Just okay.

Doesn't do much at all. It is hydrating but definitely does nothing for dark circles. There are better creams than this.

Average eye cream

I have been a fan of origins since my late teens and have always used there products, coming in to my mid 20s though I am showing signs of premature ageing and unfortunately fine lines under my eyes is one of those signs. I have been using this eye cream for over three months now and whilst im only half way through the little tub, my fine lines are showing no improvement. Yes it does hydrate and give your eyes a nice little sheen but other than that it does nothing. So I wouldn't recommend this eye cream if you were going after it to specifically help with ageing, but if you are looking for something light and hydrating then it may be for you.

Not too sure what it does?

I got this as a free sample, a little tube about half a year ago. I've been using it since, pretty much every night for the past 6 months. It smooths on nicely, has a nice light smell that's not too over-powering, and it didn't really irritate my eyes - for the first few days it felt a little warm under my eyes, but then I gradually went away. This little tube is amazing in the sense that I still haven't finished it in half a year, but I don't really see much difference. I don't really have much of a fine line problem (touch wood) yet, I have slight dark circles which this didn't do anything, and puffiness wasn't too dreadful but didn't look tighter either. It's like a normal face lotion and can't say it's made enough difference for me to go out and buy one.

On the fence

I received a trial size of this from Mecca and I do like Origins products so was excited to give it a go. A little goes a long way so even though it’s not the cheapest eye cream on the market, the jar should last for ages. It’s a nice light cream consistency and it has a slight peachy tone to it. It is easy to apply and really does brighten up the under eye area. Unfortunately that was all it seems to do! It doesn’t mesh well with my concealer (and I’ve tried many) and isn’t moisturising for me at all. This is more suited to someone that doesn’t yet require help with fine lines but just a brightening cream. I don’t dislike this product at all but being in my late 30’s I need something that really packs a moisturising punch. I won’t purchase this again

Origin GinZing Light, Eyecream for Mornings

I shopped quite a bit with Origins official brand site because I was interested in another eye cream they stock that has sunscreen and hasn't been stocked in New Zealand yet. Now in the process of shopping there and scoring good deals I scored a couple deluxe tubes of this which is nice because I really wanted to try this and see what I difference it would make to my eyes. The answer is only a tiny bit.

This cream is light and absorbs quickly so it does give your under eyes a nice bit of hydration. I like to apply a couple layers of a light eye cream in the morning under my spf one to make the fine lines a less noticeable. It does have a peach undertone and possibly some mica because it has a bit of sheen which I guess brightens the area a tiny, weeny bit. Now as far as decreasing puffiness I haven't seen this do much and it's too light for me to consider using this as an eyecream at night.

I do like that it has natural ingredients and I guess the addition of coffee is beneficial in theory but I haven't seen it do much of a difference. I like the texture for the mornings as I like eyecreams that sink in an hydrate as my spf eyecream has physical sunscreen and that is supposed to sit on top. I haven't had a problem wearing makeup over this, of course my concealer creases at some point like it does with all my eyecreams.

Don't think I'll be purchasing this as I don't think it's worth the high price tag, granted a little goes a long way so if you do get this it will last you a long time but then so will most eyecreams. I think I can find something cheaper that can perform just as well.

Tips: This is best suited for the mornings as if you have dry under eyes you might want something more nourishing and moisturizing at night. I recommend applying little layers as this absorbs really fast and can help minimize the appearance of teensy, tiny fine lines temporarily.

I was expecting more.

I had heard really great reviews, and as someone with constant dark under eyes, I was naturally really excited to try this and bought some after visiting Sephora. I have to say for the price and the hype it didn't really deliver. I guess my expectations may have been too high for the effects I was anticipating? It's a nice under eye creme for daily use but it's not overly effective and the smells...meh. It's not good or bad I feel you could achieve the same results with something much cheaper.

Refreshing and Hydrating

Feels super light and hydrating upon application, glides on and soaks into under eyes immediately. Very soothing on puffy eyes. The cream has a pearlescent sheen which sort of leaves a slight shimmer on the skin, other than this I don’t think it does much for brightening dark circles.

A refreshing and cooling eye cream

This light eye cream is lovely and soothing on tired and puffy eyes. It’s scent free and sinks into your undereye area quickly meaning you can apply just before applying your makeup. Being that I’m experiencing fine lines and signs of ageing around my eyes I’m looking for an eye cream that will help reduce those signs. This eye cream is better suited to someone in their twenties I feel and I imagine would be heavenly in summer kept in the refrigerator. A tube will last you forever also, I’ve had two sample sized tubes of this and both have lasted me over a month each. A lovely eye cream just not suited to my ageing skin

It's good but not overly crazy about it

After receiving a sample of this eye cream, which wasn't big enough to get a true feeling of the product I decided during a Mecca Origin splurge to purchase the full size, I had just ran out of my ever faithful midnight oil eye cream so was needing a new cream.

The packaging as with all Origins products is pretty and sturdy, the orange colour glass makes an adorable addition to my nightstand. Texture of the eye cream is a creamy gel so it is thick that only a small dot is needed under each eye, even then it was a little too rich for my eyes and ended up using a small dot for both eyes.

It made my drier areas more hydrated, and the bags were lessen as the days went on, but the blueness remained and did find that some mornings my eye area was still greasy suggesting that the product was too heavy to fully absorb into my skin so for that I can tell you now this is going to be amazing for more maturer skin types who have crepe dry skin around the eyes and its hydrating ability is really going to plump that area up and I did see some plumping going on my fine lines to the side of my eyes so that is a huge bonus.

Refreshing zing, nah didn't really experience that whilst using this eye cream but it is good never the less.

Brightening, sits well under make up

I love this, it's a ncie colour blends well, goes a long way not too expensive for high end product and great actives. It really helps minimise fine lines for me.
