Aveeno Smart Essentials Facial Moisturiser Night

Too thick and hard to rub in . I didn't like the feel or texture on my skin. It didn't all melt in and was still oily on my skin in the morning.

I was gifted this cream by my mother, as she did not want to finish using it. I was nearly out of my regular nightcream, so I decided to give this a go. I have used Aveeno products before, but not a nightcream by them.

The cream comes in a yellow 48g pot. It is easy to apply with your fingers. The cream soaks into the skin well, and feels rich and moisturising.

The key ingredients are vitamins A, C and E. I have noticed an improvement in my skin in the past month or so that I have been using this cream. I think the vitamin A has helped to even out my skintone, and has also helped to clear up my hormonal breakouts.

The one major drawback of this cream is the smell. There is no getting around it. It has a very strong scent, like sunscreen almost. It is quite overwhelming when you first use it.

It is quite a thick consistency but it is easily applied. It is quite moisturising but it has a weird smell. Overall it's quite nice and leaves your skin feeling soft.

I love trying Aveeno's products since most of them worked really well for me. I don't normally use a night cream since I usually use a moisturizer for day and night, so I thought I'd give this ago.

The smell, is just immaculate, this is how I wish Aveeno's lotion or hand cream would smell. It smells really good for my liking. However, it maybe a bit strong for others.

The moisturizer is thick in consistency, more like a cream than a moisturizer. A little goes a long way and it feels very nice on your face after applying it. However, when I wake up in the morning, I felt as if my face was too greasy, it doesn't look refreshed at all. I didn't see any difference on my skin at all.

I really like this moisturiser. I have sensitive skin with dry patches and found that my skin was really smooth and soft after a few days of use.

I have never used a night cream before so wasn't sure what to expect and wasn't very impressed. I know that night creams are heavier than day creams but I thought this one was a bit too thick and left me looking greasy. I am also definitely not a fan of the scent which is very strong. This is also the product in the range with the least cute packaging, the box is nice but the tub inside is boring, it's not really an important point but I just love my products to look nice on the vanity. The tub is much smaller than I expected, and Aveeno products already cost more than I usually spend on skincare so I didn't think the size was worth the price.

This was my go-to night cream before I began using Trilogy, and was the first specific 'night cream' that I used (rather than just one moisturiser for both day and night). It's also got quite a few natural products in it, which made me feel like I was treating my skin to a great cream.

It came free in a goodie bag at Fashion Week.

It was wonderfully hydrating and I woke up with plump, soft skin. It was what convinced me that night creams are essential, and that regular day moisturiser doesn't have the same effect. Aveeno is lovely and gentle, and I had no problems with this product.

It's very affordable for such a good product, and for so much product. I used this until I began on Trilogy products, and I've kept the rest of my jar in case I ever run out of my Trilogy stuff and need a backup. I'd strongly recommend it as a very effective, affordable night cream.
