I was so disappointed with this product it smelled so good in the pot but I haven't noticed any difference to my skin despite using the product as directed. It felt ok when applied in the morning, although I used a very generous amount but under make up was a no go.

Tips: If you're having a day at home with no make up - use a large amount and it's ok but not great.
The packaging was good, and the pot felt substantial and good quality. On opening the cream, it smelled quite fragrant - too fragrant for me, I like beauty products to be fairly neutral and natural smelling. I put the cream on my face, it did as it said it would, it was readily absorbed. And I thought it might do the other things it said it would, such as smooth fine lines and wrinkles. However after having used it for a week, morning and night, the skin on my face actually looked like it was missing something, and was drier and slightly more lined than usual. I use Dermalogica normally, which is very natural and full of well researched ingredients. I stopped using the Nivea and went back to my Dermalogica - within a couple of days my skin looked more hydrated again. Overall, slightly disappointed in the Nivea product, but not surprised.
I was given a pot of this. I'm really happy with spf creams as I'm a sunscreen nut. The texture is thicker than a gel but it's still really light, like borderline between a lotion and cream. Once applied it sinks right into my skin and absorbs pretty quickly. I normally have combination skin but with the onset of winter my skin has gotten much drier. This moisturizer provides a bit of hydration but it still feels really light on the skin. On days when my skin is really feeling dry I have to apply another layer which is probably a good thing since you're supposed to apply plenty of spf right? The scent is the light signature Nivea scent. Now for the cons. The minute I apply this and the lovely feel of my skin getting hydrated is ruined by my eyes stinging and watering and it's not like I didn't follow the instructions and applied this to my eye area. Stinging eyes are a big con for me, especially since there are other spf moisturizers for about the same price, like my favorite Oasis spf moisturizers that I can actually apply to my eye area (even though it isn't recommended for your eye area) and they don't sting. The other con for me is that it only carries an spf of 15, which is the minimum and I prefer a higher spf. The ingredients are water, glycerin, ethylhexyl salicylate, cetearyl alcohol, dimethicone, alcohol denat, glyceryl stearate SE, butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane, methylpropanediol, octocrylene, polymethlsilsesquioxane, shea butter, cetyl alcohol, ethylhexyl stearate, sodium phenylbenzimidazole sulfonate, magnolia extract, creatine, 1-methylhydantoin-2-Imide, hylauronic acid, tapioca starch, xanthan gum, acrylates/C10-30 aclkyl acrylate crosspolymer, trisodium edta, ethylhexylglycerin, phenoxyethanol, limonene, linalool, citronellol, benzyl alcohol, geraniol, alpha-isomethyllonone and parfum. So while those it does advertise some really good active ingredients, the good stuff is really buffered with a bunch of cheaper silicones and fillers so it's unlikely to do anything much long term for me anyways. Lastly, just a personal preference, I prefer a tube or pump to a pot because it's more sanitary. So when this finishes I probably won't be repurchasing.
Tips: Don't throw out spf mosturizers if they don't work for your face -show your body some spf love.
I am always very dubious of anti aging products, and sadly this one didnt really change my mind. one of the claims on the pack is 'The rich texture softly melts into the skin and is quickly absorbed, providing an immediate sensation of comfort and care" the first time I tried it it was dense and did not melt into my skin, I used a tissue and wiped most of it back off. So the following days I used a tiny bit each day and for someone that likes really light moisturisers it was ok. Because I didnt know if I would notice a difference int he skin on my face I also tried in on only my left hand and arm and sadly I dont believe my skin looks any different on the left to the right. I did however find that my pimples have lessened a lot and for that I am truly grateful.
Tips: As a moisturiser it is a good every day reasonably priced product, but as an age improving wrinkle lessening product, it just didnt make any difference to my skin.
I was a little disappointed with this Nivea product, the first thing you notice is the familiar Nivea smell which I do find a little off putting. I didn't notice any improvements to my skin at all so wouldn't purchase it for myself in future. It did give good coverage and wasn't greasy. Nice packaging and generous amount for price.
Packaging quite nice but felt the top of the lid let the product down as it looked like a cheap plastic. DId not see any difference after using the product, have used Nivea products before the smell is still the same which I find quite pleasant but not over powering. What I did like was the product was not greasy on my skin and did not leave my face shiny and of course having an SPF added is always a good thing.
When i opened the pot, I could immediately smell the traditional Nivea product fragrance, which I happen to like. It is a rich feeling crème, and I was worried it might be too rich for my skin, but it did soak in quickly. I liked the spf15 , so that you don't need a sunscreen as well. Although I didn't notice any reduction in my wrinkles or age spots at all, or that my skin was any firmer at all either. As a moisturiser, it did a good job, not so sure about all the other claims, i'm not convinced its capable of those. I also prefer a product with a pump, so that you don't contaminate the whole lot, when you dip your fingers in to use it.
Tips: Use sparingly, it is quite rich
I was pleased to get the chance to have a go and trail this cream. For many years Nivea (in the blue tub) was a staple in my face care regime. Yep, before all the mainstream ‘posh’ stuff arrived with fancy ingredients. I used to love opening my tub and smelling that Nivea smell! Okay so let’s look at the claims first.. • Reduces fine lines and wrinkles – Not on me! • Improves skin's firmness and renewal – Not on me! I felt I went backwards here, as did my hubby • Skin is replenished with intense moisture – it was yummy when it first went on however the feeling did not last page 30 minutes. I need an all dayer • Leaves skin feeling smooth and silky – as above!
Well I worked with the cream for a full two weeks before having to reintroduce my rosehip oil. I’m not sure what is classed as ‘aging’ now haha or how old you have to be to have that ‘aging’ skin – I’m 45 with excellent skin which I out down to having been taught to use a good regime morning and night – Grandma and Mum insisted haha
I found the Nivea cream lacking for me – however I would and have already, recommend it to others who are just starting out on a good face regime – just reaching that age where they know they need to make adjustments. If used with the accompanying products I do believe it will do the trick.
Tips: Mix with a good rosehip oil for extra hydration
This day cream comes in a clear plastic jar which is quite pretty. I love the smell of nivea, brings back memories of my Mum using it, the smell is clean and pleasant. I have been using this moisturiser for a about four weeks now. It is quite creamy and you don't need to use much as a little goes a long way. It rubs in very well and your skin feels smooth and silky. However I did notice that my skin felt a little dry after about an hour or two and my make up didn't go on as smoothly. I haven't noticed a reduction in any fine lines or wrinkles or my skin being any firmer.
Tips: I think this moisturiser would suit someone with younger skin.
dont get me wrong every cream works differently on everyone, i love the packaging , i love the cream density itself but the product i was really disappointed in, i used it day and night and seen no results what so ever, major disappointment for me as i was looking forward t maybe a wee bit of change to my skin as im getting older so who wouldnt, but no sadly nothing nada,0/10 for me
Tips: no tips
