No fireworks for me..

Christmas time is the highlight of my year, not because of the bonus holidays or the mass amounts of food (although I love those things as well), but because that is when Lush release their Limited edition Christmas items. (It's the little things in life).

I always pick up a few Christmas gifts packs, and for some reason this bath bomb seems to be in almost all of them.. and I literally have no idea why.

This bath bomb in tiny, about the size of a big cake pop, and about half the size (if not less) of a normal Lush bath bomb. It is mostly yellow in colour, and has red little sprinkle bits of top.

When you add this to the bath, its a bit disappointing. Its fizzes around, and turns the water a pee yellow colour (I'm sorry for that description, but its the best way to describe it). The red sprinkle bits do crackle and sound like a fire (for about 5 seconds), and that's it.

I just feel really disappointed by this bath bomb. It is tiny, and doesn't do much to a bath tub full of water. I won't be buying this product again (unless it is in a gift box), and if it is in a gift box, I will be passing it along.

No baby you don't light my fire

These bath bombs seemed to have been in every Christmas gift pack last year so I ended up with a fair few of them.

These bath bombs are probably the smallest out of all the bath bombs close to half the size smaller than the bigger more traditional bath bombs. It is an orange/yellow colour with red popping candy on top. I pop it in the bath and start feeling a little underwhelmed, turning the bath water a slight shade of yellow. The popping candy goes to town and you can easily hear the popping candy crack and pop away.

Feeling slightly meh about this bath bomb I throw in another one for good measure. But still I don't like it. (Sorry lush I love you really) I can't quite get a distinctive scent coming through a slight cinnamon slight citrus scent but it is so slight and so mild that it's hard to pinpoint what I'm trying to smell. I have been using these in my daughters bath because they feel special having a bath bomb like mummy.

Won't be repurchasing next year.

Cinders doesn't quite go to the ball!

I seem to acquire bath bombs faster than I use them and got this one in a gift pack during the Boxing Day sale. I used it on a rainy night when I was feeling achy so a bomb that includes cinnamon seemed like a good choice. I couldn't really detect the cinnamon in the scent though. No distinct smells stood out to me. It just seemed to have that lovely Lush shop scent which is a mix of all sorts of things.

This is quite a small bomb so I used the whole thing. When I put it in the bath it promptly went plonk to the bottom and started fizzing. I thought it must be a dud until I read the other reviews. The only colour that it went was yellow, leaving the bath water a rather disconcerting shade! The popping candy didn't do much either. There may have been a few sounds but I didn't really hear anything over my music or the torrential rain outside.

It was a pleasant enough soak and it left my skin feeling soft although I did feel a bit itchy on my arms and back whilst I was in the bath. It didn't really leave a scent in the bathroom afterwards like other bombs do. But there wasn't a load of glitter to clean up either! I wouldn't get this again unless it happened to be in a gift box I wanted as there are much more exciting bombs than this.

Nice for a cold evening

Yes to all the above lip marks.

After all the forum chat on lush I ran a bath. I put this in when running hot water. It swirled around and yellows and reds came out like a fire. It smells like cinnamon.

This ball is smaller than most of my other ones which I don't mind. What I didn't love was the urine yellow colour. My skin felt soft and nice afterwards.

This one is a perfect winters day bomb in my opinion

Leaves the bath water a disturbing colour

Lush is my life so of course I have to have all the bath bombs that take my fancy. One of these was Cinders. The thought of a bomb that is likened to a crackling fire excited me especially using something that crackles in the bath. In my trolley it went and to my door.

The bomb is actually smaller than I thought it would be but I have learned it's not the size of the bomb that matters but what is on the inside. I plopped this in the bath and watched and waited for the magic to come alive.

It dissolved quite quickly and I could hear as well as see the crackling that I was looking forward to. There was no spectacular event otherwise. The water turned a certain yellow that doesn't appear pleasing to my eyes. Instead it sort of grosses me out a bit. Nonetheless I got in and the smell that filled my nostrils was amazing. I just wish that the bomb was a tad more exciting to watch.

All things said and done it smells amazing and makes the bath a yellow colour. It leaves my skin slightly greasy which I don't like. It's not something I will ever buy again and lucky for me my son likes the ones I have left over from my over buying.

Open fire feeling?

I was generously gifted this bath bomb recently and decided to treat myself to a long relaxing bath yesterday, using this delicious little ball of goodness. I could smell the incredible scent through the wrapper; warm, rich and slightly sweet.

And that's where the excitement ends really.

For starters the size was much, much smaller than the average bath bombs at Lush and I was quite disappointed in that. It's one that you will really only get one use out of as it's not worth cutting in half. I held this under running water and it kind of fizzed but mainly sunk to the bottom so I had to crumble it up. The colours were very underwhelming for what I was expecting - mainly yellow with hints of red and orange, but it didn't swirl and spread throughout my tub as other bombs I've tried have done. Instead the colours clung to the sides of the bath and I had to swish it all around to get it distributed evenly. As I mentioned above, upon opening this the smell was extremely nice, but once dissolved the scent kind of dissipated and only lingered very faintly.

