NIVEA Q10 Power Replenishing Pearls Review

I was lucky enough to be offered the opportunity to try this product and I have used it every morning and night for two weeks. The packaging is very appealing, showing the pearls through the clear plastic pump container, although I would have preferred to see the product in a glass bottle as I feel plastic doesn’t “feel” as hygienic. I was almost put off by my initial first pump of the product. It came out with an almost “cottage cheese” appearance. Not what I was expecting, however, I tried it on the back of my hand and was pleasantly surprised. It blended into my skin softly like silk and left my hand feeling very soft so I was excited to try it on my face. Because I was given this product as a trial, I used it very generously. I used one pump to do my whole face, one pump to cover my neck and a third pump to rub into my chest area. The product goes a long way and absorbs into my combination skin type quickly leaving it soft and not at all feeling dry or tight. My first thought was that it was lightly scented but I quickly got very used to that and don’t notice it any more. If I was to purchase this product for $30, I probably wouldn’t apply it to my chest area but even by doing that twice a day, I have only used about half the product in the bottle. When I ran my hand over my skin, it felt soft and nourished but when I lightly press my skin, it felt slightly ‘sticky’ and I was concerned that it would not blend well with my foundation. But I had no problem applying make-up over the top. As I don’t have too many wrinkles, I can’t comment on any results the product had in that respect, however, I have definitely noticed that my skin looks clearer and has a more fresh appearance about it. Is it my imagination, or have my finger nails got longer and a bit stronger too over the past couple of weeks!? I would definitely purchase this product, however I would use it a bit more sparingly and try to make one pump go a bit further.

40mls size bottle, loved the look of this product, the pearls are really different, pump action bottle, comes out easily, only need to use one pump as it goes on the face smoothly, i did notice the fine lines around my eyes were reduced and my skin felt smoother, didn't notice any difference with the deeper wrinkles, only thing i did not like was the fragrance, didn't smell that nice!

The packaging of this product is very appealing. The box is sunshine yellow, and has an image of the product in actual size on the side. A great feature. The dispenser itself continues the visual appeal. I liked the clear side so I could see how much of the product remained, and the yellow "pearls" looked good.

There were limited application instructions on the packaging - press dispenser nozzle, and apply to cleansed skin were the sum of the instructions. There was no indication how much of the product to use. I.e. One pump for whole face etc.

On dispensing the product was an unfortunate shade of yellow familiar to milk fed babies. The product appeared smooth on the finger tips but when applied there were distinguishable "skins" from the pearls, and while these did eventually rub into the skin it seemed counter-intuitive to be applying an anti-wrinkle cream with that much pressure. The product is scented and when applied without a following day/night cream this scent was noticeable.

So, did it give me younger looking skin? Well, yes and no. I did not notice much difference to the wrinkles, but it did make my skin resemble that of a teenager... I.e. Prone to breakouts. Too rich a formula for me.

This is a lovely product. Small pearls of coenzyme Q10 burst as they are squeezed through the pump bottle and mix with a moisturising gel to form a serum. The resulting serum has a smooth texture and glides on easily. There is no greasiness and the product was easily absorbed. My skin felt immediately softer and smoother even dry areas felt more moisturised. I have had no adverse reactions to the serum and there has been a noticeable improvement in brightness. The skin on my neck has improved too becoming more hydrated and less crepy. To summarise my skin feels noticeably softer and smoother but it is too soon to comment on the reduction of wrinkles and signs of ageing. It is great to find an effective product with a good price point.

Received my trial. Checked out the packaging and was impressed. Outside of box shows products actual size so I would not be disillusioned as a consumer when opening. Opened it up and the bottle is see through so I could see the golden pearls. Gave it a full pump and put on my cleansed face. First reaction was this is like curdled custard in consistency. One pump is enough as the bottle stated to cover entire face. Does take a bit of gentle rubbing into the skin. I wait about 2 minutes to let it totally absorb before applying moisturizer. I loved the very faint scent. My skin felt nice and soft as the box states. When applying makeup it seemed to glide on smoother than before. I have used this now for a full week morning and night after cleansing. Have I noticed reduction in wrinkles? Unsure. I will continue to use it and monitor the results further. I do honestly believe it gives a better base when applying makeup and my skin does feel softer.

I love this product ! I don't usually use a serum, due mainly to cost, however I will definitely be purchasing this one. It is silky and makes my skin feel hydrated immediately, I actually cant wait to put it on, morning and night. My skin looked less dehydrated and felt elastic. I will be repurchasing before this runs out, think I'm addicted.

Definitely feels lovely on your skin and smells divine. It does make my skin feel quite soft and smooth. Not sure if it has held off any future wrinkles just yet...time will tell! I have been using this for only a week, morning and night. Very nice to use but in some ways just an added step in the nightly face cleansing/moisturising routine. I will keep using it and hopefully given longer will see some results.

I admit I was a bit skeptical about these 'pearls', and envisaged gritty bits being rubbed over my skin. I was wrong, while the pearls are not completely squished to resemble 'normal' lotion, they disperse and absorb easily, with no grittiness or residue.

I found four pumps of the lotion was enough to do my face, neck and cleavage (hate those cleavage wrinkles starting!) easily.

After two days I noticed my skin was softer, and after five days noticed the laughter lines around my eyes had improved. My husband even remarked that my skin 'had a bit of a glow' about it - he's your typical male with no interest in my skincare or makeup regime, so for him to notice it made me think this product was doing what it claimed and it wasn't just my wishful thinking while looking in the mirror!

If there's one downside it's the smell, which is oddly strong and reminded me of the face creams my nana used to keep that were well past their use-by date.

Overall I'm very happy with the results of this product, have already recommended it to friends and will definitely be purchasing it when my trial bottle runs out.
