I have used a number of OGX range of shampoo/conditioner duos, including this one and must admit I am not a fan. They do come nicely packaged and are easy to apply and wash off and smell great! however that's about it for me really. My hair felt frizzy, and didn't really look any different in appearance (shine/body/volume). I've used cheaper shampoo/conditioner duos which worked better. Not using again - didn't work for me overall.

I'm in two minds about this product (particularly the conditioner). The shampoo was ok, it smelt really nice but it didnt lather up really well (which I like my shampoos to do) so I found you have to use quite a bit to get it all through your hair. It left my hair feeling quite stripped which isn't necessarily a bad thing, just means you need a really conditioning conditioner to follow up afterwards. The conditioner was lacking in this. It was soft and silky and smelt really nice but you had to put on a tremendous amount to leave your hair feeling properly conditioned after the stripping shampoo. Even still, my hair didn't have that lovely conditioned feel where you can run your fingers through and they just slide through the silk. After blow drying and straightening my hair (which I do on a daily basis) I did notice my hair was nice and soft and there weren't so many fly aways as there usually are. I'm not sure how much it strengthened my hair as I have many split ends which haven't appeared to look any better.
Tips: Be prepared to use a very generous amount
I have very fine, long hair which is prone to dry ends so was looking forward to trying this shampoo and conditioner in hopes that it would help the dryness and make my hair softer.
The packaging looks nice on the shelf, but it's not very practical. The lid is rounded so you can't put it upside down to get the last of the product out. It is also a very stiff plastic which makes it difficult to squeeze out the product.
The product itself has an odd smell but it's not noticeable once my hair has dried so can be forgiven for that.
The shampoo is very drying. It felt like it stripped my hair of all its natural oils, despite only shampooing once.
The conditioner had the opposite effect. It made my hair feel quite greasy and weighed down. I tried putting in just a small amount and pretty much rinsing it out while putting it in my hair but it still felt greasy.
Once my hair has dried it seems more prone to knots and tangles, especially at the ends.
All in all, i'm a bit disappointed with this shampoo and conditioner, and won't be purchasing again.
I have shoulder length hair that can get oily very quickly. I was looking for a sulphate free shampoo and conditioner when I stumbled across this duo. I had to think about the fact that buying the duo at $19 a piece was a lot of money wasted if it didn't deliver what it claimed. Anyway the sulphate free claim won me over. To be honest, I didn't really see any difference to my hair as opposed to what I was already using. My hair did feel and smell nice but that's about all. I did feel better for the fact that my hair colour would not be stripped and that no sulphate or parabens were plaguing my hair and scalp. I probably wouldn't use this particular duo of the OrganiX again but I will definitely move on and try one of their other ones in the range.
Tips: 385ml is a generous amount and would have lasted a lot longer if my daughter hadn't taken the liberty of helping herself to it.
I love the Ogx awapuhi ginger shampoo and conditioner but it is so hard to find, the joy of rural NZ. So while I was at the big town supermarket I found this one. I also love argan oil and have found it working wonders in my hair so I thought this would be perfect for my dry hair.
The blue bottles stand out and are different to other shampoo and conditioner bottles. The lids are easy to flip open and shut and easy to get both the shampoo and conditioner out. The only thing I don't like about this, is the bottles don't sit on their lids so you do need to shake them quite a bit.
The shampoo is like a pearl beige colour and the conditioner is a cream colour the consistency of both of these is quite thick especially the conditioner it's very thick. The scent of these is just like a normal shampoo and conditioner nothing really amazing which disappointed me I thought it would have been amazing.
With this shampoo and conditioner you don't need to use too much, the shampoo lathers up quite a lot. The conditioner is very thick and goes a long way. After my hair had dried it didn't feel exceptionally soft or nourished it was just average. I don't think this shampoo and conditioner is worth the relatively high price tag.
The shampoo and conditioner both come in identical bright blue bottles with a gold cap. The packaging looks gorgeous and unique due to the oval shape of the bottles. However, it's a bit inconvenient in the shower than the shampoo and conditioner look identical as it's hard to tell them apart. The packaging is also very bulky so it's not very good for travelling with, but I like that a generous amount of product is included as these are quite pricy for supermarket haircare. The shampoo is thick in texture and a golden colour, with a really pleasant typical shampoo fragrance. It lathers well but also washes out easily, without drying my hair out too much. I don't find it does anything special to warrant the high pricetag but it does what I expect a shampoo to do. The conditioner is also thick and creamy in texture, and is golden in colour. It has the same fragrance as the shampoo except its much stronger which I love. I find the conditioner is a lot better than the shampoo, it's gentle and leaves my hair feeling nice and soft. I also like that the shampoo and conditioner are sulfate-free. Overall I think these do a nice job, but they are a lot pricier than other supermarket haircare and don't do anything special so I probably wouldn't repurchase unless they were on sale as I can't justify the pricetag.
An ok shampoo and conditioner. Left without any great results A thick conditioner I had high hopes for this. But sadly just not worth the dollars in my opinion.
I decided to try these out when I saw them on sale at the supermarket they kind of just left my incredibly dry curly hair feeling greasy and gross not worth the money in my opinion as other conditioner/shampoos you can get at the supermarket work way better
I bought the conditioner and two oils. I have to say I really like the oils but the conditioner has not really amazed me. The bottle is weird you cannot turn it upside down to get the last of it but I like gold. The smell is not yucky but it is nothing that makes you really want to buy it again unless you like mild scents, One good thing is a little seems to go a long way which makes up for the price of the product. You can feel the smoothing effect but I did not notice it really penetrating deep into the hair much I do like the fact it is free from some unpleasant additives. Also claims to protect hair from heat damages etc I feel it is one of those all in one products that is a bit over rated although I have not used long term or everyday as I do like to alternate my shampoo and because the scent it mild. I do not know if I would re buy at this stage because it simply does not seem that good but there was some softness and silkyness I do really like the oils I bought with this they smell like lollies!
I tried the conditioner of this line, in the hopes it would tame my fly aways and replenish my dry ends..i would say it probably did help the fly aways a little bit, but did nothing for my ends, in fact i felt like they actually got a bit dryer?! I got it from a chemist so it cost me $19.99, and i felt quite dissapointed that it didnt really do what i had hoped. I wouldnt buy it again
