This pencil is really easy to use - you only have to lightly glide on to the skin to obtain a good pigment. I found the brush weird at first because it's hard and scratchy, similar to a hairbrush that doesn't have the little balls on the end of the bristles, but I've since come to love it.
My problem with this pencil was 1) I was incorrectly colour matched at a Clarins counter. They chose #03 soft blonde for me as I have blonde hair and the staff all said it looked good. I thought it was too gold/orange for me and voiced my concern but they managed to pursuade me. Listen to your instincts people! 2) I have since found an eyebrow pencil for less than half the price that is the perfect colour for me and of a similar formula.
I won't be re-purchasing for these reasons, but if you are correctly colour matched and you're willing to spend that bit extra it is a really good product.
I bought this pencil out of desperation at all the previous brow products I had tried having a reddish tinge, which I find very unnatural on my skin.
Luckily for me, this is not reddish at all. It's a nice dark brown that applies easily and looks natural on my eyebrows. I use it to fill in the bulk of my brow after defining the edge with another (thinner) pencil. My only gripe is the included brush - I prefer a spoolie.
If you struggle to find a brown without obvious red - check this out.
Tips: Keep the pencil sharp for accuracy.
