product

Coverage - Only a small amount of product is needed to remove my eye makeup.

Usage - I use this product every night and one bottle of this lasts me 8 weeks or more.

Packaging - The bottle is small and sleek so is great for travelling.

Price - This product is reasonably priced alongside other supermarket eye makeup removers and can often be found on sale.

Skin type - Skin Type- I have very fair combination, blemish prone skin. I get an oily t zone but other areas of my face often get dry.

Repurchase - I will definitely consider purchasing this again in the future.

I have tried many removers and have found they make my skin burn and itch, but not this one. It really is very gentle and removes make-up with no major rubbing, and no stinging feeling afterwards.

Great for sensitive skins and contact lens wearers.

I used this product to remove my everyday makeup but as soon as I started wiping of my eye makeup my eyes started stinging, I carried on wiping it off thinking that I got some in my eyes and that it would pass but it didn't stop stinging until I used eye drops. I would recommend this product for use just on the face and not on eye makeup.
