I used this for the whole of last summer, including in Sydney. I found it was great, there was a slight whitening but no rashes like from other chemically produced creams and a neutral smell.

This is a lovely sunscreen that doesn't feel too heavy or greasy on the skin. I have even worn this under makeup and I didn't get the dreaded shiny face from it. It isn't my favourite sunscreen for my face though (I prefer to use a higher SPF) so I prefer to use it on my body instead. This is a great sunscreen for those who hate wearing sunscreen, to get them into the daily habit.
This sunscreen goes on like moisturiser - i really like it. However, i need to reapply it often to avoid burning
Tips: Apply every couple of hours
It one of my favorites sunscreens for its non-whitening properties and it's overall natural. It's lightly moisturizing doesn't leave a thick greasy layer like other natural sunscreens. However it does have ethyl-hexyl p-methoxycinnamic acid which isn't natural. However it's difficult to make an all natural non-whitening sunscreen. I would recommend it for anyone who wants to go with a more natural sunscreen but doesn't want a thick, white, greasy layer. You can get it at a reasonable price and big size tube that can be used on the face if you run out of your facial sunscreen. I've worn it when I've been outside all morning and it worked very well.
A little while ago, I sent my daughter to daycare with her new sunscreen. I had been using aveeno sunscreen as my little girls skin is really sensitive because of her eczema. But when I ran out, I struggled to find more of the aveeno sunscreen. I checked multiple supermarkets, chemists and even a few warehouses but I had no luck. So I decided to try a nivea one.....
The same day I picked her up from daycare, her teacher told me her skin had reacted to the new sunscreen and it flared up her eczema quite severly. So I had to get rid of it.
I turned to some friends I've made on the BR site and quite a few of them recommened I try the oasis sun. So I searched it on the internet and was quite thrown back by the price. $40 to me was very pricey. Especially for sunscreen (and because I needed two, one for daycare and one for home, I was even more hesitant). It must have been my lucky day though as one of the girls put up a link to a website that currently had it on special so without hesitation I put it in my cart and checked out.
I'm so glad I did. It was like a miracle worker. I had to do a test patch first because I didn't want my girls skin to flare up again because I know how sore and uncomfortable it makes her.
The next day her skin was looking good so I knew that this product was going to be good for her. I used it sparingly (a little goes a long way) for a few months and her skin was looking better than ever. It didn't leave that awful sunscreen smell, it didn't leave her looking greasy and there were no ghost white patches in sight. It's really easy to rub in too. I find with most other sunscreens it takes quite a while for you to actually rub the product in properly so there's no residue left on your skin. So this is perfect for little ones who don't like to sit still for very long.
It protected her skin from the sun better than any other sunscreen. It said to re apply every so often so I would put some on her in the morning, and then her teachers would put more on at lunch time. And it worked brilliantly. She was protected from the sun all day long.
The only negative thing about this product is the price. Spending $40 on sunscreen all the time is just slightly ridiculous. Especially for a family. I will definitely repurchase, but only when it's on sale.
I love the idea of this sunscreen. Instead of the usual 'apply and rub in', this one says to apply but DON'T rub in. Instead, it just settles onto the skin.
I love this because it meant I could see any patches that I had missed and I felt like it was very heavy coverage for my baby girl.
On the downside, it turns out it doesn't ALWAYS absorb - both hubby and I had patches of sunscreen on our ears an hour later and he had a go at me about 'don't rub it in and it'll disappear, aye?'
Nevertheless, I feel this is an excellent sunscreen for when protection is more important than going for an invisible sunscreen look.
I received a little sample tube of Oasis Beauty Sun 30+ when I ordered a full sized tube of Oasis Beauty BB Cream.
Oasis Beauty Sun 30+ is full of natural ingredients like jojoba oil, shea butter and vitamin E to help protect and moisturise your skin. Best of all, it's suitable for the whole family and can be used on toddlers and children, as well as during pregnancy.
The formula of the sunscreen has a non-greasy finish, with invisible protection that will not stain your clothes. It can be used on face and body and it can be worn under make-up without causing the make-up to slip.
There are no animal products in Oasis Beauty's goodies, so Sun 30+ is suitable for vegans, is cruelty-free and is free from parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, sulphate and nano-particles.
There is only one downside to this product; it is not water-resistant. Being married to a fair-skinned, red-headed surfer, who spends hours at a time in the water, I know the importance of having a water-resistant sunscreen. If it's not water-resistant, it simply washes off after a few minutes and there is no sun protection while you're splashing around in the water.
Oasis Beauty Sun 30+ is great to use on a daily basis, under make-up, or when I'm out gardening, exploring or BBQing but if we're going to the beach, I prefer to use a water-resistant sunscreen.
I'd recommend it if you're looking for something to wear on a daily basis.
Tips: Add it to your daily skincare routine
I can't remember where I picked this up but I did take this to Hawaii with me earlier this year and have been using it daily. It is a non sticky formula that absorbs easily and quickly into the skin without leaving it feeling yucky.
This is the first NZ brand CF sunscreen I have used and would purchase again.
When I was transitioning to cruelty free products few years ago, this was the only one I could find and it's made in NZ. I bought the 250ml tube from HealthPost.
It has a pleasant scent and it has a thick, runny consistency. I used it on my face and body. It absorbed very well into the skin. The only problem was, my oily skin looked even more oil, but my body was fine. I applied it at least 30 minutes before heading outside. I would go couple of hours without getting burnt, only if I was outside. Then reapplying when necessary.
This is a great sunscreen, but I'm using 50+ sunscreens now which have better protection. I'll only buy this if I didn't any other option.
Tips: Apply at least 30 minutes before heading outside.
I got my first tube a while ago, as I wanted something that would protect my skin from the sun but without all of the chemicals. When you first put it on it is white, but it very quickly soaks into your skin and doesn't leave a greasy residue. The added bonus is that I can use it on all of the family, even my six month old. It is more expensive than supermarket sunscreen, but it beats buying a separate product for each family member. The only downside is that it washes off with heavy perspiration or swimming, so you do need to remember to reapply it regularly.
