Oasis Beauty Sun SPF 30+ Review

I was lucky enough to be picked to trial this product and was buzzing about four factors. 1. Cruelty free! What's better than that?! 2. Can be used on the whole family, I have a family to protect against the sun including a 1 year old, glad this was safe to use on her 3. New Zealand made, I'm all for New Zealand made products! And 4. Made for sensitive skin, I have very sensitive skin., eczema, dry skin etc

The packaging is sturdy but a little bulky, however I did notice this product comes in all sizes from 50ml to 500ml maybe have the bigger tube for at home and a smaller one for in the bag to take places with you? :)

I used this product on my partner, myself, my 7 year old and my 1 year old and we didn't get burnt at all so it definitely protects you from the sun. None of us had any reaction to the product either which I was super happy with as I have sensitive skin, so a big tick for that!

I also loved how thick it was, and how easy it was to rub in, unlike a few others we have tried which have been runny and greasy. Oh and it smells lovely, It's most certainly not an over powering smell. There are other sunscreens you can get and can still smell on yourself after it has throughly been rubbed in, this product is not like that.

I will continue using this product as our family protection against the sun, we as a family are rather happy with it! I have already recommended it to a group of my mummy friends!

I did something I have never done before (as an adult) with this product. Something I never dreamed could be done. I put sunscreen on my...gasp...face. Yes the same sunscreen I applied to my body. And it was gooooood.

Prior to this I wouldn't have dared which if why I'm such a fan of moisturisers and foundations/BBs with an SPF. Sunscreens mean greasy am I right ladies? And the idea of putting makeup on over sunscreen?... No just no. UNTIL NOW. Forget all you know of sunscreen because this product is revolutionary in it's amazingness.

Firstly let's address the grease factor, or the lack thereof. It's actually blooming lurvely. I'd almost use it as a moisturiser, in fact. It's quickly absorbed and doesn't leave a residue.

when I first took a squiz at it I was a little dubious. It has an odd tinge to it that is clearly zinc. I was sceptical about it's "no white" claim because it straight up looks like sudocrem (baby bum zinc cream aka the most hard to remove and off-whitest substance on earth). I was completely off base with these fears, however, and, as claimed, there was no whiteness.

Another HUGE plus for me is the fact that this is a product the whole family can use. I've been using it on my 17 month old daughter who has extremely sensitive skin and awful eczema and it's great on her too.

I mentioned above that I used this on my face. I went a step further than this and applied it over my moisturiser and under my makeup. Against my better judgement I should add, it sounds cuckoo right? Not only did it not result in the slippity slidey greaseball mess I envisioned, it actually gave me an amazing finish and a gorgeous dewey glow.

Oh and as if all of this wasn't enough it's also a New Zealand brand, animal friendly, organic, and almost natural (which is pretty good as far as sunscreens go most are really quite chemical-laden).

It one of my favorites sunscreens for its non-whitening properties and it's overall natural. It's lightly moisturizing doesn't leave a thick greasy layer like other natural sunscreens. However it does have ethyl-hexyl p-methoxycinnamic acid which isn't natural. However it's difficult to make an all natural non-whitening sunscreen. I would recommend it for anyone who wants to go with a more natural sunscreen but doesn't want a thick, white, greasy layer. You can get it at a reasonable price and big size tube that can be used on the face if you run out of your facial sunscreen. I've worn it when I've been outside all morning and it worked very well.

Well day at the beach and I have my new sunscreen and my togs at the ready. At the beach I'm applying the lotion and hmm its very thick and it doesn't seem to be absorbing at all in to my skin.. My partner looks at me and says you look like a ghost. Ok so this was not the look I was going for, yes I want to apply a sunscreen all the time, but I also want one that is actually not going to sit on the top of my skin and make me look like Im a glowing ghost at the beach. I wanted to try this as I love cruelty free products and have used other Oasis moisturisers that have been great, but this one just wasn't going to cut it. Yes it protects me from the sun as I can't even see my own skin through the whiteness of the lotion.

I bought this sunblock for my daughter and myself, we are both allergic to most other brands of sunscreen and to find this, and be SPF 30+ was a bonus!! It is a thicker, creamer texture than normal sunblocks, but I find this helpful and okay especially because you know where you have put the product. It is easy to rub in and a little does go a long way so you get your bang for your buck! It works well for my dry and sensitive skin.

It has a slight summery scent, I find it quite pleasant. The packaging is great, super handy that it comes in three sizes. I always have the smallest one in my handbag. I have recommended it to other Mums at our playgroup and convinced 4 others to buy it aswell!

