Swirly and pearly

I got this product in the Top Rated BBBE and I was very happy to have the chance to try it.

It comes in a cute yellow and white box - I love yellow so that's a tick. It comes with two layers of cardboard though, a box and a sleeve. That's no tick - I'm not keen on wasting resources and the extra cardboard didn't seem necessary to me.

Inside is a cute bottle with a pump top. You pump the top and it squashes the pearls. Out pops a bright yellow squidge. You don't need to use much. I rub it sparingly into my face and neck before moisturising, morning and night.

Now I have to confess, I was lucky enough to try a Rolls Royce brand of serum similar to this that I was very fortunate to get from a previous vault. It was going to be very very difficult for any other product of the same type to meet that standard. So did it?

Well, the product claim is "pure anti wrinkle power for a refined and younger looking complexion". Hmmn. I have to say, it feels lovely gliding into my skin and I would say my skin does feel plumper, tighter and more refined. As to whether I look younger? I can only hope! But my skin feels good and feels like it looks as good as it can for my age. So yes it does.

The scent? subtle and perfumey and I love it. I do also love the colour, weird as it sounds. All this for an excellent price.

So, I have to agree with my esteemed fellow beauties, this product deserves it's top rating. I highly recommend it.

Tips: Apply to clean skin and moisturise afterwards, both morning and night.

love love love

Have to say when I received this product in my beauty box I wasn't too excited about it. Then when I first squirted some out of the bottle and it looked like egg yolk I was all that inspired to use it so it sat amongst my products getting occasional use for a few weeks.

So wish I'd started using it sooner!!! I use this religiously every morning and have been doing so favor at least three weeks and I have so seen a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles seem not so pronounced. It also leaves my skin feeling so lovely and soft. Love this product and with my bottle being almost empty will definitely be grabbing anther very soon.

Totally underwhelmed

I feel like the only person who didn't see a result and/or love this product.

First off I hated the fact it came in 2 packages - such a waste of cardboard. BUT I loved the way the product looked - I couldn't wait to try the little yellow beads and see a difference. So easy to use, just pump out what you need (I needed 2 squirts for my face and neck) and rub it all in. At first it looks like congealed egg yolk and there's no way that will absorb into your skin but it does - so easily too.

The smell isn't overbearing but it's way too perfumy for my liking, but not enough to say it irritated my skin or anything. Downside was, I feel like there's absolutely no difference to my skin after using the entire bottle. I guess the best I can say about it was that my skin felt a little softer after using it. I wouldn't repurchase sorry :(

I don't think I'm the target audience for this

I very luckily won this off beauty reviews Facebook page as a spot prize. I loved that I won this but I know I would have bought one myself anyway as I'd been seeing it advertised and it looked like a really cool product.

This comes in one of those airless pumps. That means your product will stay fresher for longer and you don't get any bacteria from your hand in it. Plus it's quite neat to slowly see the product getting used up as the bottle is see through. You get 40mls in this which doesn't sound like a lot but I've been using this for around 2 months and I still have product left.

Now this product is called serum pearls and you can see the little yellow beads through the packaging. When you pump this out, you get a bright yellow sort of separated looking lotion. I use to my fingers to rub it together and then apply all over my face. I use one whole pump plus a tiny bit more. This does my whole face, neck and a bit onto my chest. This has a very strong perfumed scent. I'm used to it now but I wish it was unfragranced as I don't really like using perfumed products on my face. This sinks into my skin very quickly without being greasy. It gives a little hydration too.

I really haven't noticed any difference in my skin though. I don't think it's because of the product, I just don't think I have enough wrinkles to notice an improvement. I'm 30 and only really have slight eye lines when I smile. I'd try this out again in maybe 5 years though to see if it would help me out then.

Great must-have for me.

This product has become a firm favourite of mine and absolutely suits my skin type.

Its comes in a self dispensing 40ml push pottle, I have a love hate relationship with self dispensing pottles, often it dispenses too much but on the other hand is hygienic. I only half push for the perfect amount essentially having the product last twice as long.

Little yellow pearls are very small and melt into skin quickly however take care to smooth a little longer than usual (this could be why it feels so nice once absorbed too).

I used it last year and found my pesky wrinkles in-between eye brows & cheeks reduced by 80%, I was so very satisfied. Funny how once you’ve got something you take it for granted. 4 months later I have purchased again as it didn’t take long for those pesky wrinkles to reappear & bother me more and more again. It was getting annoying trying to deal with them too when applying foundation.

