Tried this a couple years ago when my nails started peeling but I really didn't see a difference at all. If I wore polish I still used a base coat but felt it was too thick and the polish would peel off which I wasn't very impressed with. I didn't end up using the whole bottle as it started become really thick and gloppy. I am a huge fan of OPI polish and will just to that

I was hugely disappointed with OPI with the Nail Envy as it really hasn't improved the condition of my nails at all. Which is very weird as I LOVE all OPI colours and names but this isn't really worth it. I think I will stick to my vitamin E oil for keeping my nails in tip top condition. The plus as always when it comes to OPI is that the mixture isn't sticky, the brush is perfect shape and width to paint the treatment onto your nail in 1-2 swipes.
I tried this product after some damage to my nails from acrylics, i really didnt notice a difference at all, it didnt stop my peeling or breaking,
Its quite thick especially once you apply more coats, but hey it makes a good ridge filler, so you can then use a normal lacquer to cover up horrible looking nails
I did find that it strengthened my nails to an extent, but as soon as I layered it, it turned a yellowy colour and looked gross on my nails! It is also quite a thick consistency so you definitely want to apply it as thinly as you can! I just wasn't hugely satisfied and have found other similar products that I like better, mostly due to the application being nicer. However, it doesn't chip too easily and is able to sort of be used as a base coat.
Tips: Don't put too many layers on at once, for e.g. don't put one layer on then another a couple days later, then another and another etc as it tends to yellow :/
I did an order with Smellycat and received a mini bottle of this as a gwp. I was really happy to get to try this treatment since nail treatments are the first thing I use up out of my nail polish collection and the ones I reach for the most. The mini appears to be the same in packaging as the full sized bottle except everything's smaller including the brush. This means I have to do more strokes but since the product is thin and new at this point it smooths out and leaves my nails looking shiny, especially if I buffed out my nails before applying the treatment. It doesn't seem to take more than 20 minutes to dry so if I'm just going to repaint this on every couple of days as a nail treatment it's fairly convenient to at this point. The way this is suggested to be used is that you apply on two coats to bare clean nails after pushing back your cuticles and then paint on one more layer every other day. At the end of the week you remove it and start over. Now before I started my nails were in good condition already but I like to have that bare manicured shine and if I can treat my nails at the same time it's a bonus. I painted on one coat and then another coat a couple days later and then another if the first two start chipping off, that being said if it is chipping off it isn't very noticeable as it is a clear treatment. However, I don't recommend more than three coats because the treatment does have a yellow tinge and that can show on your nails if you have too many coats of it on, this is especially true if the product has thickened plus it will take longer to dry. If you are going to use this as a base coat you can paint on two and follow that with a color as that won't show. I can't comment on whether this works to strengthen nails since my nails are already in good condition so I haven't noticed them getting stronger, but this probably helps to fortify them and give them a bit of shine.
Tips: Use as a base coat. Can be used as a top coat but there are probably other more specific top coats that would work better. If you are going to use this on it's own as a treatment don't paint on more than three coats before removing and starting again and it looks best if your nails are buffed beforehand.
After all the hype this product had I was really let down. I'm glad I didn't pay the full price! It didn't make a visible difference to my nails at all. I just use it as a basic base coat now so it's not a complete waste.
I didn't see much difference in the strength or condition of my nails. I have issues with my weak nails peeling and splitting and this didn't make any noticeable improvement to the condition of my nails. For the price you pay for Opi polish and treatments I wouldn't waste your money. The only thing I have found that helps is collagen tablets or hair skin and nail tablets available from many brands. They cost around the same and really help!
Tips: Take vitamin and mineral capsules for hair, skin and nails to improve condition of nails.
i bought this as my nails split due to the cold weather during winter and i had followed the instructions for a solid month but found that it doesn't do what it says. Instead i found that because there were so many layers, i would rip the tips of my nails as they snagged on things. However i use this as a base coat and found it helped my polish stick on longer. Not a complete waste of money there. I also have the matte version and i can safely say that the matte version is so much better. I will not be repurchasing this
I brought this when my nails were at their worst, they were breaking and peeling, they weren't pretty! I tried this and it did absolutely nothing for them. I still have half the bottle sitting in with my polishes. In the end I think what did work was evening primrose oil tablets and coconut oil every night.
As far as treatments go, this did very little for my damaged nails. I have nails that peel very easily, so I was hoping this would strengthen them so I could grow them out a bit. On recommendation from a staff member at the pharmacy, I bought a mini bottle to try out. I followed all instructions perfectly and there was no noticeable difference. OPI's mini bottles are so small it only lasted two full two-week applications so there is a possibility a more extended treatment would have worked better. It was good to use as a basecoat though, smoothed my nails out and held up well.
Tips: Don't waste money on the mini bottle!
