Almay Smart Shade Blush Review

I got this at a make up sale a few months ago just to see what it was like. I was drawn in by the 'Smart Shade' products. It was pretty average really. It didn't really show up too well and i had to keep layering it to get a good color. Too much effort for minimal color. No thanks!

This product I found was hopeless to get any coverage took so much effort to get any results therefore I would not use this product again and wouldn't recommend it

I found that there was no colour pay off, I had to keep applying this layer after layer to get any sort of effect. And rather than having a nice, pink sheen on my cheeks I was left with what resembled a baby pink shimmer powder on my cheeks. I was hoping that there would be more of a colour pay off. I would not buy again! Thankfully I received this as a free gift from Farmers because I would not buy this.

I was so disappointed in this product. Thankfully I got it cheap at a sale as I was curious and wanted to try it out. I felt like more concentration was on the glimmer and there was no pigmentation in the actual blush colour! No matter how much I applied it did not deliver to my satisfaction. I felt you could barley see any blush, waste of time applying as I used another over top!

ARGH I found this blush super chalky, not the texture but the look, it was a strange colour and did not blend in at all really, once I got it blended as well as I could it was very white/powdery and looked more like a fair foundation powder. I paid $8 secondhand on facebook for it and feel really let down. Would not recommend it

I brought this at farmers as they had 50% off, i got it in shade Coral and it looked like it would be nice for the a warmer look, but i find the colour to be a bit off if you wipe it across your finger its light and shimmery however when i put it on your cheeks it looks very orange with the colour being built up and looks odd because it doesn't blend the best. I think i will keep it until summer time when i don't look so pasty and use as bronzer and to add some shimmer

This was the first Almay product I've ever used, and I was not impressed. The blush comes in a plastic, see-through compact, and comes with a small brush (which is attached in the back). It looks unique and promising, as the blush itself is light pink, with a darker pink spot design over it.

However, when you apply it, I feel like nothing happens. The colour fails to show up on my skin, and it doesn't even show up on my wrist, where my skin colour is alot lighter. Will definitely not be purchasing again.

I got given this product by a friend and I'm really glad I didn't pay for this, this is one of the most disappointing products I have ever used. It looks super cute in the packaging so I had such high hopes!

This is one of those products your meant to swirl with your brush/finger to "mix" the components to get your blush shade. Which is a nice idea, if it actually had any pigment. I am super pale and this blush doesn't show up on my skin at all. I've tried both brush and finger and nothing can make this product show up on my skin. The formula is super chalky and its pretty much impossible to even build it up. All it leaves behind are glitter particles.

I brought this product because i thought looked lovely! The blush is aesthetically pleasing. You can see the contents through the see-through lid, and the blush is a light col our, with bright pink polka dots!

I also brought it because i thought it would be easy to apply, and need minimal effort and time and I was right. Yes this blush is easy to apply. What more is it has a mirror and brush in the bottom section of the compact, so easy to apply when your on the go, and convenient to take with you in your handbag. However, that is all the positives i can say about this product.

I was honestly really disappointed. The outcome is very minamilistic, and i have to use quite a bit in order to achieve any colour.

Another negative is the more blush i use, the more glittery my cheeks become, and it does not look good when all you can see is glitter and no colour!

This blush looks pretty, and is designed well, but unfortunately, that's where all the positives end. The blush is not effective and so I would not recommend!

Usually I love Almay products, they are one of my go to brands, but I didn't love this blush. The colour is nice but not very opaque once applied. It leaves you with more of a shimmer powder effect than a blush. I was wanting to try the bronzer which looks similar but depth of colour from the blush has put me off.
