Unfortunately this is not a product I would buy again or recommend to anyone else, if it's not a pre-teen with very light coloured lips.
Usually I really like Nivea lip balms whether they are tinted or not. But this was a total disaster on me. I have somewhat dark pinkish/peachy lips with burgundy/ brownish color pigmented areas on my entire upper lip and around the bottom lip. You can see a photo of my lips colour in here. Left side picture is of my bare lips and the right side one is after moisturized with a regular lip balm. https://scontent-a-sjc.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn2/t1.0-9/205519_10150129380073221_2044487_n.jpg
Normally I'm not a person who go for this sort of colour even in my dreams. So are you wondering how I got to use this? Well...I received this as a gift from a friend with bunch of other cosmetics.
All in all this is a very light coloured lip balm with plenty of shimmer to light up a disco. It sure gives the shine they advertise about. And that's where it stops with what it does, that they said it would do. This doesn't moisturize enough and doesn't last long.
So in the end I ended up using this in the comfort of my home where no one else can see me sporting a scary looking ultra shimmer lips. Thankfully it didn't last long since I had to apply and reapply constantly to keep my lips moisturized.
Tips: My lip type : Dry Lip pigmentation level : Heavy
This is not a lip balm for very dry and pigmented lips girlies. If you have them stay far far away from this.
I didnt really like this one was but too fake looking on my lips like sticky gloss but was nice smell Could upgrade on the package as is super old looking Wouldn't really buy again only if was given to me for free lol
I think this is a product everyone just grabs at the supermarket or there family buys for them. I have to say it is very pearly and washes out my lips with a white pink colour and having naturally quite pinky red lips looks a bit trampy. It does make your lips smooth and I guess "protect" against dryness but it will not heal dryness. For the price and how easy it is to get I guess I would use it and recommend if you were out camping or somewhere travelling and wanted to grab something quickly.
Tips: Use sparingly
This balm leaves a very pretty sheen on your lips, but seems to work more as a gloss than a good lip moisturizer. I prefer invisible lip balms to this, it just doesnt feel like its getting the job done.
Tips: A nice cheap gloss colour
I am a fan of Nivea products, but was disappointed with this lip gloss, actually I shouldn't call it a lip gloss because it wasn't that shiny, more of a lip balm. The pink tube was cute, and the price very cheap, especially on special from the supermarket. I applied to cleansed lips and found it was slightly moisturising with a subtle hint of pearly-pink colour, but not as hydrating as I would have liked. After about half-an hour my lips started to get a bit dry, so it was not very long-lasting. Also no SPF which we need in our hot sun! I will use the rest of the tube up as I don't like wasting stuff, but wouldn't recommend if you want a really hydrating, shiny moisturising balm.
Tips: If you want more colour apply two or three layers.
I got mine as a gift but after using it I wouldn't actually spend money on purchasing one. It is an average lip product in my opinion. To me it's not very moisturising and the colour of it I didn't find very flattering.
This lip balm leaves your lips quite light pink and pearly and makes me look dull. I prefer lip balms with no colour. Aside from that its a good moisturising lip balm if you're after a bit of colour.
After years of using Nivea Lip Balm, this has to be by far the worst one yet. Dont get me wrong, it smells amazing! However, whenever I applied it, It felt as if my lips were being dried out, not "caring" for them at all, espically if ones lips were already dry, this lip balm makes those small imperfections stand out immediatly! The pearly shine also does not look appealing
After seeing this at my local supermarket for quite awhile I decided to try out the pearl and shine, I usually use the dark blue Nivea lip balm so I find this is a brand I trust. However this product is just not for me, I found the balm to be quite waxy, and the frosty finish only accentuated any cracks or fine lines in my lips. It made my lips appear quite pale (I'm already fairly pale as it is) making my overall appearance quite washed out. Overall I wouldn't use this product to hydrate the lips at all, it's more similar to a frosted sheen lipstick. Unfortunately won't be using this product again!
Tips: If you prefer the frosted finish I would recommend this product for you.
