Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover Review

This was my first ever eye makeup remover and I found it to be highly effective. I do find that I like to cleanse after it as I do find that it leaves a bit of an oily residue. It easily removes liquid eyeliner and waterproof mascara which is always a pain to get off. It doesn't hurt or dry out the skin around my eyes so its a lovely product, I have since moved on to Micellar waters as they don't leave that 'oily/ residue.

I'm not a huge fan of this makeup remover - it certainly removed my eye makeup, but it took a few goes to get it all off, and I really disliked the feel of the actual product itself - it reminded me of those hand sanitiser liquids. It had a slight smell but it wasn't that bad, and very easy to use - the top was wide enough to get a decent amount onto a cotton-wool ball. However, I felt it still left a residue around my eyes that was still there in the morning when I woke up, making it difficult to apply makeup. Overall, this product definitely does what it says it does - I just didn't find it worked for me :)

I love the results of this it gets all my waterproof make up off, however i hate the feeling it leaves on my skin!!!! it feels like its left a layer of oil on there.

I brought this a few months ago but still have a bit left as I don't tend to reach for it unless I have heavy eye make up as my cleanser tends to do the job otherwise. It's an ok product if you like separate make up removers.

Not entirely convinced that this eye makeup remover is oil free as it felt like it left a lot of oily residue on my eyes. It also made my eyes kind of itchy as I am quite sensitive around that area and my skin often reacts to products. I probably wouldn't repurchase because of my own bad experience but Its pretty affordable so I say give it a try and see how you go with it because it did remove makeup effectively.

I purchased this as its cheaper than the one i normally use. And although it does take off all my eye makeup i find i have to rub quite alot for it to remove everything. and even though its oil free, somehow it leaves my eyes feeling quiet oily..? I will use the rest of the bottle but most likely wont re-purchase just because i have another one i prefer.

I found this remover to be quite oily (even though its meant to be oil free) & took a lot of rubbing to remove my eyeliner.

I don't know about you but I am all for value for money. yes this product was gentle, did remove even waterproof mascara (did take a few goes however) but the things that annoyed me was that the liquid often gets soaked into my cotton ball. I am not sure if someone has a better tip but I felt like I was using a quarter of the bottle at a time, also the bottle opening was huge, if you aren't careful the entire bottle can tip out! Would be great if they made this formula in a wipe or a cream cleanser to perhaps me less wasteful. Overall I thought it was average, did the job but has to use a lot!

I have to say I think this is a fabulous eye makeup remover.

It makes removing waterproof mascara a breeze (which as we know can be quite stubborn to remove).

I like to leave the cotton pad on my eye for about 10 seconds before wiping the makeup away.

It is very gentle and there is no stinging which is great. But, the remover leaves an ‘oily’ residue after use even though it is meant to be oil-free …so not too sure what it is if it’s not oil?

The only downfall for me is that overtime it left my eye area very dry (skin flaking kind of dry) so unfortunately for that reason I won’t be repurchasing it.

Good price and a little goes a long way so it lasts a while.
