I've got really thin nails that are prone to splitting, in the lead up to my wedding I gave this product a go. I was skeptical at first so kept applying it every 3-4 days to try and achieve the best result possible, I was really surprised when my nails stoopped splitting and grew to a nice long length in time for the wedding. I did however stop applying it after the wedding and noticed that within a few weeks my nails were back to splitting and breaking. Back to using this product again !

Tips: If you're apply it every few days, you can sometimes get a build up that starts to crack, you just rub the edge of another nail across it and it'll flake off and you can apply more then. No need for acetone
I brought this when my nails were at their worst, they were breaking and peeling, they weren't pretty! I tried this and it did absolutely nothing for them. I still have half the bottle sitting in with my polishes. In the end I think what did work was evening primrose oil tablets and coconut oil every night.
My nails never grew then once they got to about 5mm they would snap off - then I found out I had celiac disease which is partially to blame for this - going on the gluten free diet with heaps of protein helped as did zinc pills but they would still break off (as I do alot of gardening/crafts/handwashing etc) but this has fixed the issue - they grow out full and long and are so strong. It is a bit addictive as you will need to keep using to keep up the results - I stopped applying last month and my nails started peeling badly again. It also contains formaldehyde (as do many high end nail fortifiers) so just make sure not to get it on your cuticles and use in a well ventilated area. I only use once a week under my polish and it works great. I have the matte version which gives a satin sheen but isn't too matte or shiny. Worth a try if nothing else is working.
I use this on my nails about once a month when they just need abit of a tidy up (I actually put some on last night) and it makes my nails so much healthier and shiny! They feel alot stronger and I also like to put this on sometimes before my base coat to give my nails extra strength. All in all I think it is a great product and does my nails wonders.
Tips: Apply under nail polish for extra strength
I do love this. My horrible little short nails are very brittle and break too easily. I figured that I had nothing to lose by trying this one, even with the steep price tag (I paid somewhere between $30-$40, so I am obviously shopping in the wrong price if they can be found for $24.90!).
I found in no time at all, my nails were so much stronger. Only thing is that they didn't grow much longer unfortunately (I think because I am a picker when I get anxious or nervous).
I am very impressed and will continue to use this happily.
Tips: Load up on coats each day for extra strength!
My nails were splitting but after using this product for a month they were much stronger and no longer splitting.
OPI Nail Envy can be pretty pricey here in New Zealand but it's honestly worth the spend. I had a bottle for about two or three years before it started getting too goopy to use. You have to apply it regularly to see the full effects, but it really works and gives you stronger, healthier nails that are less prone to splitting, chipping or flaking. Nice! I would apply it under my base coat every time I did my nails, and every time I took my nail polish off.
I've used Original Nail Envy for a few years now and have always found it great on my nails. I use it as a base coat on its own or under coloured polish. It really seems to strengthen my nails and protect against "snaps".
Tips: Regularly reapply it! If at some point it starts to chip off your nails etc don't peel it off - I find that Nail Envy almost "coats" the nails so well that if you start peeling it off it can take a nail layer with it. I would suggest removing it off your nails and applying a new fresh coat. Luckily it dries very quickly so reapplying is no hassle!
I use this product as a base coat on my nails before I apply the nail polish. It seem to harden my nails and I feel that this protects my nails from splitting or peeling from nail polish use. This product is a bit pricey but I find this useful for weak nails like mine. It leaves a not so smooth texture but it won't ruin the colored nail polish.
I didn't see much difference in the strength or condition of my nails. I have issues with my weak nails peeling and splitting and this didn't make any noticeable improvement to the condition of my nails. For the price you pay for Opi polish and treatments I wouldn't waste your money. The only thing I have found that helps is collagen tablets or hair skin and nail tablets available from many brands. They cost around the same and really help!
Tips: Take vitamin and mineral capsules for hair, skin and nails to improve condition of nails.
