Shatter nail polish is a trend that seems to have come and gone, which is a shame because I think it is a great way for anyone to be able to create a more complicated looking manicure.
To use shatter polish you first put down a solid colour then once that has dried put the shatter colour on top. It goes on like a normal nail polish but then immediately begins to shatter over the nail. You can either apply the shatter coat thinly for thinner lines of thick if you want thicker lines.
It's a really cool concept and OPI has led the way in terms of the quality of the nail polish. However at the end of the day, it does still chip like any other nail polish. It didn't leave my nails yellow however, so for me that raises it above the other brands.
I dont really like shatter so im not sure if that effects my opinion of this product but I found it hard to use. It went kind of chalky looking when dry and pooled in areas more then others. I have black, so a tricky colour to use but for me it just didnt work! I paid $8 at The Warehouse so not full price but still I wont use it again. The bottle like all OPI is a nice design and very sturdy.
Tips: Try blowing on them, to help it set a bit better.
