When I think of an eyeliner I think pencil or liquid. Along came this pot of black gold in the form of gel liner. Gel liner? Surely not for eyes? How would it work? Would I get the straight line I crave? All this was about to be answered in the best way possible.
I got given the elf eyeliner brush with it and oh what a great invention. It took me a couple of tries but it was far easier than I thought it would be to get the line straight and where it needed to be. I find even my shaky nervous hands even don't make a difference in a good line as long as I am using the elf eyeliner brush and the Rimmel Gel Liner. It's far easier to use than any other liners I have ever used. I never thought of putting on eyeliner with a brush, until now that is.
I did find the pot a little tiny but seriously with the small amount you need to achieve a dramatic or less dramatic look even it lasts you for a long time. The money is certainly worth it because the finish you get and how long it lasts surpasses any dollar value and keeps giving back. The texture is a smooth velvet like substance and not like I thought it would be. It's more like mascara in a pot. It puzzles me but after using it, it excites me beyond words. My lines have reached a level of perfection and I shall continue to perfect my cat eye! This is also easier with the eyeliner brush....who knew?!
When used with the right mascara this gel liner can help pull off the most intense, effective eye make up. I like to use this liner to intensify my top eyelashes, the brush is good quality but I prefer to use my angled Mac brush to apply by pushing liner up in to the roots of my top lashes giving a more naturally thick look.
Tips: Use a angled brush for a more defined look
