NIVEA In Shower Body Skin Conditioner For Very Dry Skin Review

Great concept - treat your skin like you do your hair, with a shampoo and conditioner. I am guilty of skipping the body moisturiser step of my skin care routine and then suffering the scaly consequences. I was very pleased to find this in my Beauty Box.

The packaging is well thought out, a nice big squeezy bottle with the opening on the bottom, so no faffing about trying to get the product to dispense from a slippery bottle with wet hands. Once dispensed the product itself is creamy and spreads easily. The fragrance is pleasant - light and doesn't linger. I consider this a plus as I prefer body products that don't fight with my perfume! Once rinsed off, a layer of moisture is left behind that doesn't feel sticky or greasy. I was a bit concerned that the shower walls and floor would be a greasy death-trap for the next user or a nightmare to clean, but so far that has not been an issue. Also was worried that my towels might suffer from greasy build-up but that hasn't eventuated either.

I think the condition of my skin has improved overall, whether due to the formula or the fact that I remember to use it all the time I can't tell you! My only real gripe is that the product is mostly petroleum based. I wonder if anyone else would take this concept and produce a yummy plant-based alternative? Are you listening Eco-Store?

I saw the advertisements for this on the TV and of course like everyone else i was skeptical and thought "moisturising in the shower???" how on earth does that work!! So i ignored that and looked at all the tubs of gloop i had in my bathroom thinking i better use that all up first before i experience anything else. Needless to say i am now 5 months pregnant and need all the moisturiser i can get with my stretching skin and this is perfect for the shower before work where i dont have enough time to ply on the bio-oil and wait for it dry before getting dressed. Best thing ever!!! It does not have an overpowering smell which is key with my super sensitive nostrils. And keeps my skin soft until i get home for the nightly OIL ;)

I got a bottle of the white one which is for normal to dry skin in the second beauty vault. So when I ran out I decided to get the blue one. The biggest difference between the two is probably the smell I haven’t noticed a huge difference between the two. The white one smells fresher, perfect for that morning shower whereas this smells sort a tad sweet with a hint of floral, sort of reminiscent of the iconic blue tins of Nivea cream. The other one has a fresh fragrance which definitely lingers on the skin for a lot longer. This one the scent doesn’t linger much or it’s so soft and neutral that I don’t notice it that much. It does seem a bit more moisturizing than the white one. The white one when I use it and then rinse off my skin is moisturized but just a wee bit sticky when damp for a couple minutes but with this one it seems to have more oil in it and my skin is bit more moisturized. This is fantastic if you’re on the go and need to be able to get dressed immediately after get out of the shower. It does leave some residue on the shower floor though so that’s one drawback. I didn’t have any allergic reactions to this and I quite sensitive and reasonably dry skin. I although I like using a good body lotion after I shower I would probably have this handy in the shower for times when I’m in a hurry.

This is such a great concept and definitely saves time. I was a bit sceptical when I first heard about it but was given some samples and I absolutely love it. After applying, I do wait a minute or two before rinsing. This product does exactly what it advertises - my skin really does feel silky smooth after using this - even better than some usual moisturisers. I know I will appreciate it even more in the winter when you definitely don't want to stand in the cold applying moisturiser - problem solved!

I really like this product. I am very lazy and never moisturize my body out of the shower but I am happy to do it in the shower so it's the perfect product for me. I feel like it does make my skin softer and I don't use as much as I would with a normal moisturize. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because I don't like the smell. I got the white one and it reminds me of a toilet spray smell. Next time I will buy the blue bottle.

I really like this stuff! It smells lovely and comes in a generous size bottle. It has a nice thick consistency and a little goes a long way. It only takes a few minutes to put on and wash off. Left my skin feeling like it was moisturized nicely and I received lovely comments from my daughter saying I smelt nice hehe. Very handy product to use if your busy and want to moisturize but just don't have the time. Would buy this product again simply for the convenience.

When this first came out, I knew I had to try it! I have really dry skin on my body, particularly my legs, so am always on the look out for products that could help with that. I loved how this feels going on in the shower, feels so smooth and soft. However, I found it also didnt really last. By the time I was out of the shower (very careful to not rub my legs with the towel), there wasnt much difference, and I still felt the need to apply regular moisturiser as well. I would still use it, I think it makes a good base and helps with other moisturisers, but I wouldnt rely on it on its own.

I received this as a sample and i used it for the first time and my skin was so smooth and silky when i got out of the shower. My skin was left moisturised all day and smelt great.

Nivea for me is a brand I do like, but I've had some hit and misses with Nivea products. Some really lovely products and some rather disappointing ones. Who doesn't know the ionic blue and white Nivea packaging..it's been around for so long and its a trusted brand by many.

I had already tried and enjoyed the normal/dry skin option, and been impressed, so I was looking forward to this. My skin can be very dry in winter, so a perfect product for me.

The first thought that I got when I looked at the packaging, was wow its big and will last a while! The packaging is sleek and stylish, distinctive of the Nivea brand.

The formula is quite a thick consistency, and it is is easy to smooth over your skin in the shower. It's gentle and good for my dry skin. Before getting our of the shower I rinse it off. I'm a fan of the subtle refreshing scent of the lotion as well.

My very dry skin just drinks this formula up. My skin feels super silky and smooth after i use this, a definite plus!

With two little ones I'm all about saving time when i can, so being a moisturiser in the shower I think its a perfect idea, as I sometimes forget and lack the time to moisturise my body. Thanks to Nivea for this ingenious idea!

Will definitely be repurchasing this little gem, as my fiancé also loves this. Also, it's such great value for the large amount you get, and lasts us for quite a while.

I found this product fab, quick and easy. I often forget to moisturise when getting ready - mostly as im rushing to head out the door. This great idea has been a godsend on those particular days. It smells nice, feels soft & silky and easy to use. takes 2 minutes. You dont need a huge amount so the bottle can last a long time, and great for the men too, as its not a girly looking product. Try it, your skin will love you (plus it gives you more time to get ready)
