I remember when everyone did their nails like this! My white is my favorite because it looks good against any other base colour but i find it hard to get the perfect amount on the nail. Apply to much and the shatter doesn't work but apply to little and it just looks silly. I really like how you get quite alot in the OPI bottles and the polish dries reasonably fast so there's no waiting around. I haven't used any of the shatter colours since they stopped being popular because alot of the 'older folk' have made comments (especially on the white) on how it looks like you've just put correction fluid all over your nails. I have the colours white, red and blue.

Tips: Make sure you apply it evenly and not to much.
I am so confused as to why there was such a massive hype about this product!? It never works on my nails it looks clumpy and doesn't have the nice shatter look that I had expected from looking at pictures. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong but this product really doesn't do what it's ment to and I would most probably never use it again.
When done right it looks awesome however I had trouble getting it to look nice found it a bit fiddly.
Tips: Make sure the bottom colour is fully dry before using the OPI shatter over top.
I was quite disappointed with this product. LOVED the idea and was really wanting it to be good however I found it hard to apply the right amount, too little and it would not shatter properly and too much and it would just not shatter at all. It was really hard to get the right amount so would end up having to repeat some nails and it just got too frustrating...
Let's start with the negatives I don't like the concept of this. To me it seems like your nails are chipped and I don't feel it is a sophisticated look. On the other hand if this is the look for you I do think OPI is the best brand out there I have tried to achieve this look. It goes on smooth and cracks evenly as long as you use another opi underneath. The polish does last a decent amount of time.
Tips: Don't apply to much or too little because then the cracks will either not be there at all or will just competently crack into little horrible looking chipped nails
I will start off saying that I don't knownignit was me and my 'technique' or of this is just crap but I wasn't impressed with the look after. I spent the 15 dollars I read instructions and it looked like ass. Not what I was expecting especially because of all the hype around this product. I will never stray from my usual 'boring' plain nail polish again. Lesson learnt!
I have the shatters in black, turquoise and pink. The pink is the only one that I found shattered properly. The turquoise is gorgeous but for me it only ever cracks in about 1 place on the nail, which isn't the effect I desired. The black is the worst, it was really thick when I opened it and because it is so thick, it never dried for me and just sat there all sticky on my nail. I only used the black several times and now the whole bottle is completely dried and caked up, the nail polish has separated from the sides and even nail polish thinner wouldn't be able to salvage it. It's basically now an empty bottle with a small ball of rock hard polish, so disappointing. With such a really expensive price, you can find a much cheaper one that works better.
Tips: Use nail thinner on them when they are new as they are quite thick and sticky.
Like the title says, I find this very hard to get the shatter to work properly; like I don't want to put too much polish but then I don't want to under use and this is my problem. I think that if you're a beginner, then it's best to stay clear cause you're just wasting your money. But if you are a pro, then this should be no sweat for you. I only have the white one and It looks great if you've done it right!
When shatter nail polish was all the rage I bought this in black as black looks great with everything. And it did it worked really well for a while but once it got older and I used it less, the liquids inside the bottle started separating and even after shaking well didn't shatter anywhere near as well as it did at the start. Also it took really long to dry.
This is the only OPI that I am not a fan of, I did really enjoy this when it came out as it is very fun to use but got over it pretty quickly. My bottle also dried out extremely fast so was pretty disappointed.
Tips: Don't pay full price, not worth it.
