It claims it is a nail polish that give a shattered effect and it does exactly that.
I have have the white, black and gold. The gold is my favourite and it looks great over a coral peach colour for something a bit different. I really didn't end up liking the black or the white.
In terms of lasting - only a few days, just like any other OPI nail polish. OPI doesn't last any longer than any other nail polish I own in my opinion.
The formula is quite thick so you have to be quick at applying or it goes gluggy.
One coat is all you need of the shatter polish. It gives the best effect with one coat - two coats make it separate/shatter really thick lines which doesn't look any good.
I wont be repurchasing any more shatter polishes - I think they have had their day in the sun.
I have purchased/been gifted a number of shatter OPI's and have to say I am not very impressed with them.
I find that some of them look really tacky and it does take a bit of practice to get the right amount of polish on in order for them to shatter with a nice look to them.
You need just a base covering- too thin and it shatters too much/ you cant see the colour very well. Too much and it hardly shatters and just looks messy.
The other problem I found was that after really short amounts of time the nailpolish went gluggy and unusable in its jar. This was something I found for all my 4 shatter polishes.
Tips: They work but not for a long time, practice on yours or someone elses nails to get the amount of polish right.
