MAC Prep + Prime Fix + Review

I feel like there is a secret with this product that I don't know yet, because I just don't find it as epic as all the reviewers below do. Still, this isn't uncommon for me with M.A.C (their Strobe Cream for example just doesn't agree with my face!) so maybe that's why.

I picked up a 30ml of this passing through duty free in Hong Kong, which was about $16 NZ. For that price, it was totally worth a try.

The packaging is the typical classy simple M.A.C - black writing on the plastic bottle which in this case is a see through silvery white with a black cap. I like that the cap locks with a simple twist, and that the see through bottle allows you to see how much product is left effortlessly.

When I spray this I have to literally hold it at arms length, otherwise the spray is too heavy. I feel like in order to be more effective the mist needs to be finer. It smells okay - perhaps a little on the 'cleansing product' side scent wise, and I would prefer that it were lightly scented (think Anna Sui florals) or totally unscented if I'm spraying it on my face.

It seems to give makeup a nice finish and increase the staying power, but so do other, cheaper ones I've tried.

All in all, I'll happily use this up, and would consider buying this size at that price again, but there is absolutely no way, ever, I'd pay full price for a full size unless someone lets me in on the secret I'm clearly missing out on!

My all time FAVOURITE product :) this literally makes any foundation look amazing with minimal use! Just a few sprays evenly on your face and your skin looks refreshed and foundation just looks better! It smells amazing also which is always a plus for me :) I feel like it's worth the investment and everyone should have one in their make up kit/bag.

I bought the smaller size of this on the mac cosmetics official website. I was so excited to get it as I have always heard good things about it and its what everyone I youtubed was using to set their makeup. The first time I sprayed it, it didn't come out in a fine mist it came out like in tiny droplets. I was disappointed for sure then after I kept using it, it would spray a lot better. It was very nice and refreshing and left my skin looking more natural after using a setting powder. It definitely made my makeup last a lot longer. Would buy this product again for sure.

I brought this off a girl who didn't really like it. So i thought oh what the hell i'll give it a go. I LOVE it! My makeup lasted forever! makes me look glowey and flawless. when i go out i use it before primer (refreshes and makes my make up last that bit longer) and then again once i finish and a fan dry my face to ensure it dries nicely.

Well. Well. I think that it is safe to say that this is a product you darn well need in your life. This is multi-purpose, at least for me. I use under foundation, over foundation, with foundation, under eyeshadow...just, you need it, ok?

Another Mac product that i had to get my hands on because this just seems to be one of the Mac products that everyone has. I could be wrong but that it just how it seems.

Firstly, i got this off the MAC USA website and used youshop to get here which made this product cost $45 NZD, but according to this listing on BR, when you buy it from New Zealand it is $80, which is very very expensive, so when reading this review, just know i paid $45 for this item.

This comes in a tall slender plastic bottle, which has a slightly frosted look to it. It has a matte black lid, with a built in pump spray, and the first time i used this i had to pump and pump and pump for ages, before it would spray! After the first fear that it was broken, i just realised i clearly was not patient. Whoops.

This product is a liquid, and looks ever so slightly thicker than water, and it smells really nice (or i think so anyone). This product when sprayed, sprays like a thin mist so that is something i really like about the product. No one likes their fresh makeup being drenched with a solution, even if it smells good.

The thing about this product is that it can be used in several ways. One way i like to use this product is by spraying it over my makeup to set it. It also makes my skin look flawless, natural and dewey, and that is something i love.

The second way i like using this product is by spraying it onto my eye shadow brush before i put my brush into a pan. This is because it makes the colour so much more pigmented and vibrant. Clearly some eye shadows are pigmented enough without the fix plus, but sometimes, eye shadows need an extra boost to help pack it onto the eyelid and this is perfect for that.

For $45.00, i would purchase this again in a heartbeat. However, for $80, well i would still purchase it but i would treat it like liquid gold because that is expensive.

I have this in travel size, its great if i have over powdered my face, it makes my makeup less cakey which is why i use it. packaging is simple

Okay, so I only lost my MAC virginity a couple of months ago, and Fix+ was among the first products I purchased. It is absolutely great for making powder look completely natural... On my lazy makeup days I only use powder and Fix+ to set it and I have full coverage that stays all day and looks so natural. It feels super nourishing on the skin and smells absolutely amazing! Every time I use it I am reminded of my first MAC experience and just want to go back to get more product! Doesn't set my makeup as much as I like for a night out (mainly because I am wearing a lot more makeup and my face goes through a lot of eating, drinking, cray selfies and general dancefloor antics), but great for every day use. Would definitely recommend to anyone that's looking for an everyday setting spray!

The product is a lovely refreshing spray, it doesn't help fix my makeup but helps me get a finished look. There are days when my skin can be extremely dry, even after moisturising thoroughly, and foundation and powder application is done I find my face looks cakey, but when I spray this on it just gives me a nice dewy look and the cakiness goes away. I use this pretty much everyday in the winter.

I love MAC Fix+ I tend to have very dry skin in winter and this spray works wonders for hydrating my skin pre foundation application and hold my make-up in place for the day, I've also used it to set stage make-up for performances and it really sets your face well and keeps you hydrated.
