I was a big hater of nail shatter polishes to begin with so this was probably written in the stars that I would hate it. I didn't want to hate it though! I wanted (and to be honest expected) OPI to blow my negative shatter thoughts out the window. No luck! 9 times out of 10 I ended up with a blob of nail polish that barely "shattered" it just blobbed :( Maybe there is a knack to this I am missing? But I can easily see why it ends up in the bargain bin in The Warehouse. And still not a bargain.

Tips: Just don't bother, it's not worth it.
Now that my nails are finally growing I really love trying new polish. I got the shatter polish in white thinking it would look mod and sophisticated. I found that I couldn't achieve an even looking 'shatter'. One nail would look ok, but the rest blobby and not at all classy looking! Wether I didn't have my technique right I am not sure? Had another go but gave up. Think I will stick to tried and true polishes. Just not worth it, even from a reputable brand.
Apparently, I am like a bull in a china shop when it comes to OPI and nail polishes.
I LOVE OPI! But I dont pay attention to what I buy haha!
I accidentally bought a lovely silver OPI, was nice, understated but brings a bit of bling.
I loved it! Then it dried and shattered? Well, what the heck, I was NOT expecting that! You'd think that the brush lid would have given it away! But not to this blind eejit!
While I was expecting it, and it took a while to get used to, I really liked it!
Tips: Did you mean to buy this? YES? Excellent work already! But try putting it over a bright base coat first :-)
I got this in blue for a Christmas present and was so excited to use it. At first I absolutely loved it but after a few months it got dry and not very nice for application. Not sure if it was how i stored it or the bottle but either way I wasnt that much of a fan
I own several shades of shatter and have found some, like the black shade to look pretty amazing over the top of a bright polish. However, some of the other shades such as the red, navy and blue were watery, didn't really crack and made it look like I'd had a bad manicure, and no girl wants that!
Like everyone else I jumped on the shatter bandwagon when they first came out. I've got the black and gold and they definitely added to my collection at the time. After a few uses I found they went really gloopy and became hard to use - although a few of my OPIs have done this, these were worse. They're definitely a novelty item so I'm not too upset that they're pretty much unusable now.
I loved the effect of this nail varnish but I found it a disappointment with how gluggy the varnish become in the bottle. Pretty much useless now. Waste of money for the limited amount you get to actually wear.
I snapped this up in black when everyone was lovin' all over the shatter craze and though it did get used a bit I decided not to invest in any other shades. The formula was a bit strange, I found it needed to be applied in a fairly thick coat which needed to be done all in one go to get the desired effect. After a few uses I noticed the bottle beginning to become a gluggy, thick mess which is a bit disappointing. Without a top coat this stuff feels terrible on the nails, the texture annoys me and causes me to pick at it without realising
I pretty much have most of them and some are better than others. I love the glitter ones they go on nicely and are not too runny compared to the plain coloured ones. After a while the silver shatter started to thicken and was unusable but before that was really nice.
Tips: Make sure to do only one coat. If you do more than one coast especially with the thin colour ones it won't shatter properly and just look watery.
I have most of the colours in the shatter range. I tend to use them along with other nail art i do, for example one or 2 accent nails, or just on the tips! I think they are fun to use this way. I like the way the polish shatters and no 2 fingers will look the same, its very unique but I wouldn't put them on all 10 fingers thou!
Tips: Wait till your base colour is completely dry before applying the shatter.
