I like the shatter effect and found it easy to apply myself at home. I did find that the white did not work as well as the silver and black shatter I purchased. An easy and affordable option if you don't want to go to a salon for a different look.

Tips: Keep an eye out for specials, even the Warehouse sells this and can be really cheap sometimes.
I loved opi shatter at first but its a lot harder to do than you would think. you also have to have a color underneath which sometimes messes with the look of the nail polish. Its nice if you have the time and do it right.
Tips: make sure the under color is completely dry before adding shatter
I have purchased/been gifted a number of shatter OPI's and have to say I am not very impressed with them.
I find that some of them look really tacky and it does take a bit of practice to get the right amount of polish on in order for them to shatter with a nice look to them.
You need just a base covering- too thin and it shatters too much/ you cant see the colour very well. Too much and it hardly shatters and just looks messy.
The other problem I found was that after really short amounts of time the nailpolish went gluggy and unusable in its jar. This was something I found for all my 4 shatter polishes.
Tips: They work but not for a long time, practice on yours or someone elses nails to get the amount of polish right.
At first, everyone was all about shatter polish and so I went out and got a few OPI shatter polishes.
I found them rather hard to work with, yes it became easier and looked better with practice but I still didn't completely get the look I was expecting or wanting.
One thing that completely annoyed me was after paying the ridiculous amount for each polish they went gluggy and dried very quickly.
Tips: Don't give up on them, practice is the key with the product or even look on youtube for those extra tips and tricks.
I wouldnt try this nail polish again yea it cracks but not as good as it says it does and it dosent last that long very dissapointed
Mehhhh... everybody talked about these nail polishes for quite a while but I never really toke interest in them. It is pretty easy to stuff up. Doesn't really appeal to me. It's okay. Doesn't actually shatter a lot, it shatters a small amount as what the product advertises. But yeah it's okay. Not worth the 25 dollars though, you can get them cheaper online and in sales
Tips: Do not apply more than one coat because it doesn't shatter.
When done right it looks awesome however I had trouble getting it to look nice found it a bit fiddly.
Tips: Make sure the bottom colour is fully dry before using the OPI shatter over top.
love this shatter nail polish does exactly what it says it does and creates a cool different look. heaps of awesome colours to choose from too
I had high hopes when the Shatter polish was released as it looked like it would be amazing. I was a little disappointed with the product though as the polish shatters differently depending on whether you do a heavy coat or a light coat and I found most of the times I would have a mix of nails that looked amazing and some that would look so bad I would need to re-do them. This was probably me just being picky but it was annoying. I also found out that if the dried layer on the rim of the bottle flakes into the polish it can cause the shatter to stop working and unfortunately this happened to my black after only being used 2 or 3 times. It is a very good idea for a nail polish but it was a bit disappointing for me.
I have tried applying this by myself once, and it was a disaster! Because it dries rather fast, you have to get it right on the first application or it becomes really thick and the effect doesn't look good. When done correctly, I really like the shatter effect and have gotten it done at a nail salon several times. My favourite shatter is the silver one. I wouldn't recommend trying to apply this on by yourself.
