OPI was one of the first nail polish brands to bring us a quality version of the shatter look. Cheaper ranges have disappointed me trying to do what OPI does best. I really liked what the OPI version did but the shatter look was a passing fad and it has sat unused in my collection for years.

Tips: Plaster it on thick! A thin coat won't give you the desired effect.
I was expecting good things from this as it is from o.p.i but was very disappointed with it. It didn't go on that smoothly and didn't look good at all. I have tried other brands which are cheaper and worked much better.
Tried this and found that the "shatter" part makes the nail looks dirty or something. I love most of OPI range - but nah for this one.
I was quite disappointed by this product. You have to have certain colours for it to have a good impact which means having to buy even more nail polish (nice one OPI) You also cant use a top coat otherwise the shatter smudges and looks terrible. You have to be careful when applying cause i found the shatter can turn out clumpy. I found it totally wasn't worth the stress of applying it.
Not impressed at all? Messy and ugly looking nails. I think I just prefer the smooth finished looking nails.
Tips: If you have small nails it just looks unfinished and messy.
I purchased a few colours black, white and blue. I used the black a few times but then it turned thick and hard to apply. I had trouble applying it where all nails actually looked good. Some wouldn't crack and overall it just frustrated me and I will never use them again.
Tips: Spend your money on a nice OPI colour, not a shatter.
Like some of the other reviewers, I wasn't impressed with its staying power. I also felt like it was a bit tacky looking, the idea of it was really cool but the actual product... not so much.
I'd try it with a top coat and that did help for getting it to last, but it still wasn't really my style. I'm glad I only bought one to try and didn't buy a set.
Tips: Using a top coat does help to make it last longer.
I wouldnt try this nail polish again yea it cracks but not as good as it says it does and it dosent last that long very dissapointed
I bought this when it was new out & everyone was wearing it. Only used it once & once was enough. The polish didn't shatter very well & didn't give the desired affect.
I purchased the OPI shatter polish in white, black and blue when they became popular and I honestly haven't used them very much since. The white one is so strong or the base is so thin that it soak up the under coat color. The black one is okay but is so soft after applying that even after applying a top coat it easily scratches off. The blue one didn't shatter at all which was very very odd. I wouldn't purchase any more of the OPI shatter products and I won't personally use them on my nails again. Positively, when applied it does look good - but as I said, it doesn't stay on long.
