Purchased one of these afew years back as I had heard it was a cult classic and unfortunately mine didn’t seem to have much colour pay off it was like it had a film or layer over the top so not too sure if I got a dud or I just need to work into it more with my brush

Although this isn't my most grabbed bronzer, I do love layering over my elf primer infused bronzer which is my daily most loved bronzer especially if I want to add a little glow as it has small shimmers in it and I want it to match with my fake tan. I use this more in the summer as I love the luminosity it gives me
Tips: I apply a little over my collarbones and shoulders too and no issues.
I picked this up a long time ago as it is another product that gets mega hype on YouTube! I also was going through a major palette phase so picked this up in a NARS special addition palette that had a small Orgasm blush and Laguna bronzer. I have since picked up Nars Orgasm Blush in full size.
Nars packaging is lovely. With a black rubberised finish they do pick up makeup off your hands and table quite easily but that doesn't bother me. I do like that these are quite thin, makes them very easy to travel with. There is a mirror in the lid. But I don't really see the point of that when it is so thin.
I find Laguna a great bronzer, a wee bit darker though than what I use on an everyday basis. It is quite pigmented but else very easily built up and blended. It is more of a product to add a healthy glow as it does have a shimmer in it, not a glitter but a definite shimmer. I actually quite like that in a bronzer as it adds a healthy glow. This lasts as long as any other powder on me.
I find this quite dark on my mega pale skintone (although some still like this on pale skin) so do check reviews online to see if you will like this before purchasing as the full sized product is quite large and will last a long time.
This used to be my go to but I have recently switched to Mac. This is a really good product and although expensive it lasts me well over a year which is good value. It could blend out a little easier. It has a cute shimmer through it also
I love this product for bronzing and contouring. Although I love this product I do prefer the matte version. Nars also tests on animals so I always keep that in mind when purchasing makeup. Overall good staple bronzer.
Tips: Always use lightly and build up coverage as it is a soft buildable bronzer.
I have medium-dark skin and this works well as a contouring powder for me. Even though it contains shimmer, the particles are so fine that they don't really translate onto the skin, or are barely visible. That makes it perfect for contouring! Also this doesn't look orange like some bronzers do. It is more of a dusky brown with golden shimmer. I probably wouldn't repurchase only because I like my tarte bronzer a little better. But this is an amazing product!
I have this at home. Purchased originally in a duo with orgasm blush. I soon ran out of the bronzer with lots of blush to spear so have had to repurchase on its own. Live the colour and like that it is not sparkly
I decided to mix things up and try some NARS products and Laguna was at the top of my list to try. Like all NARS products the packaging is matte and classy looking while the product itself is gorgeous! A lovely shimmer to it, Laguna looks beautiful and sits beautifully on my skin (oliy)- I was nervous that being quite fair skinned it would look too dark but its easy to blend and build coverage with it - the NARS Ita brush is fab to use it with too! Its not quite my favourite as I adore Hoola too much but it is a gorgeous product and my only complaint would be that for the price you don't get much product and will hit pan if you don't use it evenly within a month
Tips: Get the NARS Ita brush!
NARS does no wrong when it comes to base products in my opinion, and Laguna is really no exception. Laguna is a great bronzer that should please most people, it's texture is firm so it builds up slowly, making it suitable for a range of skin tones (I'm very pale & i can use it). it lays on the skin nicely it has a natural matte finish which is very flattering. The colour is pretty neutral in the pan and you can get away with using it to contour or as a bronzer, which kinda brings me to my issue with it..
As a bronzer, like i said it's firm texture makes it buildable so i can use it but i just prefer a lighter shade that goes on more pigmented from the start..
As a contour it will do the trick but it isn't designed specifically for that purpose, i'd rather something that was, and had a cooler tone.
If you only want a minimal collection and you want a product to contour and bronze with then i do think this is a great choice. If you tan and your shade changes depending on that then this would be good because it is so buildable you can get varying depths and the finish is lovely. If you are heavy handed or simply prefer to have a bronzer that builds up slowly then go for it it's a classic. But for me i like it, it's not my favourite.
This is over-hyped, over-priced and under pigmented.
I've never understood the hype for this bronzer as it has basically no pigment, even when built up, it doesn't show up on my skin and I'm light-medium.
Its also incredibly over-priced for what you get, there isn't a lot of bronzer in here for the price and pigment, there are far better drugstore/cheaper alternatives than this one.
Save your money, don't buy it.