Once I got in the tub I could hear this strange crackling sound and could not for the life of me figure out where it was coming from! I had assumed that the little red rocks on top of the bomb were dyed salts, but they were in fact popping candies. Quite clever really but it did leave me feeling puzzled for a few minutes.

I could give this 5 stars for the fact that it makes my skin feel incredible but one of the highlights of using a Lush bath bomb is the beautiful colours and perfume that you get to experience. It imparts a total sense of relaxation and gives you a good reason to stay in the tub that little bit longer. I do really love how this made my skin feel though. Soft and smooth, ready to absorb my lotion, it really does wonders for my dry skin. And I am left feeling the benefits for days after, I will be very sad when the bath is removed and I can no longer use these treats.

So I am giving this particular bomb 3/5 on each category because it was disappointing to my senses but overall did what a bath bomb should do. Will I purchase again or recommend it to someone else? No, for your money you can purchase a much more pleasant bomb and it will likely be bigger than this one too - allowing for two uses rather than one.

For that Fireside feeling...

I was super excited to try this Lush bomb out. Pintsize's review on it was just glowing and I was glad that I had put it into my cart when I made my order. It arrived safely inside a mountain of packing peanuts and I took it out to smell it. It was good! It was also half the size of the bath bombs I usually get, so I made the executive decision to use all of it at once.

The color of this bomb is a bright yellow, with red popping candies on top. It's really quite cute, and I couldn't wait to see what surprises were inside. I plopped it in the bath and usually bombs fizz around the top - this one didn't. It sunk straight away, while still fizzing away. I waiting for the fire side sounds, but nothing came, and I was left with water that was the color of someone's super concentrated wees.

To be quite honest I didn't really notice any smell that stood out for me, it was just a bit of a bleh bomb. While I lay there something made noise and I assumed it was the bath getting ready to plunge me under the house, but no! It was the popping candies crackling away. It was quite comforting really, and it was enjoyable to listen to. It made up for the lack of excitement.

The water made my skin gloriously soft and I was pleased that the bomb wasn't entirely wasted. I was expecting reds, oranges and yellows seeing it's a fireside themed bomb, but I guess that's wishful thinking. I wouldn't buy this bath bomb again, but I probably would use it if I was given it again, just because I don't waste Lush ;-)

Cinders or Cinderella?

Every year before Christmas I always pick up a few Christmas Lush Bath supplies. Well lets face it every time they bring out their limited edition products I'm in there buying whatever takes my fancy. I find it funny though with the international companies that bring out the Christmas products in warming scents like this cinnamonny one - don't they know we are in Summer for Christmas! Well ... we are supposed to be in Summer anyway. So as soon as a cold snap hit in the middle of December I plucked out this bath bomb to try.

It is quite cute in an orangey yellow with popping candie on top of the round shape. To me the only scent I get from this is the cinnamon, but it smells very fresh and warm. I popped this into my bath and it started fizzing and changing the bath water to a yellow shade. Unfortunately for me having a dirty mind it made me think that someone had had an 'accident' in the bath water. Not something I really want to bath in. But the smell is pretty awesome, really strong which is what I love with Lush. The popping candy didn't seem to do much and I could see it at the bottom of the bath for a while once the rest of the bomb had fizzed away. As usual it made my skin feel lovely as well and really made for a relaxing experience.

Overall I really liked this one, even though the colour didn't really do it for me the warming scent was awesome. If I see this on sale on Boxing day I might pick up a couple as I would love to save them for the middle of Winter.

Crackle of an open fire

I am known to impulse buy and this was one of those situations but there was no buyers remorse here. Sweet cherry was the selling point to me along with the popping candy, I have had one other bomb with popping candy in it and there was no pops at all but this one didn't disappoint.

This chilly summers night was perfect to try out this interesting bath ballistic and feel like I am snuggled up in front of my fire.

This particular bath bomb is smaller than most of the Lush range and has a very strong scent, sweet and spicy it is yellow mottled with white and speckled with pink/orange popping candy which are also clustered in one patch. I am not normally a fan of spiced scents but this was very pleasant cinnamon like on a cappuccino but sweet and fruity.

I was hopeful that the popping candy would work so I hoped in my bath with it in hand and plucked a loose one off first to see if it would pop... nothing... it just sank and dissolved, I was skeptical that this would be the experience I was expecting. I dropped it in... it sank and fizzed on the bottom of my bath it made a symphony of sounds ranging from the rushing fizz to crackles and pops, and um well some unexpected gas like noises too haha.

As the bath water turned an interesting shade or yellow, the popping candy continued to crackle like an open fire for a few minutes all the while the fizzing took place at the bottom of the tub. The water was soft and moisturizing and absolutely perfect for a winter-y night... all that was missing was a mug of mulled wine

I used the whole thing as there may or may not be another one coming lmfao - sadly I am less than impressed! :-(

I didn't break mine up... just used it whole, I think it needs to be especially for a regular size bath (my makeshift bath is smaller than normal size tubs, can't wait to have a normal one) :)
