I absolutely love OPIs amazing range of colours, they always have shades that I struggle to find in other brands so for that I applaud them! However I do feel it chips very easily, even when I am wearing a top coat it doesn't seem to prevent this. I also find with a lot of their shades you need to build the layers up quite a bit to get the best colour which then makes chipping more common! If it wasn't for those factors OPI would be my holy grail brand

OPI Nail Lacquer Review
Reviews
I like many girls/ladies love having my nails painted, it's a treat for me and I don't really enjoy having it done but I love the look after it's done. When I go an get a manicure or paint my nails myself, I will only use OPI. I will only go to salon's where OPI is used and I will only purchase OPI. The reason for this is, OPI is the only nail polish that lasts more than a day without chipping, I love the color range that they have and the product lasts a long time before going rancid. I keep my nail polishes in a box at the bottom of the bathroom cupboard and every time I go in there to grab a polish, I'm constantly having to through out polishes from other brands but my OPI's always last for months, years even. Therefore until another brand can compete, I will only use OPI.
Tips: Keep polishes refrigerated or in a cool dark area
Whoa, what a good product… I can’t believe I have missed out on this for years before trying! I am in awe of this product. Anyone who doesn’t believe the hype - feel free to come knocking on my door so I can talk some sense into you!! I have really nothing bad to say about this product. (Except for the price tag - but I always moan about the price…)
Okay, first of all - have you seen the range? Which one do you choose? Okay, I am feeling a bit minty today - but it has to be more of a spearmint color than a peppermint, maybe a turquoise-y spearmint? Boom… OPI has it. A Halloween orange rather than an orange orange, yup - OPI will have two different shades in that.
Secondly, the packaging… I love it. Seriously. It looks and feels expensive and it’s big and everyone looks the same to help calm my OCD. The brush is incredible, it glides on effortlessly. You can manage how much polish you want to stay on the brush.
The formula. What other word can I use to describe it? Marvelous. It doesn’t smell bad, or of some chemical substance. It has great pigmentation and the layers glide on effortlessly and without streaks. After two layers you have a very professional looking, salon manicure for a fraction of the price. No, less than a fraction - more like a needle head.
It stays on for anything up to two weeks, and chip wear only occurs on about day 5. I seriously cannot rave enough about this product. It’s absurd, staggering, unheard of, yes, it’s really REALLY that good, wonderful, magnificent…
Tips: Oh! Drying time is seriously quick... Thinnish layers will guarantee you a fast, lasting manicure.
I definitely haven't found a brand that beats OPI. They have the best colour range, and I find most colours last really well on my nails. I used to avoid buying it all the time and get cheaper polishes, only to regret my choice instantly! Now I only purchase Revlon fast dry and OPI polishes.
Tips: I find the metallic polishes tend to chip faster than the matte ones.
I have a lot of OPI nail colours, and have used them a lot over the past few years. The main reason I keep buying them is because they have some of the nicest colours that I can find and consistently update their range. However, I find that OPI chips easily, and takes a really long time to dry! I have a cheap nail polish which dries in half the time and stays on much better. Whenever I use OPI I have to use an undercoat and topcoat, just to make sure it doesn't come off the next day. My least favourite part about OPI nail polishes is that they often chip my nails away. They seem to weaken my nails quite a bit, more so than other brands. It means that I have to make a choice between OPI or short nails, and often leave gaps between painting my nails to let them recover.
Tips: Give yourself about an hour to let your nails dry before doing anything to avoid smudges.
I love opi nail polish because it comes in so many different colours and the consistency is great. Opi polish glides onto nails smoothly and evenly and it dries very fast. All the colours are fantastic there is almost every colour you could dream of. The brush is great too it is about 5mm-1cm wide or the size of your pinkie nail. When you use it you only need two strokes then your whole nail is covered. I love opi polish because it dries so fast so I don't have to worry about ruining my manicure when I do other things.
Tips: Only do thin coats because it dries faster and doesn't get thick and gloopy. Wait 45sec-1min before applying another coat Store your polish upright in a dark place. Shake it well before using
I purchased my first OPI a few years ago after hearing a friend rave on about the brand and got hooked...
There are so many great colours in OPI's range and i love that they bring out 'collections' with colours that all compliment each other. The OPI bottles are a decent size and the brush has really great coverage, only needing 2 swipes to cover your nail (although i usually tend to do 3 as that is how i was taught to do them!) The OPI formula is not too runny so it gives you a great finish after 2 coats and lasts quite well, however i dont really feel like it has any better staying power than other leading nail polish brands. With the $20-$25 price tag i usually only purchase them now if i really like the colour, as i have found a slightly cheaper brand with the same quality. In saying that i do regularly use the ones i have purchased in the past. All in all definitely a great brand that i would have no hesitation in recommending to others!
i really like how easy opi is to apply, and how quickly it dries. i found that even after months of not using it there were no clumpy parts in my bottle and it was still just as easy to apply. i am in love with the opi liquid sands
Professional colour? Tick. Amazing number of shades to choose from. But long lasting? Not so much. Even with a solid base and top coat I struggle to stop my OPI polishes chipping after a couple of days. The colours are hard to pass up but the quality just isn't there for me. Given their price you'd want them to last a little longer. Their polishes can also be really hit or miss. Some can be clumpy or streaky or unexpectedly sheer. I think I'll try stick with the minis so that way I can use them up faster and move on.
Tips: Invest in a good base and top coat, they make a world of difference!
I have purchased many OPI's in my time and have never regretted any of my purchases. The texture is great and for some reson it always hardens my nails which i find great as i have very fragile nails. i love opi and would use it over and over. The colour range is awesome too