I feels like I've tried them all and been highly uncomfortable with the chemical content of the mainstay of products on the market. As a family of four including a preschooler and a baby, I need something that suits us all and protects properly, as we all suits my skin. I love the fact that this is a natural block product without the piles of nasties. It feels non greasy and lightweight, but not drying for the body and face, and does not cause breakouts for me which is a plus! A little goes a long way too which is important with a higher priced item like this. Never had a burn using this which is always a comforting factor, and pleased I can use on my littlest one too this coming summer. Can't rate highly enough!

The first thing I notice about this product is it promises a lot, from the get-go I had high expectations. It did not disappoint.

You only need small amount of this product as it goes a long way. It is easy to rub in to your skin and so deliciously moisturising, I have been using it on my legs in the morning to give them a moisture boost. I find it is very slight whitening but this is me being very nitpicky.

I mixed equal parts of this sunscreen with my morning surem and let that soak into my skin for a few minutes before applying my makeup. I will admit I was conserned that because I have oily skin my makeup would slide around or my skin would be more oily than normal. I did not notice any difference in my skin throughout the day, my makeup wore as it normal did.

I also have sensitive skin, particularly on my face. I didn't not notice any irritation on my body. There was a slight irritation on my face, however it went way quickly and did not cause any noticeable redness or lasting affect.

There was no white mark transfer on my clothing, which is awesome. You can feel that you have something on your skin, however, it was not greasy or slippery in any way.

I really enjoy using this product, it's great that it is curelty free and make in New Zealand. Over all I highly recommend this product.

Even from a young age, I knew the importance of wearing sunscreen and using it all the time, whether is was sunny or cloudy outside. Only problem was the sunscreens I had access to were greasy, hard to rub into my skin, smelled unappealing and left a gross residue that often stained my clothes, making me more than happy to miss this essential product from my skin care regime.

Enter Oasis. I received this product as a sample from the Oasis website, and honestly I did not have high expectations for this product considering my previous sunscreen experiences. Boy was i wrong.

Firstly, lets start with the basic information, this sunscreen is SPF30, which is pretty good. The product is white, and thick enough to hold its shape easily. It has a faint smell, which does not smell chemically at all, and puts all those previous sunscreen experiences to bed! I would describe the smell as a faint almond essence smell combined with a fresh twist.

The formula, although white and thick is nothing like those other sunscreens I’ve experienced. Once applied to skin, it actually represents a lotion consistency, and is easily rubbed into skin. The sunscreen disappears completely, leaving no greasy residue on the skin, hydrating the skin as well as protecting it and I can honestly say this has never stained my clothes.

And here comes the final praise. This sunscreen is so lightweight that I use this as extra protection on my face, under my makeup, and it does not leave my skin oily, greasy or anything else undesirable. I always try to find a foundation, or product that has SPF in it, because I have never used a sunscreen that could be used in conjunction with my beauty products, until I tried Oasis Sunscreen.

Cannot recommend this product enough!

I was fortunate enough to get this during Oasis's sale. I wasn't keen to pay full price in case I wasn't happy with it, and others are so much cheaper. But there is a reason they are cheaper.

I love the packaging. It's so sunny and bright. The tube is big, but still fits in my handbag - and you can get a travel one if you need it.

The formula is great. I hate sunblocks that make you feel like you need to wash it all off straight away. This one I put on 3 boys and then myself and I don't feel greasy and gross. It has a pleasant smell which isn't overpowering like some - the boys like this, our last one "stinks like perfume" apparently!

My oldest and I burn at the drop of a hat, this summer we spent two weeks camping and aside from the last day where I stupidly forgot to put it on anywhere other than my face - we didn't get burnt! That's two weeks out in the full sun, on the beach, and no burn. I love it.

The only thing I would have marked it down a little on is not being able to wear it under make up - it says that you can, but when I have tested this out I find my make up slipping off in a hurry. This could be because my skin is oily and the combination of the two means my make up moves. But I didn't think it was enough to take a whole star away ;)

So in my opinion, it's worth spending a little extra and getting something that works well and feels good. And lasts! We are still using our tube when others disappear so quickly.

I read this great blog that suggested using moisturiser as well as a decent SPF 30 was likely to create an oil slick and challenged me to use just sunscreen for 7 days, this was the one she recommended and I can see why. Its great coverage and doesn't clog your pores but leaves your skin feeling fresh and hydrated and ..... it seems to let my makeup stay on much longer. The oasis crew are lovely to deal with too which is an added bonus. Oh and NO animal testing
