I purchased the gold and the white colors at Farmers and wasn't that impressed by either of them. They are a bit too thick and went cakey really easily. The color holds well but thats about it.

I picked this up at a clearance sale I wanted to give this eye shadow a try . I love how maybelline can be found at most stores. Easy to access brand.
Packaging comes in a glass pot with screw top lid . Feels sturdy . Consistency is creamy and pigmented . Application goes on well with my index finger and warms on the eye .
Overall this is priced fairly . It does a good job . I have purchased more shades from this line before .
I love the concept of these colour tattoos and already own one of the matte limited addition ones. I think the creamy consistency along side the glittery specks is a perfect combination for a more wearable glitter look - and isn't seen much on the market. So I like the colour, like the texture, like the idea. But it didn't quite last a whole day, let alone 24 hours. The gold had kind of flaked away by the end of my work day. I would still use it again definitely though, and may build up my collection of these products.
Tips: It is super easy to apply with an eyeshadow brush, and although I didn't try, i'm sure it would slide on with your fingers really well too. Makes a great base for the many gold-ish shades in Naked 1 and 2
this product is okay it i really creamy when you first buy it but then it drys out and goes all gross
Tips: keeplid on tight
I've tried a few of Maybelline's Colour Tattoos and "Bold Gold" is one of my favourites.
Like all of the Colour Tattoos, the formula is very pigmented and gives really good colour payoff. I've previously had the shade 'Eternal Gold' but I prefer this one much more as it's more of an antiquey gold as opposed to a yellow gold, with a shimmery finish. I normally apply eyeshadow using a brush, but I found this works best applied using my finger to blend it in.
The pot-style packaging works well with this product, the heavy glass pot with screw-top black lid looks a lot classier than a plastic shadow while letting you distinguish between colours if you have a few of them. They're also good if you're looking at a versatile product to take away with you as the packaging is really sturdy. I often use this as either an inner eye highlight or a pop of colour when I'm short on time.
In terms of longevity I find the colour wears well without creasing all through the day even without eye primer.
For the price you pay you get sooo much product and you really don't need to use a lot of colour making it really great value for money and I highly recommend you try Colour Tattoos if you haven't already.
Tips: Forget the brush, finger application is the way to go!
I love maybelline a colour tattoos, they are a great product! Bold Gold is a beautiful true gold colour. It's nice and creamy and applies really well, isn't clumpy like some similar products I've tried. It's very pigmented and if applied right doesn't crease. I get oily lids and haven't had any issue with Bold Gold creasing on me. In fact once it dries down it is pretty hard to budge! It doesn't flake off either. I use the colour tattoos as a base normally but Bold Gold is really beautiful on its own and my favourite look so far has been when paired with a purple on the lower waterline. You can really intensify it by adding a golden shadow over top.
I have really been liking all the colour Tattoo's from Maybelline but this is one of my favorites, whether I use it on its own or as a base underneath my eye-shadow its great. If I use it as a base my eye-shadow stays on longer and appears brighter. It goes on smoothly and doesn't appear cakey at all, lasting power is great but I wouldn't suggest leaving it on for 24 hours but thats with any makeup. But it does last the day or night without reapplying. You can choose if you want to go with a plain look or if you want to spice it up you can by adding eyeliners or other shadow colours.
Tips: I do tend to use my ring finger instead of a brush but that is just my preference.
Although i dont wear my makeup for 24hours, i would say it stays put all day (using eye primer) and is very pigmented and has barely any fallout. It use it on the lid with browns in my crease and its a beautiful gold.
Tips: Apply eye lip primer which will help prevent fallout creasing and increase the stay power
Was so excited to trial this product, have been looking at the Bad to Bronze but its always out of stock. Comes in a wee little twist off pot. Lovely and creamy feeling, I swiped on my hand and noticed the glistening gold specks, cute. I first applied with my finger all over eyelid (wasn't going out that day) to see how long it lasts without creasing and it did for about 4 hours then I noticed yes indeed it had started to crease. Next day I applied a primer first then the Bold Gold, much better didn't crease for about 8 hours, didn't disappear at all. I then wanted to play with other eye shadows, which I used natural browns and used the Bold Gold all over my eyelid with a brush and the other shadows on top except in the corners of my eyes, love this look really made my eyes pop. Felt it helped keep my eye shadow on longer and no creasing all day, fabulous. Will be looking for more colors that will suit me.
I know this is a cult favourite but i don't get it, i bought two of these in the hopes of buying even more. But I'm quite disappointed. They were a bit dried up even though they were brand new, it was hard to get them into a brush or my finger. The shimmery ones are just SHIMMER, it was too much and their was no balance, they creased real bad on me too. I must be doing something wrong but i apply them the way youtube gurus do. Such a shame because i wanted them to work for me.