These pearls have helped to even out my skin and reduce the fine lines only after 5 days & expect to see then deminish more over the next few weeks.

Claims that it reduces deep wrinkles, provides instant moisterization and refines complexion. I wouldn’t say it provides moisterzation like when you apply a thick moisterizer but skin feels moisterized after applying, like my skin doesn’t feel thirsty but feels dry (hope this is explained adequately). Not at all drying & had no issues with breakouts etc.... Other claims are pretty much spot on HOWEVER don’t expect to be singing off the roof tops, it is in my opinion a good all round product when used with other products.

I have found there is no coverage for foundation so using with a good moisturizer &/or serum is still needed.

I use morning and night after cleansing & toning but before moisturizing etc...

It comes with the classic Nivea Q10 fragrance and fits into the Q10 family of products well.

Price at $29.99 is a little pricey however Nivea is available at Countdown and The Warehouse with them often having great 2 for 1 deals or good discounts. I don’t want to be without this product now and it can easily fit into my budget (I can’t pay for anything full price when I know it will certainly be on special at some stage), two have been brought over the weekend & one will always be spare (just incase  )....love love my “just just in case” stash.

Tips: Push self dispenser half way to use less product.

Glowing but not over the moon

There was a lot of buzz on social media when this was released, anything to do with anti-aging and they've got my attention (and money). It was a wonderful surprise to get this is the Top rated Best beauty box ever, one of the products that wasn't mentioned as it was a secret surprise and one of the first products I opened from that beauty box.

The packaging looks great and one I hadn't used before, the air pump dispenses the yellow pearls and as soon as they reach my skin they absorb so easily. The first few times of using this I applied too much, which made the cream hard to rub in, all the parts that couldn't absorb into my skin just hardened above the surface looking like bits of dried skin. 2-3 pumps are more than enough to apply to my face and neck.

I like how the little pearls melt into my skin, they give my skin a natural glow and hydrates under my eyes within seconds of applying. I am also impressed with how long the small bottle lasted me, for a small bottle and using it everyday it lasted 3 months.

Overall I didn't see much improvement on the wrinkly side of things. I have a lot of fine lines under my eyes, smaller ones on my forehead and smile lines, all of these didn't lessen over time or change unless I had freshly moisturized my face with this product.

I was happy with how well it made my skin look and feel but wasn't happy with the wrinkle side of things. I wouldn't purchase this in the future.

Unimpressive

I decided to give this serum a go as I'd seen lots of advertising for it when it came out, it looks interesting and sounds like the perfect anti aging product.

Unfortunately I wasn't impressed with this one. I don't like the thick gluggy texture, and feel as if it's more so sitting on the surface rather than soaking in. I noticed dry bits of the product in places at times..

It feels ok on my skin however, reasonably soothing, but I didn't notice any difference in lines, not that I have many..

This product just didn't do much for me, and for that reason would not repurchase.

Replenishing Pearls by Nivea

I find that I get good results when I smother my face in this then add a moisturizer once it has absorbed. It has a scrambled egg texture as the pearls are squished into the serum. It does help hydrate your skin but as far as claiming to reduce wrinkles the jury is out on this one. I have yet to see any change.

Tips: Put plenty on then moisturize for extra hydration.

Shrugs shoulders

Nivea's Q10 Replenishing Pearls is a freaky looking little product which transforms from pearls to a silky serum when dispersed through the pump. Technically I don't have any issues with this product, and I was really only looking for something new to try out that might have some form of impact on my fine lines. It smells great and feels lovely - I do find it a little sticky initially, but once it's soaked in my skin feels like I've given it a healthy dose of moisture with no residue which is a bonus for me. My skin is a weird combination of super oily yet sensitive, so finding a good product can be tricky, and I usually lean toward the whole "less is more" approach. At the same time though, I absolutely adore the process of doing things that make me feel good, so I also like to branch out and try new products on a fairly regular basis (its a healthy addicition, I swear!). One thing I can say I have noticed is that my pimple scars have faded alot quicker than what they generally would - new ones that is, older scars are yet to see any improvement.

Overall I don't really find anything particularly mind-blowing about this skin treatment, but in saying that I'm not upset with having spent money on it.

Tips: Massage into cleansed skin and allow at least 5minutes for it to soak in before using any other form of moisturiser. If you have sensitive skin like me and find that trying new products can be scary (and stinging), I would recommend doing a patch test
