Olay Regenerist Advanced Cleansing System Review

It was a quick decision that I came to, that I need this gadget in my life - after reading glowing comments in the BR forum and the great reviews. The big question..does it live up to the hype? Oh it sure does! If you don't have one of these, you should really think about getting one!

Firstly, my skin is dry, combination at times and tends to be sensitive. Before I started using this, my skin was not in the best shape as I had a few pimples and uneven skin tone.. But, since using this, in combination with my Dermalogica products, my skin has never looked better.

The Clarisonic sounds amazing but I just don't have the budget to spend $200 on this. For $35 this is such great value, and a perfect dupe I'm sure!

The Olay brush is white, stylish and comfortable to hold. It fits in your hand nicely and the bristles are soft and feel gentle against your skin. There are two speed settings, which Is a great idea.

I like the concept of double cleansing, and this is how I use the brush. I firstly wash my face using a warm flannel and my usual cleanser. After washing this off (my face still wet) I turn this on the speed setting and let it work its magic!

As I mentioned before, my skin looks the best it has. I think it's because this brush really helps to eliminate all of your makeup and you get such an awesome and effective cleanse. It also works by exfoliating the dead skin, therefore my complexion is so much nicer and my skin tone has improved. Because of this my makeup also goes on better.

I'm so impressed with this little gem - I can't recommend it enough!

This product has completely changed my skin from acne ridden and scarred, to clear, smooth and even. When this product first came on the market I had been suffering from acne around my chin area for a few months. I had decided to invest in a cleansing system and watched comparisons between the Olay cleansing system and the clarisonic. Most reviews claimed the two products to be almost identical - aside from the $150+ price difference!

I only use the Olay cleansing system in the evening after using a cleansing oil and soft cloth to remove my make up. I then apply my Clarins foaming cleanser to my face and go in with the Olay. The system has 2 settings at different speeds and I move it around my face on the slowest setting, focusing on the chin area.

I put this product to the test by cleansing my face with both a cleansing oil and foaming cleanser, and then rinsed it as if I was about to tone and moisterise. Instead, I applied more cleanser with the Olay system and the white head was tainted brown with make up! This is incredibly gross to me as I would previously have slept with this make up still on my face.

After using the Olay cleansing system for over two months, my skin is now completely clear. The results are amazing and I will continue to use this amazing product.

*I used other products such as Lush face masks to improve my skin but the Olay cleansing system certainly contributed.

I had high hopes for this beauty gadget and so far it’s reached those and more. My pores are evening out and my skin condition is much better than it was before I started using it.

The soft rotating brush isn’t aggravating to my skin, it works very well with the Natio Foaming Cleanser I’m using. The Olay one that came in the box is sitting in my bathroom cupboard in case I need it in an emergency, I far prefer natural products though.

Make sure your hair is off your face as it can get caught up in the brush, it doesn’t hurt but it’s inconvenient.

Use water - that sounds obvious but one dampening of the brush won’t do it for you. Lather up and then add more water and the foaming will begin.

It’s actually very calming and refreshing to use. It did feel a little odd the first time I used it but my skin feels so super clean and squeeky afterwards and it’s so well prepared for the next step in my routine (toning with Trilogy Mist Toner) and then an application of the MitoQ serum. After that I use either the Plantae Fruit and Seed Serum. All in all a good routine and the brush really does prepare my skin for that. I wake up in the mornings with much softer skin.

A very basic and simple machine to put together and use. Inside the box was a soft brush, a small tube of cleanser, batteries and the hand held machine itself. Has two speed settings of High and Low. So you while your face is wet you spread the cleanser all over your face then choosing a speed let the brush gently glide over your face avoiding the eye area. Cleanse for about one minute then rinse off. The cream had it's own ex foliating bits in it. The instructions didn't say that I couldn't use it every day and so I did wonder if I was over doing it. I have used it for more than a week now and I haven't had any reactions but I did experience a slight tingling and slight redness in the beginning. After work I get home and remove my wakeup with remover so when I used the cleansing machine afterwards, I was surprised to find how much make-up was on the brush afterwards, which proved to me to be more efficient at cleansing. The manufacturers claim it cleans four times better than normal cleansing and I have to say I agree. I really didn't visually see any significant changes to my skin (old sunspots haven't faded) but it does feel better and smoother than before and my moisturiser glides on and soaks into my skin rather than sitting on my face. Not much cleanser in the tube so I had to use my own cleanser which worked just as well. It felt rather like I was having a nice facial massage every time I used it, especially liked the feeling when I did around my lips and eyebrow area. My nose which is prone to blackheads is thoroughly clean and blackhead free. I am very pleased with this useful device which I can pack into my toilet bag for those overnight trips.

