I loved opi shatter at first but its a lot harder to do than you would think. you also have to have a color underneath which sometimes messes with the look of the nail polish. Its nice if you have the time and do it right.

Tips: make sure the under color is completely dry before adding shatter
I had high hopes when the Shatter polish was released as it looked like it would be amazing. I was a little disappointed with the product though as the polish shatters differently depending on whether you do a heavy coat or a light coat and I found most of the times I would have a mix of nails that looked amazing and some that would look so bad I would need to re-do them. This was probably me just being picky but it was annoying. I also found out that if the dried layer on the rim of the bottle flakes into the polish it can cause the shatter to stop working and unfortunately this happened to my black after only being used 2 or 3 times. It is a very good idea for a nail polish but it was a bit disappointing for me.
The final look of the nail Polish is great it cracks really well and does what it is supposed to except I have found with my black one it gets so gluggy and sets before i have painted the whole nail which stuffs it up a bit :(
Tips: Get the shatter on as quick as possible !
I recently got one of these from a friend of mine and I couldn't wait to try it. But to be honest I was kind of dissapointed, I hoped it would work much better then it did and there are nail (shatter) polishes better than this at this price. The shatter effect did not work that well, but applying more made it look worse :/
I have the black shatter polish and while it pretty much does what it says, you have to be careful and make sure you apply is relatively thinly! When I used it, the black came out kinda gross and didn't realise that it's better to use way less or it won't shatter! It does take time and effort to make sure you get it right because you have to apply a base polish to ensure it works! However, maybe a lighter colour would've been more forgiving!
Tips: Apply thinly - less is definitely more!
I got the red OPI shatter and it is quite neat as you get a lot of looks out of it depending on what colour you use on the bottom. It definitely looks better when you just put a thin layer on, and its neat how each nail ends up slightly different.
Tips: Make sure your base coat has completely dried to get the best look and apply the OPI shatter thinly.
This product was really nice if you got it right! The problem I had was I was never able to get it that way, I found the polish to be uneven and even lumpy at times.
When i first saw this i had to try, now im not a big fan of the cracked look so wouldn't repurchase. It went on nice and evenly and lasted awhile too even longer with a top coat, but i found if i hadnt let my bottom colour of nail polish dry for a few hours sometimes that wiould also crack and look quite tacky, it worked really well when i used an opi nail polish on the bottom if i was going for the two toned effect. If your into the funky cracked look this is defintely something i would recommend.
Tips: If your going for a two toned cracked look make sure you let your bottom color layer dry for a couple of hours, also for the bottom layer i found using opi worked best (probably because opi is good quaility) and top coat it! lasts so much longer
OPI Shatter nail polish, I remember that was the hype when they first came out. Everyone went crazy for them and I was one of those people. I mustve had like almost 10, all different coloured shatter, all blew my mind. I think the OPI Shatter nail polish is definitely very cool, very edgy and gets people looking which is always good. I just believe I've grown out of that phase of my life and now tend to stay more towards pastel and calm nail designs :)
Tips: When applying the shatter coat onto the nail, be sure to be as still as possible as it works best with just one coat. Two coats starts to mess the shatter look up abit.
I like the shatter effect and found it easy to apply myself at home. I did find that the white did not work as well as the silver and black shatter I purchased. An easy and affordable option if you don't want to go to a salon for a different look.
Tips: Keep an eye out for specials, even the Warehouse sells this and can be really cheap sometimes.
