Firstly, I love that Nivea are starting to bring out more natural products. I'm a big fan of anything natural or organic, so I was really excited to try this out. However, it just really didn't work for me. It felt velvety and nice to put on, but overall it was just too thick and heavy for my skin and caused me to break out and get oily during the day. It would probably be fantastic for someone with really dry skin, though - I ended up using it as a night cream on any dry areas of my skin and it worked like a charm. It's just a bit too heavy for a day cream unless you really need the moisture. Smelled lovely, as most Nivea products do, and I liked the packaging and little glass container it came in. Overall, I liked it a lot but it really just didn't do great things for my skin when used as directed.

Tips: A little goes a long way - and it's even more effective when used as a night cream.
Nivea Pure & Natural Moisturising Day Cream is a beautiful product with great ingredients. It has a light natural fragrance. Love the glass jar giving the product a more premium feel. I have dry to combination skin, so was really excited that this product was designed for that - usually the combination skin products are linked with oily skin. When I actually tried the product though, it felt like a night cream - thick, creamy and quite heavy on the face. I was initially concerned that it wouldn't soak in, and I wouldn't be able to apply foundation. This wasn't the case at all - the product absorbed nicely into the skin (although need to leave a little longer before applying foundation than usual). Overall, a lovely refreshing product that I would recommend for anyone with dry skin.
Tips: After applying cream, wait much longer before applying foundation.
There are 2 things that I look for in any product; 1. Is the product tested on animals 2. Does this have active ingredients or vitamins.
1. I could not determine either way if Nivea is tested on animals. Their parent company Beirsdorf says it does not test which is excellent but I could not confirm this through PETA
2. Yes it has vitamin E
To be fair I use Dermalogica exclusively at home so it takes a lot to impress me! I did like this product and if I could confirm it is cruelty free I would consider buying as part of my travel kit.
The moisturizer smells beautiful, it's a very soft smell but it's beautiful and the perfume did not irritate my skin which can be easily irritated. I actually found myself looking forward to using the cream.
The product itself is rich and creamy, it has a nice texture and after a few mins goes completly matt which makes it great for using under makeup.
I found the cream hydrating and it did keep my skin supple which helped with fine lines.
Tips: Use on the backs of your hands and then apply SPF. Use as a makeup base, allow 15 mins to dry.
I loved this moistureriser, and will continue to use my review copy. I will more than likely purchase as well, although I would keep an eye out for one with SPF in it. The cream left my skin hydrated all day, but was not greasy at all. It was the perfect balance of not too light and not too greasy. For my skin, it was just lovely.
A hint of fragrance is noticeable although the package says other wise. A good moisturiser but when i use it before applying foundation it makes my face really shiny. I use this all the time but not before applying foundation. It makes my face really soft and fresh. I feel that the product penetrates into my skin which is really surprising as other nivea day cream does not. I would definitely repurchase this
I do have sensative skin, but it made my skin oily. Also there were some little break outs about to happen so i stopped using it. It did smell yummy. But to be honest I use expensive cream on my face. But I was happy to try something else as my skin stuff is expensive.
Tips: no tips.
I loved the velvet texture of the cream on your finger tips. Smoothed nicely onto the face and neck and the smell is devine. Fresh, clean, cucumber fragrance. Went fantastically under makeup and did not cause it to run. Works well with a primer.
Tips: Will need an SPF overtop, either in your makeup or a primer.
I was looking forward to trialing this cream, since I have acne scarring and discolouration. I believed that with its wonderful combination of ingredients it may benefit my skin. However I was sadly disappointed for even though it gave wonderful hydration it also caused my skin to breakout. I would however recommend to someone who has dry skin and not prone to brreakouts.
This cream has a lovely texture and scent. However it is too heavy for me. I have combination skin. It left my skin feeling a little bit sticky and oily. I am also hesitant to use a day cream without SPF.
Tips: I think this cream would better suit someone with dry skin.
This is a lovely lil moisturizer which makes my skin feel really hydrated and it has a cooling effect which I love! Smells amazing too. Works great as a base before applying foundation too :)
