Olay Niacinamide + Vitamin C Eye Cream

This eye cream is a lot like the moisturiser but I think this more effective! The dark circles under my eyes seem to be lighter, and it's great as a primer before makeup. I like that it comes in an opaque pottle and absorbs quickly into the skin. I also think that this is thicker, maybe that's why it's more effective? it smells the same too, so if you're sensitive to fragrances I'd skip this.

I used this eye cream in partnership with the moisturiser and while it was ok, I wasn't blown away by it. The moisturiser I loved, this got an ok. It felt like it didn't absorb as quickly and left a residue on my skin, which personally I don't like, especially so close to my eyes. I would say that it seemed to do what it claimed at least in part, but not as effectively or quickly as the partner moisturiser worked for the main skin on my face. I also didn't really feel the instant cooling, this was something I felt more with the moisturiser. Also I found the smell a little weird, I can't put my finger on why, it smelt chemically to me.

I'll start with the negative point - wasteful packaging. The actual pottle is little but overly packed in an over sized multi layer contraction. All out of plastic so that's not really necessary.

The actual cream: As advertised super light, not a heavy cream that some products can be and you honestly don't need much.

There is a fresh mild scent that is kinda fruity - not offensive at all. It does also absorb quickly. By the time I've applied my serum it's absorbed in and so I'm ready for my moisturiser. I honestly cannot tell if there is much of a difference around my eyes but no irritation and the skin does feel hydrated so I think that's a positive.

I have been trialing the Olay Niacinamide & Vitamin C eye cream in conjunction with the matching moisturiser. I tried to buy the serum of the same range but could not find it at my local supermarket.

The cream arrived packaged and is sold in a bigger plastic packaging, which I did not like - we all trying to cut back on some plastic wastage. Inside it was double lined with cardboard - I think a matching cardboard packaging would have been acceptable and it would nicely match the rest of the range. Just my personal observation.

The product however come in the a 15g pot that is easy to use once you are able to extract it from the plastic packaging. I used it twice a day as recommended and found it quite soothing and no irritation occurred. The eye cream is creamy but very light, and borderline watery - think the consistency is just right as it sat lightly on the eyes - I found it really calming and dewy and used it morning and at bed time.

It retail around $48, but still cheaper than other brands which did not work as well - I will continue using this one and would recommend to people with baggy and dark circles.

I have been using this product and found the packaging to look lovely but be impractical as I prefer my eye cream in a tube to ensure effective dispensation.

I have not noticed any visible results from using this product but it does leave my feeling refreshed in the eye area and clear

This product is more liquid-y than I expected for a pot eye cream, but does provide good hydration around the eye area. This could suit someone that has oily eyelids and doesn't want an oily product. I detected a slight scent, not obvious and it didn't irritate my eyes after application. I'm not a fan of the box that the eye cream comes in, definitely a lot of plastic that is unnecessary for a tiny pot.

Used this every day and night hoping it may help with bags under eyes. Not so good with the bags but definitely reduced the fine lines on outside of eye area. Huge container compared to most eye creams. A tiny amount goes a long way. I will continue to use hoping to further reduce lines

I've always been a bit skeptical of eye creams - often it seems they are just a smaller version of a moisturiser, sold at the same price. Hence why it's something I don't often purchase, though will use when given one or receive one as a gift with purchase etc.

Looking at the ingredients in comparison to the range's moisturiser - 4 of the top 5 ingredients are the same. The product feels much the same, however is unscented and is more translucent in colour.

The packaging is nice - in line with Olay's more specialised range with the chrome lid, a nice simple tub which is easy to use.

The product itself feels quite nice - it's close to a gel cream formula, like the mosturiser. It absorbs super quick and almost feels watery when coming into contact with the skin. The area under my eyes is feeling quite nice and hydrated - I haven't yet noticed any brightening, but I will continue to use so hopefully this comes! I do like the cooling hydration effect the product gives however I do prefer something more thick and rich for an eye cream.

Overall, I personally feel it is priced slightly too high at around $50, therefore it is not something I would personally purchase at full price, but I would consider it at a lower price point.

I was excited to try this. I have been a long time user of Olay products and think they are amazing. Before trying this product, I used a vitamin c serum every morning.

This eye cream comes in a cute box but due to its reflection l, it makes it hard to see what it says it does.

It comes in a cute little tub and is a clear, cream consistency. I love that it gives good details on how to use it, saying to apply onto eyelids, around the eyes etc.

I have so far been using this product for about 3 weeks, twice a day.

It feels light, beautifully silky and applied to the eyes wonderfully. It absorbs well and my makeup went on well over it.

Unfortunately, I did not notice any brightening of my under eyes. I would prefer it to give a bit extra moisture to my eye area also.

I think that using the matching face cream around the eye area would be efficient, in replace of the eye cream.

I had such high hopes for this eye cream as I have had dark circles under my eyes for as long as I can remember and I’m sick of seeing them. Now this cream isn’t that magic cure all I’m wanting, however all the other effects have me forgiving the dark circles being only slightly better. Not a huge fan of the scent unfortunately, it’s giving me a faint mechanical or plastic smell. Those two things aside, this cream did everything else it was supposed to. Both the skin under my eyes, and my eyelids are silky soft, nicely hydrated and seem a bit brighter. No irritation at all from using the cream either, which is awesome considering the delicate area it is to be used on. Even though the pot seems small, I guarantee this will last months, which makes it worth the expense. All in all, a very good product.
