I have never tried Olay before but after using this product, I’m a convert! The box says it brightens skin for a radiant glow and they are right. The serum has a lovely texture and fragrance and glides over the skin. It has a pearl lustre which probably helps with a luminous look. Although you are supposed to use 2 pumps from the bottle I found one was more than enough and you don’t have to wait long for it to absorb. The instructions say to use morning and night which I don’t normally do with a serum (just night only as I have slightly oily skin) but I found it didn’t add any extra layers under BB cream in the morning and in fact felt like a primer which helped makeup glide on better. In terms of fading age spots? No I don’t think it did anything but I’ve only been using it for 2 weeks so far but overall my skin looks amazing, hydrated, fresh and more even toned. It’s also smoother on my cheeks and less oily around my t zone. On days where I just wear sunscreen I check myself in the mirror and would be happy to step out in public which is a great sign of being happy with the results. The only downside I found is one night I used a scrub before applying this and my skin immediately became tingly and sensitive so I would recommend you don’t follow with the super serum after an intense peel/face mask day. I’m looking forward to trying other Olay products after this one to see what they can do.

Reviews
This olay serum is amazing. I have been using this for only 2 weeks and i can already see a difference. I use morning and night after cleansing and it makes my skin feel so silky smooth and look so healthy and hydrated. I love the texture of the serum. It is a smooth liquid that spreads so well over the skin and absorbs great leaving my skin feel amazing. I feel like the skin texture throughout the day looks more even and has that healthy natural glow look. Using under foundation is great too, foundation still applies like normal but has a smoother look on the skin. Since i have been using the serum i have loved how my skin is looking and have been wearing less foundation since i feel more confident with my skin. I also think it has helped with fine lines which is super amazing. I love the packaging so easy to use and hygenic with the dropper and you always get the perfect amount with just one pump of the lid. I am so surprised of this product and how i can see a change in my skin so early on so i can say im definitely going to be repurchasing this product and have many more spares on hand. Would totally recommend to anyone. Love love love!
I like the packaging. It's unique in the way it opens a pump at the top, as you turn, for a dropper. The dropper helps you control how much product you want to use. The fragrance is light, I like that it isn't something I continue to smell on my skin as I find that overpowering. The product also feels light on my skin. I like that there isn't a heavy residue. It absorbs into my skin very quickly and my skin feels really hydrated after using it. I haven't noticed any dark spots lightening yet, but I will continue to use it and see if this happens. I have noticed my forehead especially just looks better, like a healthy glow to it. One of my favourite things is it hasn't caused congestion in my skin, I break out after using a lot of things. But not with this. The price point is my only slight put off, I really like the product but the price is a little higher than I would ideally pay.
Tips: If your face starts to feel like it's not absorbing it, rub any leftover into your nail beds or knuckles. Feels great.
I have been using this serum twice a day for at least 2 weeks now. I wash my face with my usual cleanser, then apply the serum then moisturiser.
Consistency: quite liquidy Fragrance: smells floral to me but just a slight hint and not overpowering
When I apply onto my face , it feels slightly tacky as it dries up, once fully dry then I apply my moisturiser.
Application: I apply in circular , upward motions, giving my facial muscles a gentle massage.
Glow: Once I finish my skincare - (face wash or (add exfoliation twice a week) then serum and moisturise),and if I leave my face as it is without makeup, then my face looks shiny especially when the sun hits my forehead/ cheeks.
I didn’t like how my skin is shiny, I expected that my skin would look naturally bright overall and not just shiny like I have oil on my forehead.
However, When I add my makeup with light- medium coverage foundation, my face looked as if I am wearing a subtle highlight. Very natural. I really how it looks and I would definitely include this in my routine.
I didn’t see any changes to my uneven skin tone or dark spots. This serum for me is just like a brightening primer, hopefully as I use it longer than 2 weeks , I will see more improvement to my skin.
So far I am very happy with this product as part of my makeup routine and I would really recommend it.
Tips: Use as recommended , at least twice a day.
I haven't used an Olay product in a long time so was looking forward to trying this serum! Firstly, the packaging is lovely and simple, I liked the push button style dropper, it was easy to use.
I found the serum texture silky, easy to spread across my skin - didn't feel sticky nor too watery, and absorbed quickly, all the things I like in my serums! It also has a mild pleasant scent, I don't mind scented skincare as long as it's not too overpowering, and this Olay scent is nice.
After two weeks of using the Niacinamide + Vitamin C Super Serum morning and night, I did notice my skin looking somewhat brighter and feeling a little smoother overall, I think continued use of this product over a longer period will probably increase the changes I'm starting to see. I'm at an age where my skin is starting to show some fine lines now so while I really like this serum, I'd probably like to try the Niacinamide + Hyaluronic serum in this Olay range for its skin-plumping claims.
