When shatter first became big , i just had to give it ago! i got red , light blue, black and gold . The black just went all thick and pretty much took over the nail polish under it .. if im honest it did not look good at all! The blue, gold and red were all very thin so i ended up just giving them away after what happened with the black, i luckily brought these from the warehouse so they didn't cost me $25 each . I would never buy this nail polish again , it was so over hyped!

I didnt think it was possible for there to be an OPI polish that I didnt like..... I was wrong. It was gloopy and thick and didnt look 'shattered' rather chipped off. Really disappointed.
I couldn't get this stuff to look nice, not matter how many try's :( Good colour choices BUT why won't it look pretty??? Asked friends and they couldn't get the look either. To me it's really not a look to wear especially when working with the public
I hated these nail polishes! Only worked as soon as you bought them, as they dried up really fast and went all gross and didn't work. Were massively overhyped when they were first released, but I don't like the look any more.
Now that my nails are finally growing I really love trying new polish. I got the shatter polish in white thinking it would look mod and sophisticated. I found that I couldn't achieve an even looking 'shatter'. One nail would look ok, but the rest blobby and not at all classy looking! Wether I didn't have my technique right I am not sure? Had another go but gave up. Think I will stick to tried and true polishes. Just not worth it, even from a reputable brand.
The shatter effect was unnoticeable and I felt it looked like a tacky job done by a three year old. Would not use again.
I expected sooo much from this product especially because it is OPI - and OPI is of very good quality. This however was very disappointing.
I tried it the first time, applying a very thin coat, but it applied like a normal nail polish colour that was transparent - it didn't "shatter" but it cracked very faintly so that it looked like I had a poor manicure job.
I then attempted it a second time applying a thick coat. While this did shatter, I was unimpressed with the quality. One or two cracked lines here and there- very poor quality.
Don't even bother attempting to put two coats on - because that is just a waste of time.
I will however say that, the black and white shatter works MUCH MUCH better than the red, silver or blue ones.
If you want a cheaper, better quality alternative, I recommend LA Girl Cracked effects polish.
Tips: For best results, you want to make sure that you apply the correct amount of polish - not too little, but not a too much. It will take practice to see what amount makes the best shatter.
i hate this nail polish, it chips off so easy and never looks good. i brought two bottles and have used both of them a few times but i cant stand it, every time i look at them theres less and less polish there! why even waste your time
Tips: dont buy it and avoid dissapointment
I thought the hype or these was well overated when they first came on the market , when I got around to actually using a shatter nail polish the outcome was nothing like the pictures you see on the net I think these are probably best used by a professional.
why did I buy one of these! What was I thinking? i have one word for it . GROSS. It just looks tacky to me and like you have chipped nails just no! nononononono!!!!
