Olay Regenerist Advanced Cleansing System Review

I purchased this brush system as I wanted to trial this type of product before going to something a bit more expensive.

Skin feels great after the very first use (and I have been exfoliating several times a week already).

I will continue to use it on face and neck as its doing a grand job and I don't really see the need to purchase anything else at this stage.

Only wish there was more definition between the speeds, but overall very happy with the product and would recommend.

i dont use this often but i wanted to try it out before spending a lot of clarisonic. BUT i am glad i bought this because even though this brush cleans your face really well i have noticed that i dont use it much. mostly because my skin is very sensitive and the last time i used it it made my skin REALLY sore. it would hurt to put even lotion on. i guess its because my skin is really sensitive. im kinda scared to try it again but its good with removing makeup :) i wish they had brushes for sensitive skin. the brush moving at high speed can really scrape your skin.

I wanted to purchase the Clarisonic Mia but it's nearly impossible to find a place that will ship to NZ, and the new Trade Me ones that someone is importing are horrendously over priced. I heard about the Olay one and went down to my local Warehouse the same day. It's really cheap! It's not really a thorough clean as I expected (and hoped) it would be, but it does a pretty good job. I've been using it for about a week or two now and haven't noticed a massive change in my skin, but it hasn't done anything bad, so I'll continue to use it in the hopes that it really is deep cleansing!

I really enjoyed using this product, it does what it says and leaves me with very clean feeling skin. However I am concerned about the size of my pores, I'm not too sure if this product is reducing size as they still seem as big as ever in my T-zone.

I wanted to try something along the lines of a clarisonic, MINUS the price tag, so this was perfect. It really is a deep cleanse, and it's amazing how much makeup it still removes even after you think you've got it all off. Your skin feels so incredibly smooth once you've used it, and I have defiantly noticed that my skin doesn't look as dull as it did before.

I found this on sale for 25% off at the Warehouse, and later picked up the replacement brush heads too.

I have oily, slightly acne prone skin with big pores. I've been using certain products (mostly BHA) which helps deal with the pores and therefore don't get blackheads, luckily. However, I've found that with some of the makeup I wear that it catches in the pores or sebaceous filaments and doesn't get washed off easily, even when I double cleanse and use a wash cloth.

I've been using this with a really gentle cleanser (Plantae gel) when my makeup refuses to get thoroughly cleaned off, which is usually maybe twice a week. It's been helping me keep everything clear and smooth. I haven't found it necessary to use it every day, and would prefer to keep it to occasional use because I use chemical exfoliants and want to let those do the job rather than overdo things.

The Olay brush rotates at two different speeds, although I don't think it makes much of a difference. I mainly concentrate usage around the nose, which is where my pores are the biggest and catch the most product and debris. I also use it briefly around my chin. I feel like it's much more gentle than scrubbing with a facecloth.

It should be noted that the brush head rotates, whereas I think the Clarisonic and similar brushes vibrate, so it's not necessarily a dupe. However, it's at such a good price point that it's worth a try if you want a thorough cleanse.

The only people I wouldn't recommend this for would be those with sensitive skin, or if you know you're sensitive to manual manipulation of your skin. I also wouldn't recommend using it with physical exfoliants because it would probably be a bit too rough. Gentle does it!

I have been using this cleansing system now for 1 week and have already noticed a HUGE difference to my skin. My skin is oily and i have small bumps all over my face. I have and would try anything to help clear my skin and this is the only product i have used that has done this for me!

I bought this for $34.99 at Farmers and have been using it for about 3 weeks.

I have noticed others raving about their ultrasonics and wanted to give one a go without the price tag as do not want to spend on something that could just be quite gimmicky.

The system takes two AA batteries which is included in the box. You also receive a small Olay Regenerist facial wash in the box. When I purchased mine from Farmers they also gave me a free 100ml Olay skin renewal Cleanser. The actual system is really nice, white, little and smooth and is nice to hold. It seems to be water tight which means I keep mine in the shower (out of direct water stream). There are two speeds however I do not find much difference between them both. The brush is really nice and soft. You only get one in the box and advices to change every 3 months (I have not seen replaceable heads). I find it quite relaxing and enjoy letting the system do the cleansing and I simply close my eyes and enjoy. You can see after how much dirt and makeup it has removed when you look at the brush.

When I first started using I found it made me breakout especially on my chin, I feel it almost released the spots I had there waiting under the skin. Now I have stopped breaking out my skin is lovely, clean and smooth. I like that you are able to exfoliate without having to buy an exfoliating wash.

For only $35 gimicky or not I would say this is worth the money. Even just to give yourself a nice face massage.

Oh my gosh, I am loving this. You cna use your usual cleanser and turn it into an exfoliator just by using this. I love it with the Olay Anti Aging Cleanser. Blocked pores have been reduced and my skin has a glow. I am good to go with just a bb or cc cream after this. I have oily to combination skin with concerns about aging so this is perfect. Highly recommended.

I think the Olay Regenerist Advances Cleansing System may be the single best thing I have ever done for my skin. I've only been using it for just over one week, so I'll update this over time to see it's long-term effects but here's my thoughts right now.. OH MY GOD!

Firstly, I have been cursed with the WORST skin genes ever. I have had acne since I was 10 (honestly, thinking back that really is a horrible thing for anyone anyway let alone a child to go through). The result of this as a still-suffering acne-prone adult is that I have a lot of acne scars, blemishes and oily skin.

This kit comes with the cleansing brush and cleanser. It doesn't give any particular instructions on how often you should use it but I began using it twice a day and then switched to just once at the end of the day as I didn't know if even though it's gentle, twice would be too much although I didn't notice any bad effects of using it twice.

After removing makeup, I wet my face and applied the Olay exfoliating cleanser to my face. I've used other cleansers and my african black soap too and all worked fine. I actually really like the cleanser it comes with, it had small exfoliating beads, a mild scent and was gentle on the skin.

I moved the brush over my face, 20 seconds on my forehead, 20 on nose and chin and 10 on each cheek. It feels to me like the perfect level of exfoliation, not too light like some exfoliating cleansers by themselves, and not too heavy. You can actually see makeup coming away on it which is really gross but it's good knowing that with this you get it all! Once I cleansed with Cetaphil first then used it with the exfoliant and I must have forgotten to take my brow makeup off cause you could see the brush head going dark brown!

Afterwards, my skin felt soft, smooth, clean and fresh. This brush really is gentle enough that you could use it twice a day, once a day like me, or only a couple of times a week. I really can't recommend this product highly enough to everyone, it will just add that extra touch to your skincare routine and help your products work to their fullest potential. And it's a real bargain at this price!
