NIVEA In Shower Body Skin Conditioner For Very Dry Skin Review
NIVEA In Shower Body Skin Conditioner is a new and more convenient way to moisturise. Now you can quickly moisturise before you even get out of the shower.
Application is a breeze and works in four simple steps
1. WASH - Cleanse with shower gel as usual and rinse off
2. APPLY – Stepping back from the shower stream, apply a generous amount of NIVEA In-Shower Body Lotion. You’ll be amazed how quickly it rubs in
3. RINSE – The caring formula will immediately be absorbed by your skin and then you can rinse off
4. READY– Dry off and you can get dressed immediately!

I have tried this product a few times, it definitely leaves you feeling moisturised in the shower but for me i dont really like that slimy feeling you have afterwards like the product has not washed off properly, it leaves me feeling not as clean as i want to after a shower
Tips: this is meant for someone that loves a thick and creamy moisturizing body wash that sticks to your skin, not for somebody who likes to be squeaky clean
I am currently using is product. I usually have really dry/scaly skin on my leg especially coming in to winter. Found the product has helped with my dry skin but probably not as much as if I just applied normal moisturizer. Smells devine!
Tips: Only thing I dislike about this product is that it makes my shower floor very slippery.
This product doesn't work exactly like a moisturiser in that my skin doesn't feel 'moisturised'- but neither does it feel dry and scaly as it often does midwinter. I use this in conjunction with a quick swipe of regular moisturiser every couple of days and while I wouldn't rely on it alone it's definitely helping keep the dry winter skin at bay :)
It has a pleasant, light fragrance and lovely texture, plus it comes in a huge bottle that lasts and lasts.
When I tried this I found that it didn't absorb into my skin as well as I had hoped it would, it kind of just sat on the top of my skin. I didn't feel like it moisturized my skin as well as it claimed it would either. I found it to be quite average.
I loved using this shower moisturiser because it was so easy. one of the only things I don't like is that you have to turn the shower water off to apply it! I get a bit cold!
Tips: It took me a few goes to realise that after you have put it on and then turned the shower on, you don't then wipe it off with your hands when you have the water on you. Then it lasts longer and feels better!
So, my mom uses this and told me a while back to give it a try, and I thought to myself this is such a 'waste of time' product, but O' boy was I wrong! As soon as it started getting cold in the evenings i decided to give it a try, and i truly loved it! It's not too oily, and it makes my skin feel soft and moisturised (i normally get a itchy skin from showering in too hot water in the winter, but not since i started using Nivea in shower body conditioner) It smells very nice and what i love most is that i don't have to get out of the shower and stand in the cold while i have to warm body lotion up in my hands to apply it to myself as quick as possible before freezing to pieces :) Now i'm in a nice hot shower while applying this. It's very easy to apply and to rinse off. The ONLY downside to this is it makes the bath quite oily so it takes me a wee bit longer to clean (we have a shower over the bath tub) But not a major issue at all! It's also very gentle on my skin, so i started using it on my 16 month old son while he's in the bath. It saves time getting him dressed (don't have to apply other cream) so he doesn't have time getting irritated because 'mommy' is taking too long ;) Will definitely buy this again!
Tips: A small amount goes a long way! And when I use it on my son, I let him play in the clean water first, then I wash him, then I apply a small amount of Nivea shower body skin conditioner to him and rinse him off then take him out straight afterwards. He's skin is nice and soft!
I hate moisturising. Partly because it's time consuming and partly because of the sticky feeling. But with the skin conditioner you can do it in the shower, so saves time and there's no sticky feeling and it moisturises nicely!
I've only tried the sample of this but really liked it! Loved the lingering smell on my skin and the silky feeling. I'm really slack at moisturizing so can see the potential for this product
Tips: Don't use too much, its quite slick and goes a long way, pat yourself dry instead of rubbing, rinse shower floor before getting out
I recieved a few samples of this product, and I was excited. A moisturizer you put on IN the shower?? I thought it was too good to be true! It was killing two birds with one stone - moisturizing and staying in the warmth of the shower.
The formula is thick and it applied fine. It has the trademark 'Nivea' smell. I don't know what the smell actually is, but most Nivea things to me smell the same and its not very appealing. Applied to skin as per instructions. Was immediately disappointed. My skin felt overly greasy and like I needed to scrub myself to get it all off again. I didn't, trying to give it a fair run. I dried off, and my skin felt gross. I couldn't even dress because of how yuck I felt, so I jumped back in and washed again to get the oil off.
I think there are brands out there that can perfect this type of thing, but I won't be using Nivea again, that's for sure.