Overall I would recommend this product to anyone with normal to dry skin, it's a nice hydrating non-greasy serum that's simple to use after cleaning and toning, even if you're in a rush because it's so easy to apply and absorbs quickly.
Tips: This serums spreads quite well so you don't need a lot - I use one pump for my neck and décolletage, and one pump for my face, and that's quite a generous amount already. I like to use any extra on the back of my hands too. :)
When I first received this product to review, I was a little sceptical that it would actually do what it said it would. However, after almost 2 weeks I’m pleasantly surprised!
I have been using this serum morning and night alongside my Essano set which contains niacinamide, and together they have really helped settle my skin and even it out. The serum is super silky and easy to spread across my face, but doesn’t leave an oil slick across my face which I really appreciate!
The serum smells really nice, not overpowering and doesn’t have that real chemical smell to it. Hard to tell if the smell doesn’t linger long or if you just get used to it quick because after about 5 minutes I couldn’t smell a thing.
It’s recommended to use 2 pumps of serum, however I found it quite difficult to get a full second pump without having to screw the lid back on, pumping it a few times then unscrewing it again.
Overall this was a really nice product for my skin. At $36 a bottle I’m glad a little goes a long way!
Tips: Start with 1 pump first and see how well it covers your face before trying a second pump. Also helps to pump the bottle a few times to prime the tube before you apply.
The serum smells nice and feels light on the skin. It doesn’t leave any residue after it’s dried. I had super dry skin that moisturiser wasn’t solving but the serum cleared it up after 2 days of use, morning and night. My skin feels smoother and it looks a little clearer but hard to tell after a week’s use. I’ll definitely keep using it!
The instructions say 2 pumps but 1 pump covers your face. I use two to cover my neck area.
I'd previously been using a supermarket brand Vitamin C serum and the Olay Luminous Niacinamide + Vitamin C Super Serum is certainly a step up.
The glass bottle gives it a high-end look and auto-dropper delivers just the right amount of product (although I did actually have to read the instructions to learn how to use it)!
The Olay Luminous Niacinamide + Vitamin C Super Serum is hydrating and absorbs easily. It also works perfectly when layering products as I follow it with creams and make-up depending on the time of the day.
I have dark pigmentation above one of my eyebrows and I'm not convinced that using this product twice per day for over two weeks has made much of a difference. My skin definitely looks brighter, more even, and more supple though. I will continue to use it and expect to see the promised benefits over time.
The Olay Luminous Niacinamide + Vitamin C Super Serum bottle is small and if you're using two pumps twice a day, I don't see a bottle lasting much more than a month. It's worth shopping around to buy this product as the price seems to vary drastically ($35.99 - $59.99) depending on where you purchase it from.
I was super excited to receive this product it looked awesome and ive never really tried a serum on my face before as i was always worried that it would make my face too oily but boy was i wrong with this product! The packaging was brilliant and felt so luxurious, from the shiny box it came in to the bottle with its twist top and dropper to drip the product onto my skin. The serum looked beautiful and shimmery before i applied it onto my skin. It absorbed into my skin so quickly leaving it feeling soft and smelling beautiful and fresh. Didnt really notice much of a change in my skin tone and brightening my skin but i will keep using and seeing if it makes any changes the more i use it. So glad i gave this serum a try and its really wanting me to try serums on my face more often for sure!
I was stoked to try the Olay Luminous Niacinamide + Vitamin C Super Serum, as I already use a Niacinamide serum by The Ordinary and had been looking at getting their Vitamin C serum as well. Having them combined is awesome (and a money-saver)! The serum fit into my routine really easily with my other skincare, it was a really nice consistency and smelt good. The bottle recommended 2 pumps but that seemed like an awful lot on my hand. I really like how my skin looks and feels after using this (in conjunction with my other skincare). I feel like my skin is bright and glowy with a very even skin tone. I haven't worn any kind of foundation or BB cream the entire lockdown because I honestly feel like I don't need it. The packaging was the only thing I wasn't a fan of, it doesn't really stand up to the shelfie test with my other products. Also maybe it's just me, but I found the instructions super unclear – it took me a good 10 minutes to figure out how it actually dispensed the serum. With that said, once I did crack the Da Vinci code and get into it I really liked it, and I would buy it again.
Tips: Don't use with a Retinol serum, the reaction with Vitamin C will give you a chemical burn. Vitamin C also makes your skin more susceptible to the sun, so make sure to use SPF if you use the serum in the morning!
