So this says what is does and i loved it when it came out but once the bottle is open it really only lasts a short period of time before it doesn't shatter properly and goes clumpy mine lasted about a month.

Tips: Keep nail polish in the fridge makes it last longer
i loved the shattered look because you can change ur base colour and it would be a different change. The base colour has to be completely dry and have a couple coats on it, before you apply the shatter coat over it.
I honestly like the shatter range. It's super easy to use and when i have an old chipped mani on that i can't be stuffed redoing, i just chuck on a layer of shatter to give my nails an omph of life. The things that suck about OPI shatter is that they get gloopy fast and seperate in the bottle. The other downside is that for a bottle of OPI shatter, it is $25NZD, whereas there are dupes by cheaper brands like L.A. girl where they sell it for half the price
When OPI first introduced them, I just had to have one. I've got the red, black and pink shade. I really like what it does, crackles u the colours and gives it a different look compared to basic nail polish. After the phase wore out from OPI, I can honestly say I am no longer interested, it looks cheap and tacky. I think il just sick to my basic OPI top coat thanks!
Tips: Using a clear top coat over the shatters give it an even more shinier look then dried out.
I was initially obsessed with the pink shatter, but I've owned it for ages and haven't touched it in well over a year. I'm not sure if it was storage but last time I used it was all gluggy and horrible to apply, the shatter looked streaky and I am simply over the look of it. Definitely a pass now
Tips: Always use a clear top coat with shatters, otherwise they tend to disappear.
Tried it a few times and not overly fussed on it.. It looked streaky I didn't understand what all the fuss was about.. Wouldn't buy again
Tips: I did find a couple of clear coats over top would make the shatter stand out more
I own all the metallic, sparkly shatter polishes in this range and I must admit, I haven't touched them in months. I have always loved them over a black base polish as they would stand out a lot more but even so, I find the end result looks a bit disappointing. The last time I opened a bottle it had turned gluggly, which also doesn't leave me impressed.
Tips: I find if you love more classy designs when it comes to your nails, this product probably isn't right for you. Unless you love experimenting and are into edgy sort of looks :)
Like most of OPI nail polishes the shatters chip off at the drop of a hat. I had chips on most of my nails within hours. Not really good enough for the expensive price you pay. It did have a shattered finish but the shatter was quite messy and no better than the shatters you could buy from the $2 shop years ago. In my opinion the only thing that OPI has going for it is the huge range or colors and the celebrity endorsements. think I will stick with better quality nail polish brands such as ORLY and China Glaze.
Tips: Do not buy unless you like the chipped nails look. The colors are beautiful but just dont last, even with minimal use of my hands!
This product is often a little gluggy and difficult to apply but the effect is good and the speed of drying time is worth the slightly tricky application.
Tips: Use a very small amount on your brush to get a more pronounced crackle.
When these first came out I purchased almost every colour they had. I still have them and they are still usable, so I guess the shelf life of these is amazing. The down side is that they are hard to use. The shatter must be applied on top of a completely dry layer of nail polish preferably in a contrasting colour. If the shatter is applied to thick it will not shatter if applied to thin it will just coat the base colour and not shatter either. To add to that you need to do the whole nail in one sweep you cannot go over it at all or it does not work. A delicate fine line between fantastic and failure! When you get it right it looks great if you get it wrong it looks cheap and tacky!
Tips: Apply a clear top coat to avoid chipping and peeling.
