I got this for my partner to use, as he has more sensitive skin than I do and the cleanser he used was no longer available.
It has a very subtle, fresh smell without being overpowering or obviously feminine which was important to him.
Overall, it isn't bad but we found it hard to lather nicely with bare hands and slightly improved with a facecloth. It doesn't feel clean without the facecloth and I'm not sure how much it was actually removing in terms of daily grime.
It's gentle, but more suited to being used with a facial brush or a cloth of some kind and he doesn't want to do that.
I suffer from rosacea and have quite sensitive skin. I find my evening cleanser a little too drying for 2x daily use. I double cleanse with it at night. But in the morning use the Snowberry So Soft cleanser. I have been doing this routine for approximately a year, and my skin looks better than if I don't cleanse in the morning or if I use my evening cleanser. The Snowberry so soft cleanser is great for acne prone/sensitive skin. It is not designed to remove makeup, so I can see why people find it ineffective. The consistency is a watery clear gel and doesn't lather well. The formula does not harm the protective lipid barrier, so my skin feels clean after but very soft, and not dry or tight at all. I do use a cleansing oil prior to the cleanser to make sure I am getting rid of the dirt and bacteria build up from the night. But I do love following up with this cleanser for a light and gentle morning cleanse. I was using the Snowberry gentle cleanse & tone in the morning, but this is slighter cheaper and gives the same result - a light gentle cleanse. I also find this formula better for my skin personally as it has no fragrance, and minimal ingredients. So if you do have sensitive skin that flares up when you over-cleanse (more than once daily) you might really enjoy the so soft cleanser! However, if you are looking for a night time, deep double cleanse, makeup removing product this cleanser will not be for you unfortunately.
