Daily wear

I have used this product until I ran out. I love the brush, it’s easy to use and i find it provides good coating to each individual eyelash. I find the formula good, not wet and when applying the mascara, it’s not clumpy. It’s a nice black colour, long wearing. It heaps define the eyelashes but it doesn’t provide the long length that I like. I would say that it’s suitable for simple daily wear, but this isn’t the mascara for you if you want a dramatic mascara.

Revlon Customeyes Mascara - Review

When I found this on sale at The Warehouse, I was super excited to try it as all my friends were raving about it.

The packaging is good and sleek, and the brush clicker setting is a really good concept but it just didn't work for me. Plus, the brush moving shape slightly doesn't even make a difference to my lashes... oh well.

The brush on this picks up waaay too much product and when I blink goes all over my eyelids and under my eyes too. It ended up clumping and taking me about 20 minutes to do my mascara which made me late.

As for lasting time, it wasn't too bad over the course of the day and it had minimal smudging which was the only thing I was impressed with.

I still use the brush of this clean to comb through my lashes, but I tossed the actual mascara itself.

I definitely won't be getting this again, there are other similarly priced mascaras out there that do a MUCH better job for me.

Good base

This mascara is the perfect base to layer on multiple coats of another mascara to add what it lacks; volume and length. Don't get me wrong I like this product but maybe it should have been marketed differently because I can't see length and I only just get a glimpse of the drama and definition but $35 worth of it? Nope.

It's quite a slender tube compared to all the jumbo ones we get these days but I like that in a mascara. It has adjustable bristles which are short, hard and nicely spaced which I like because it helps separates my lashes.

I care very little for the "customeyes" gimmick of the product I don't see any difference when using one setting over the other (setting 1: length/drama setting 2: length/definition). Personally it's hard to spot the difference in bristle lengths once the wand is covered in mascara. Having said that unlike a number of gimmicks I've come across it was easy to switch settings - no nail breaking teeth jerking episodes for me!

What I like is the lightweight formula which goes on quite wet and dries down to a gorgeous jet black. Even though I get no volume or length I love that it sets the foundation to add multiple layers of a mascara that will add volume and length. I can apply 3 coats with barely any clumps and anyone who loves mascara can appreciate that.

I would recommend this to anyone wanting a natural look but seriously don't pay full price. I bought mine off of NZSale for $5.

Revlon custom eyes

I purchased this from the warehouse for $10 when I was away at my cousing wedding and forgot my mascara so i just brought a cheepy to do for for the day. I really like this product so I even repurchased it since it was so cheep.

The packaging is nice and simple, a black cylinder with silver writing on it, I liked the idea of one mascara which had 2 different options of the out come.

I found the brush fitted in my hand nicley and was really easy to apply to my lashes, I did find it annoying how my lashes keept sticking together but after i had applyed my 2-3 coats which i normally do i just used a bobby pin to separate them which worked quite well.

The brush has two options 1- length and definition and 2- length and drama and to be quite honest i didnt even notice any difference between the two. I did number 1 on my left eye and number 2 on my right eye and to me they both looked the same which was a bit of a bummer I was hopeing for a difference.

Once you have finished for the day and it comes to removing your make up this mascara is really easy to remove, I find some mascaras really hard to remove and you feel like you need to scrub your eyes

One of my faves

This mascara is one of those products that you usually overlook because it doesn't catch your eye or appear particularly flashy in design, but the quality of it is incredible!

I always found myself reaching for this mascara whenever I needed defined and volumised lashes. It separates each lash without clumping, provides thickness, and never gives off that spidery effect. I need to repurchase this once I've used up my other mascaras. Hands down definitely one of the most underrated mascaras (and my all-time faves)!

The only slight "con" I have is that it didn't feel like there was much of a difference between the two adjustable bristles? It feels like more of a placebo than anything, if I'm being honest. But besides that, I would definitely recommend this as an all-round mascara for any kind of event.

Tips: keep layering if you need more drama and definition.

Revlon - Custom Eyes Mascara

I feel like I'll be thrashing this product due to the great reviews down below, but there were a few problems I had with this. First off, the brush grabbed far too much mascara for an easy application, and this made it take long to dry. It's wand was also too big for me, so this doesn't get used often. But the wear was pretty good, but the application let me down.

Tips: Wipe the tip of the wand (and possibly the wand too) for an easier application.

Fantastic

I purchased at a makeup sale because i needed a mascara so i grabbed it without any knowledge of it and turns out i chose well. when i first started using it i thought yay i'm getting great volume and it is not clumping at all. I have had it a couple months now and still the same as i brought it. You can click the top where it moves the bristles on the wand to add volume i found this fantastic for the corners and bottom lashes. I will definitely purchase again

Affordable Holy Grail

I was introduced to this product when I was gifted it for my 19th birthday. Honestly, I didn’t think much of it, and probably wouldn’t have been a product I would choose for myself. It was more like a product I would walk straight past because it’s plainly packaged in a black cylinder with silver writing. Yes it was slightly interesting that it could create two looks but still, that didn’t really make me that excited to try this.

So the product can create dual eye looks, or so it says. By turning the dial at the top of the mascara lid, you can choose between creating eyelashes with length and drama, or with length and definition. When you turn the dial, part of the mascara wand moves. Personally, I don’t find a huge difference by adjusting the dial, and I normally just leave it on length and definition because that is what I want from mascara.

The mascara consistency is slightly creamy, and has a nice thickness to it. It’s also jet black, and I love nothing more than jet black mascara. Application is easy, and I apply a few coats of mascara on, and wiggle the wand to separate my lashes. I have to say, this product does a great job of evenly coated my lashes without making them look clumpy, and gives them amazing definition as well as length.

Since I was 19, I have probably purchased 3 of these mascaras each year. They are so affordable, and create amazing eye looks so easily. I tend to buy them on special, but I would honestly pay full price for this, and that’s saying something. If you’re looking for affordable mascara, this is one you should try. I would recommend this to my friends, except they already use it!

Tips: Have a look around for this product as some places sell them a lot cheaper than others. For example i buy mine from the Warehouse for $10

Great Product

This was one of the first mascaras I ever bought and it just recently ran out so I need to get anew one ASAP. This mascara is perfect for lengthening and volumising but what I love most about it is that it is easily removed with makeup wipes (probably because its not waterproof). I absolutely hate when mascara is still on my lashes days after. As for the twisting mechanism thats meant to give you 2 different looks...I really don,t see the difference, I dont know if thats just me or there actually isn,t much difference but thats not a deal breaker for me and I will continue to use it anyway.

Amazing value and amazing results

I bought this as an impulse buy along with some non- beauty things I was buying for the kids because it was on sale for some rediculous price, so I figured it was worth a try. I like the look of the tube, it's a bit smaller than my other mascaras, and neat and classy looking. The formula has a nice feel to it, it's not thick and clumpy at all. I do notice a difference when using the different settings, the length and definition is good when I want to get the tiny lashes in the corners of my eyes, and the length and definition I like when I want a bit more of a noticeable eye look. I would buy this again at full price.

Tips: Don't pump the wand in and out of the tube, it makes the mascara go gluggy by pumping air into it.
