I have to admit I jumped on this bandwagon when it came out and I LOVED it, but I would have to say it has definitely done its time and I wouldn't purchase this any more. I found that the product could get quite gluggy, and application wasn't consistent, it could either to too thick, or too thin. Was okay when bottle was brand new though. The product does work pretty well however!

I was initially obsessed with the pink shatter, but I've owned it for ages and haven't touched it in well over a year. I'm not sure if it was storage but last time I used it was all gluggy and horrible to apply, the shatter looked streaky and I am simply over the look of it. Definitely a pass now
Tips: Always use a clear top coat with shatters, otherwise they tend to disappear.
It's pretty average. It clumps up super easily as it drys fast and it is a lot of effort to get it on the nail. I'd save your money and buy dollar store shatter polish as it works a lot better.
OPI is my favourite Nail Polish however Shatter is really only good for a night out. It can sometimes make your nails look a bit ratty if you apply it too thick.
got the blue one and for the first one or two times it was great. . . IF you put it over another colour. cannot put ontop of your natural nail. went to go use it again and it had gone very thick to the point where I couldn't use it. it does it look good one but there are better ones out there that don't cost so much
I purchased five Opi nail polishes at once. If you are wanting a one to two day job for this to work you will not be dissatisfied. Any longer you will be disappointed. The color range available is very nice, ranging from clear to metallic colors and also that good old favorite, black. Naturally the black makes any under color you apply look fabulous. You absolutely need at least one (maybe two) bottles of the clear polish, as this sets the finish and certainly makes your nails shine and gleam. So overall, great for a one maybe two day/night job, but other than that, the flaking will certainly appear by day three.
Tips: Always apply a clear coat as the base to make removing easier, and by doing this you reduce the risk of your bottom color staining your nails.
It's okay. It does what it says it does. But let's be honest - this ship has sailed and shatter isn't cool any more. That didn't last long, did it?! I found my shatters started going horrible in the jar after just a few uses! too. All clogged up around the top and hard to get out. I've never had nail varnish do this before?! My 5 year old daughter likes it, so I just use it on her now.
Tips: Use a thin layer for lots of crackle effect. Putting too much on means it doesn't shatter properly and looks stupid.
I bought a couple of these in gold and another in green. I actually really loved the look of both, but they go gluggy and crusty after about two uses. It's also really difficult to apply them in a consistent manner and gave your nails all look great. I found some would look stubbing, and then others would ge either streaky or really bunchy and blotchy. Great in theory, but the execution not quite so sound.
Tips: Top coat top coat top coat!! It's so rough that I foundmy nnails would snsg really easily, and the polish is more likely to chip because it sets kinda jagged.
I own several shades of shatter and have found some, like the black shade to look pretty amazing over the top of a bright polish. However, some of the other shades such as the red, navy and blue were watery, didn't really crack and made it look like I'd had a bad manicure, and no girl wants that!
I used to like this product but am kind of over it and think its gone out of fashion. But does look nice as tips only or a feature nail
Tips: use quite quickly as it can go gluggy and dry up
