I was rather disappointed with Nivea Stress Protect Deodorant Aerosol. It didn't do what it was supposed to at all for me sadly. I would consider myself quite a sweaty person lol and it has been really hot lately so it got a good testing. However it didn't stop (or even reduce) my sweating, stress or otherwise. I found it actually made my body odour worse. Its scent seemed to mix with the smell of the sweat and make it stronger smelling. (This is kind of becoming a gross review haha.) Even when I had first applied it I found the scent overpowering and unappealing. It just made me cough and I would have to leave the bathroom. I will definitely be sticking with my Dove Original roll on deodorant. I have found that to work the best for me so far!

Tips: Spray in a well ventilated room - windows open!
I had seen the ads for this deodorant on TV and was intrigued by the idea behind this. I traditionally use roll on antiperspirants, but was very interested in giving this a try, especially if it did what it claimed to. While using it, I found it to be very effective on days with a moderate temperature or where I wasn't especially active. On warmer days, or days when I was more active (or stressed!), it was much less effective - it was not as active as what I have been using. I found the fragrance to be pleasant, but it is quite strong so it is worth testing first to see if it appeals to you. If you prefer a fragrance-free product, this may not be for you :)
I have used roll-on deodorant for 18 years, so I was a bit skeptical about using a spray. But it did exactly what it said it would do. I used it with no worries at a wine & food festival, and at a stressful day at work - and it worked perfectly.
It has a nice smell, leaves no stains/white marks, and doesn't sting after shaving.
Didn't test the 48 hour claim (as I shower every day), but definitely lasted 24 hours.
Tips: Wait a few minutes before putting on clothes
I normally use roll on and found the spray took a bit to get used to. I like the smell of this deodorant but don't love it. I tested it over a few really hot days while working outside in a demanding job and found I could still smell it by the end of the day and it seemed to work well with sweat reduction. It didn't sting with application either. I would buy this product as an alternative to roll on.
- reduces sweating - has a very nice scent & lasts for a very long time - helps you stay fresh under your underarms
It's quite weird to me to do a review of deodorant. I normally use a Nivea roll-on, have done for many moons and quite happily and so it's been a while since I've had to wonder if it's working.
Being conscientious, I decided it necessitated random pit-checks.
Always known for my class, me.
And I can truly attest that whilst the rest of me was in a truly sweaty mess thanks to the humidity, my pits were...I'm unsure what scent it was, but what it was not was ick.
And that's about as detailed as I want to get.
Unfortunately as with most deodorants the "48 hour effective anti-perspirant" promise doesn't really come through - though it smells pleasant so that's a good start. It does alright for general day wear but I'm not quite sure if it stands up to a busy work day. This morning I biked to work, walked up and down at least 10 flights of stairs and walked a good few km's around the hospital I work in. It lasted alright but I'd stress this is more of a generic everyday deodorant than a heavy duty antiperspirant.
Tips: If you're looking to keep dry and free of wet patches on a long hot day then this might not be the best. However for everyday wear its perfectly fine.
The Good. Great packaging, and the sample size I got is great for chucking into your handbag if you want to carry it around, maybe for stressful situations like an unexpected work meeting or something? Smells really nice and fresh. I wore it on a Monday to work, frantic day and still felt 'shower fresh' in the afternoon (but that's not different to my current antiperspirant). The bad. Wowee, its like spraying a fire extinguisher into your armpits, there is a lot of pressure there. Although I am a fan of the scent, it is overpowering when sprayed on in a small room such as a bathroom. I felt like all the air had been sucked out of the room and replaced with deodorant! The ugly. It definitely didn't deliver on the 48 hour part. I don't know if this is designed just for stress and so other activities that involve sweating (ie. going to the gym) are not its main focus?? I found that after a day at work and then a gym session, there was no sign of the antiperspirant at all. I gave it another chance though and didn't hit the gym this time. However, still wouldn't rely on it for 48 hour protection! Maybe the roll on would be more effective?
Tips: I would definitely consider using the roll on version of this. If you have the spray, use in a well ventilated area (open the bathroom window, but don't give the neighbours a 'show' ha ha)
Definitely worked well protecting against sweat. I even skipped my daily shower to see how well it did over a 48 hour period as I was dubious, but I could still notice it working. It does have a very overpowering fragrance, especially for the first few hours which meant I couldn't smell my perfume I had put on first, but it wasnt unpleasant. Just a bit strong.
Tips: Good for daily use, work etc but if you are going out and want your perfume to be the star, use something less dominating scent-wise.
I am usually a roll on fan as far as deodorant goes as I find it lasts longer than aerosol deodorant. However this time I was wrong the Nivea Stress Protect deodorant is long lasting, smells nice and doesn't sting when I applied it to my underarms (even after shaving - which is a miracle). The smaller deodorant (sample size) would be handy for my handbag or the glove box in my car. The fact that I had been out for a walk pushing a stroller then came home vacuumed and cleaned the bathroom and still smelt good sold it for me. I would definitely buy this product.
Tips: Did leave a slight mark on my black top but it wouldn't put me off using it. Just apply in time for it to dry before putting your top on :)
