MAC Lipglass Review

I love these lip glosses! They come in a great range of colours and are super glossy - they really are glass like. Being gloss they don’t last super long on your lips but they do leave them soft and moisturised.They also smell good enough to eat. I love the Christmas gift sets of these that come in five or six minis in various shades - look out for them!

I have this in a hot pink and a deep purple - shade names long since wore off unfortunately, but I'm pretty sure the purple is called Rebel and the pink is Girl about Town

I buy the smaller sizes of these as they're more affordable but still last well. The applicator is a small doe foot that is easy to use, and the packaging is the usual sleek, luxe, mac clear and black style.

These look amazing on - shiny, glassy, packed full of colour. However to achieve that glass they're also very very sticky - I never wear them outside on windy days!

The colour also transfers easily being a gloss format, and doesn't last terribly long on lips. There is no real nourishing balm factor either.

So they're pretty and fun but not the best on the market in my opinion!

MAC is one of my favourite brands for lip products. The range and colours- yes please! They just are good quality and I have never been disappointed.

I own quite a few palettes, lipsticks and these lip glasses. I can’t get enough of these.

The packaging is distinctive of MAC, just sleek and stands out. The gloss is a nice formula and glides in the lips and gives a great colour.

The colour doesn’t stay on your lips for too long though. So I do tend to use my lipsticks rather than this lip glass. However, the shine on the lips and the lovely colour of the gloss just adds the right amount of shine for a night out.

I also use the clear lip glass over my regular lipstick and it just gives a great glossy finish.

Another great product from MAC.

This was generously given to me in a ROAK. MAC Lipglass in Rebel is a plum berry shade and although it applies in medium coverage it very pigmented. It's glossy, not as shiny as some of my other glosses but still a beautiful shine with a thin layer. You could apply this on it's own and get a dark plum lip. It leaves behind a stain. It's non drying. I wouldn't say it's overly tacky. The applicator is a nice size for applying it without it getting messy.

Now for the cons. It isn't cheap and while you can wear it on it's own, I find it slips towards your lip lines fairly quickly leaving the center of your lips looking bare and rubbing your lips together to pull the color back up doesn't work so well. If I wear it over a lip liner it does slip a bit, nowhere near as quickly as it on it's own but it looks more of ombre than a bare lip in the middle which is okay. I don't think I would purchase this just because I don't like how I can't wear it on it's own and I'm more into lipsticks atm.