I've been using the Cleansing System for about a month now, and I have noticed a big difference in the texture of my skin, it's become so much smoother and I've noticed my pores have gotten smaller, which is something I read could happen when using this product. It's just so easy to use!

so i got this the other week and im in love i suffer from acne and this has really helped to clean my pores deeper, i have noticed a dramtical differrence in the suppleness of my skin

I've seen all the hype around clarisonic cleansing brushes and have always wanted to try one but I just can't justify the price! So when I saw this on special for $25 and had seen so many positive reviews (and mention that it's similar to a clarisonic) I jumped at giving this a go.

I've been only using mine for 2 weeks, i use it twice a week. I tried the cleanser that came with it but I wasn't too fussed on that so have been using my Michael Todd Tropical Scrub instead. The combo is a dream! It leaves my face looking clearer and sooooo smooth!

The brush is quite soft and it has 2 speeds. I find it super relaxing and tend to use it for more then the specified time (tsk tsk).

I have not had any skin sensitivity or redness from using this, and I am prone to skin sensitivity if a product is too rough or abrasive.

I am really glad I brought this!

UPDATE I'm on week 3 and I an definitely see a vast improvement in my skin, my pores around my nose are reduced to barely noticeable. I've had a few blind spots on my chin finally come up (they had been chilling for a while) which I think is a sort of purge from the brush. Once those clear I feel my skin is going to be at its best ever!

I think the Olay Regenerist Advances Cleansing System may be the single best thing I have ever done for my skin. I've only been using it for just over one week, so I'll update this over time to see it's long-term effects but here's my thoughts right now.. OH MY GOD!

Firstly, I have been cursed with the WORST skin genes ever. I have had acne since I was 10 (honestly, thinking back that really is a horrible thing for anyone anyway let alone a child to go through). The result of this as a still-suffering acne-prone adult is that I have a lot of acne scars, blemishes and oily skin.

This kit comes with the cleansing brush and cleanser. It doesn't give any particular instructions on how often you should use it but I began using it twice a day and then switched to just once at the end of the day as I didn't know if even though it's gentle, twice would be too much although I didn't notice any bad effects of using it twice.

After removing makeup, I wet my face and applied the Olay exfoliating cleanser to my face. I've used other cleansers and my african black soap too and all worked fine. I actually really like the cleanser it comes with, it had small exfoliating beads, a mild scent and was gentle on the skin.

I moved the brush over my face, 20 seconds on my forehead, 20 on nose and chin and 10 on each cheek. It feels to me like the perfect level of exfoliation, not too light like some exfoliating cleansers by themselves, and not too heavy. You can actually see makeup coming away on it which is really gross but it's good knowing that with this you get it all! Once I cleansed with Cetaphil first then used it with the exfoliant and I must have forgotten to take my brow makeup off cause you could see the brush head going dark brown!

Afterwards, my skin felt soft, smooth, clean and fresh. This brush really is gentle enough that you could use it twice a day, once a day like me, or only a couple of times a week. I really can't recommend this product highly enough to everyone, it will just add that extra touch to your skincare routine and help your products work to their fullest potential. And it's a real bargain at this price!

I found this on sale for 25% off at the Warehouse, and later picked up the replacement brush heads too.

I have oily, slightly acne prone skin with big pores. I've been using certain products (mostly BHA) which helps deal with the pores and therefore don't get blackheads, luckily. However, I've found that with some of the makeup I wear that it catches in the pores or sebaceous filaments and doesn't get washed off easily, even when I double cleanse and use a wash cloth.

I've been using this with a really gentle cleanser (Plantae gel) when my makeup refuses to get thoroughly cleaned off, which is usually maybe twice a week. It's been helping me keep everything clear and smooth. I haven't found it necessary to use it every day, and would prefer to keep it to occasional use because I use chemical exfoliants and want to let those do the job rather than overdo things.

The Olay brush rotates at two different speeds, although I don't think it makes much of a difference. I mainly concentrate usage around the nose, which is where my pores are the biggest and catch the most product and debris. I also use it briefly around my chin. I feel like it's much more gentle than scrubbing with a facecloth.

It should be noted that the brush head rotates, whereas I think the Clarisonic and similar brushes vibrate, so it's not necessarily a dupe. However, it's at such a good price point that it's worth a try if you want a thorough cleanse.

The only people I wouldn't recommend this for would be those with sensitive skin, or if you know you're sensitive to manual manipulation of your skin. I also wouldn't recommend using it with physical exfoliants because it would probably be a bit too rough. Gentle does it!

I only bought this yesterday and I'm already raving about it. I've been suffering seriously dry Winter skin and a BR article prompted me to do something about it. It was on sale at The Warehouse so I picked it up. The packaging is very sleek which is true to Olay. The cleansing tool is very cool and compact. The shape resembles the Clarisonic but the heads appear to be much smaller. It comes with two batteries so you can power it up right away. It has a fast setting and a low setting which i used around my nose. I used the cleanser that came in the box on my first go. First of all this thing feels amazing on your cheeks! The head spins and rotates around your face exfoliating and massaging. You do it for around 60 seconds then rinse. Super easy and I felt a difference right away. My cheeks were baby bum smooth. I cant wait to see how It goes over the next month and if it makes a real difference to the appearance of my skin
