Oasis Beauty Sun SPF 30+ Review

This comes in a great little tube with a firm-click flip-top lid. I love this sort of packaging, as it's hygienic and air-tight, and also really handy for chucking into my bag when I'm in a rush. The product itself is quite a thick cream, but it's surprisingly easy to spread on the skin, and melts in quickly to a clean, non-greasy finish. It does leave a very faint white cast on the skin, but as I'm a really pale girl anyway, it actually evens out my skin making me look a bit more 'finished', so I like it. I really love that it has all these skin-nourishing ingredients in it, that it's free of nasty chemicals, cruelty-free, and born and bred in NZ! It means I feel good about using it as an everyday cream. However, it's not as moisturising as I had expected. I usually wear a moisturiser underneath, and then it works fine, although by the end of the day my skin feels like it needs a good hydration boost. I do have dry skin though, so for someone with oilier skin, this would probably be perfect on its own. I've never had the slightest hint of stinging or irritation from this sunblock, it feels comfortable on, looks natural, isn't too expensive, and protects my delicate, pale skin from our vicious NZ sun. Love it!

I was lucky enough to be picked to trial this product and was buzzing about four factors. 1. Cruelty free! What's better than that?! 2. Can be used on the whole family, I have a family to protect against the sun including a 1 year old, glad this was safe to use on her 3. New Zealand made, I'm all for New Zealand made products! And 4. Made for sensitive skin, I have very sensitive skin., eczema, dry skin etc

The packaging is sturdy but a little bulky, however I did notice this product comes in all sizes from 50ml to 500ml maybe have the bigger tube for at home and a smaller one for in the bag to take places with you? :)

I used this product on my partner, myself, my 7 year old and my 1 year old and we didn't get burnt at all so it definitely protects you from the sun. None of us had any reaction to the product either which I was super happy with as I have sensitive skin, so a big tick for that!

I also loved how thick it was, and how easy it was to rub in, unlike a few others we have tried which have been runny and greasy. Oh and it smells lovely, It's most certainly not an over powering smell. There are other sunscreens you can get and can still smell on yourself after it has throughly been rubbed in, this product is not like that.

I will continue using this product as our family protection against the sun, we as a family are rather happy with it! I have already recommended it to a group of my mummy friends!

I did something I have never done before (as an adult) with this product. Something I never dreamed could be done. I put sunscreen on my...gasp...face. Yes the same sunscreen I applied to my body. And it was gooooood.

Prior to this I wouldn't have dared which if why I'm such a fan of moisturisers and foundations/BBs with an SPF. Sunscreens mean greasy am I right ladies? And the idea of putting makeup on over sunscreen?... No just no. UNTIL NOW. Forget all you know of sunscreen because this product is revolutionary in it's amazingness.

Firstly let's address the grease factor, or the lack thereof. It's actually blooming lurvely. I'd almost use it as a moisturiser, in fact. It's quickly absorbed and doesn't leave a residue.

when I first took a squiz at it I was a little dubious. It has an odd tinge to it that is clearly zinc. I was sceptical about it's "no white" claim because it straight up looks like sudocrem (baby bum zinc cream aka the most hard to remove and off-whitest substance on earth). I was completely off base with these fears, however, and, as claimed, there was no whiteness.

Another HUGE plus for me is the fact that this is a product the whole family can use. I've been using it on my 17 month old daughter who has extremely sensitive skin and awful eczema and it's great on her too.

I mentioned above that I used this on my face. I went a step further than this and applied it over my moisturiser and under my makeup. Against my better judgement I should add, it sounds cuckoo right? Not only did it not result in the slippity slidey greaseball mess I envisioned, it actually gave me an amazing finish and a gorgeous dewey glow.

Oh and as if all of this wasn't enough it's also a New Zealand brand, animal friendly, organic, and almost natural (which is pretty good as far as sunscreens go most are really quite chemical-laden).
