This product works well to improve your skin, but is not an overly effective concealer. Oasis BB Cream has a lovely smooth consistency and is easy to apply to your skin. It requires only a small amount to be appplied, and thus should last you a long time. It has worked well at improving my skin, although I experienced a minor break out as my skin adjusted to the product. My only criticism is that because it is so light and smooth, it does not work as an overly effective concealer on the redder more acne-prone areas of my face. I am not sure I completely understand how to use BB cream, so this problem may be down to my inexperience rather than the effectiveness of the product - some tips of how to apply BB cream would be useful!

The first thing I noticed about this BB cream is that it has a slightly odd smell, similar to playdoh. It's pretty faint so once I got past that and applied it I found it went on smoothly and absorbed into my skin quite quickly. It has a sheer coverage, even though it looks quite dark it blends into your skin well and enhances your natural complexion without covering it up too much. This would be an ideal product if your skin was already clear, and you just wanted a natural product to give you a more airbrushed finish. I wouldn't recommend it if you have problems wit breakouts or uneven skintone as it doesn't cover as well as other BB creams. I also found it can have a slightly sticky feel until it sets, or you put finishing powder on. Overall I love the look of the cream, but my skin isn't good enough to flaunt with this product alone.
Tips: Apply with a brush or sponge - Oasis have great tips on their website for getting the perfect application.
I was quite scared of BB creams - I was about to throw in the towel. I tried another one (reviewing after this) and I ended up with big lines all over my face when the BB cream dried (EEEEK). But I thought that I better give BB cream the benefit of the doubt - so here we are.
My experience with this BB cream was DRASTICALLY better. It went on just like a moisturiser with a little bit of oomph.
I use the Bardot and it was the perfect colour for me. I use it everyday that I don't want the full coverage of foundation or to do anything particularly exciting with my makeup (You really can't use it underneath anything extravagant Haha).
I love that it feels really light and "no makeup-y" because I feel as though I'm letting my skin breath while not looking like the ghost I usually am.
The only thing is - I'm not too sure what the difference is between this and a tinted moisturiser. From reading the other reviews, it looks as though the darker colours pack a bigger punch in terms of feel but I'm happy to use it day to day regardless!
PS - The packaging is simple and gorgeous - like the rest of the Oasis products - and definitely my style.
Recently I tried out the Medium (formally the Munroe) Bb cream.
It was easy to apply & I found I got the best coverage when I dabbed on with my fingers and the blended with a beauty blender, although I image a good foundation brush would also be effective. Coverage was good and the tone was easy to match my skin. I have oily/combination skin, and normally use a mineral foundation, this gave more coverage, however I also felt quite oily half way through the day. (I always use primer too). It was improved with a finishing powder, but not eradicated. I would use this when heading out at night.
I picked up one of the little sample sets from the Oasis website, and with it I got two of the different BB creams, one in Bardot and one in Monroe. Before starting on the products themselves, I just want to say that I already wanted to love them just by their names alone, unfortunately for me, I cannot wear these BB creams.
For starters, the two shades that I received are both really pink based, and are also really dark compared to my skintone (NARS Siberia). I would estimate the shade Bardot to be close to MAC NW20 and Monroe perhaps NW25-30. However, the consistency and the finish of these BB creams are gorgeous. They have a matte/demi-matte finish, but are not drying at all on the skin.
All and all, I do really love these BB creams, but I think that the shade selection needs to be a lot larger before I will be able to use these products on myself.
Tips: You can pick up samples of the BB creams and their other product lines on their website!
Tried samples from website, the Monroe has good coverage for a BB cream, matte finish, no good for mature skin, tends to sink into any lines & wrinkles after a while, the other one I tried was the Bardot, lighter coverage & dewey finish, good for young & mature skin types, but if you want more coverage, use a concealer as well. Bit pricey but would last for ages as you only need to use a small amount.
when you first put it on your hand it looked way to dark for pale old me but it mixes really well with other make up and your skin to create a good covered look and doesnt highlight your pores as much as other BB creams do. It also was more matte which meant I wasnt as shiny as normal which was a nice surprise. It had a slightly odd smell as it was not scented but it was not off putting. I would say though that you do have to use quiet a bit to get full coverage as it is quiet thick and does need the help of other make up products. All in all i would say that yes it is a good product and does its job very well but is quiet expensive for the amount you have to use but its nice to treat yourself.
I Love Oasis beauty, their free samples policy, their values, and most if their products. I was so excited when they came out with a BB cream but unfortunately I didn't like this. I found the texture very sticky when applied and quite powdery - I almost had to drag it across my skin to work it in as it dried out so fast. I didn't find the shades particularly blendable (I tried Bardot and Monroe) and it tended to 'melt' off my face after a few hours of wear. I will not be using this again but they are an awesome company who I will continue to support.
Tips: Try mixing different shades to match to your skin.
Previously a Mabelline supermarket bb cream obsessive I really wanted to try something natural and less mass produced but it is hard to try something new that is a daily staple. First tried a sample of this product and then purchased a full sized product. This is now a daily use product - after 3 weeks though I not sure I 100% love the matt finish? Makes me look a little pale and seems to have a drier finish, not ideal for under a powder. Foundation. But it is great just on its own. Might try this in another colour or type. I do absolutely love the natural ingredients and to support locally made products .
Tips: Definitely try before you buy. Use with the blending sponge.
This is a nice foundation to use especially knowing that it contains more natural ingredients. It gives a nice coverage but more medium than full so if you have areas that need a touch up you will need your concealer. The finish is satin, not matte and not quite dewy. I used the Monroe for light/medium skin tones. Using a stippling brush or a large fine hand type brush gives a good finish. This would be a great way to go if you have sensitive skin or want to take a more natural approach to make-up.
Tips: A good all-rounder!
