Tips: Use before and then after cleansing to make sure all eye make up is off
Great product, does exactly what it says it should do. Mascara and eyeliner is removed in one swipe, and you don't have to use much product for it to work. Very pleased with it :)
This my favorite make up remover. Just dab onto a cotton pad and everything is removed in a couple of swipes, even stubborn waterproof mascara and eyeliner. No tugging or rubbing required.
Tips: Make sure to shake the bottle before using.
This eye makeup remover is probably the best I've tried yet.
It does exactly what it promises and doesn't irritate my sensitive eyes!
The product size is decent and will give you many uses out of it!
I use this by getting a make-up removed pad, putting it over the opening and turning the bottle upside down. This provides the perfect amount of product to remove regular every-day eye makeup. A few swipes on each eye (I use a different pad for each eye) and it's all gone! It does feel a little greasy afterwards, but is easily removed with a regular facial wash. I haven't broken out from this, but I have found that it can sting my eyes a little if it gets inside! But that's expected.
This is the best product I have ever tried for removing eye make up as it does everything you could possibly ask for. It is easy to use, works effectively and doesn't sting your eyes with harsh chemicals.
The size is really good and as you only need a little each time, one bottle will last you ages. The price is great as well. Overall, no complaints and will keep repurchasing unless a better product comes along (although I doubt it).
Tips: Try not to use too much as it can leave residue around the eye area.
This is my ex-every-day-product (I used up about 4 bottles). Although I am no longer using it, I highly recommend it to any ladies out there who are seeking a good make up remover. Here's why I love: + it works so well on both lips and eyes + It's safe for sensitive skin + it's light and does not give an oily feeling afterwards
However, there's one thing I do not fancy: the bottle has this huge neck and I found myself constantly spilling the remover liquid which is a waste
Tips: I use a cotton piece to absorb the liquid and avoid spilling, sometimes I use a cotton buds to remove mascara.
I have short, straight lashes, and using a waterproof mascara is the only way they will hold a curl from my eyelash curlers. An effective eye makeup remover is a must! The most effective ones I've tried have all had a bi-phase formula -- the "oily" part floating on top of the watery. You shake the bottle to mix the two up and use a cotton pad to remove.
The formula of Neutrogena's remover is really effective, although I find it leaves an oily residue -- much more so than its Clarins or Lancome counterparts. Not ideal if you plan on keeping your contacts in afterwards! However, at $15 for 112mls (Clarins is $46 for 125ml; Lancome is $66 for 125ml), that's a minor quibble.
The bottle design is simple and no-nonsense; my one complaint is that the opening is quite wide. It really needs a smaller opening to avoid wastage.
I also don't like that this contains benzalkonium chloride. They've obviously used it at a low enough concentration for it to not be toxic to humans, but it is toxic to marine life. I've started using plain oils to remove eye makeup, but will keep this around as a back up.
Tips: Leave the cotton pad on your eye for around ten seconds to let the remover dissolve your eye makeup more effectively. This avoids rubbing and tugging at the skin.
This is sometimes on sale in the supermarket for around $10.
I find this make up remover to do a great job and doesn't leave my face real thick and oily like other removers.
Tips: I like to use this to clean my make up brushes with
This has been my staple eye makeup remover for a couple of years now. The only time I don't buy this is when I've been irresponsible enough to run out completely when my local shop is out of stock.
I wear pretty heavy dark eye makeup daily and this does a great job at getting it all off without having to go to too much effort. That's the biggest plus for me for two reasons:
a) I'm lazy as hell and don't want to be messing around with anything too difficult or time consuming at bedtime.
b) I hate having to scrub around my delicate eye area.
It's a reasonable sized bottle that normally lasts me 1-2 months. I like the simple packaging with the screw top lid too. It makes it easy to get every last drop out of the bottle.
Another thing I like is that the dual phase formula stays mixed together for the duration of the time it takes me to cdlean both eyes. I find it infuriating with some other brands when the formula separates before you go to put some more on a cotton ball to do the other eye. Then you have to muck around putting the lid back on and shaking it up again to do the other eye.
This is my clear favourite of the supermarket brands. I will definitely carry on buying it for years to come unless someone shows me a better performer in the same price category.
If you are a fan of waterproof Mascara, it might be worth investing in a bottle of this! It helps break down product very easily with minimal irritation. I find it leaves a slight film so is best followed with a quick rinse of water. Great for the price!
